People don’t know what they are talking about when they diss this place. OK, it’s not super fancy, but then go to one of those«fake» Brazillian BBQ places and pay a fortune if that’s what you want. But if you want the real deal, delicious bbq meats, and a buffet with a ton of variety, then this is your place. Great value. Plus, amazing caipirinhas!

Two words: mice infested. U have been warned. Husband and I were there for a late lunch as i was craving brazilian food. What a big mistake. Its clearly low end, the rodizio is inexpensive and it comes with a large selection of dishes from the buffet. As soon as i saw the mouse under the buffet table i couldnt eat what was on my plate. I brought it to the attention of the waiter and he said: «I know, i saw him and have been trying to catch it». Just like that, as it was no big deal. Never again. Gross.

We went Casanova Brazilian Barbecue with a party of 8, we had 6 adults 2 children and we where seated at two small tables barely enough room for all of us. The dining room is pretty dingy more like a cafeteria then a restaurant some of the servers and manager where simply rude. No one asked us when we sat down if we even wanted drinks or anything we had to ask to even get a soda. We all were having the rodizio and what meat wasn’t too salty or bloody was just OK. In all honesty there isn’t one thing that ate that was memorable and the servers didn’t come around enough with meat that pissed my wife off she complained and still nothing and she’s Brazilian I kind of left there hungry not a good sign when leaving a restaurant. I have had rodizio in a few other restaurant in this area and this one is the worst by far I would try a different place if looking for rodizio all in all I would NOT recommend Casanova Brazilian Barbecue to family and friends

I’ve been to a lot of expensive places but this is the best so far. I’m surprised they have very low rating.

This is the first time I actually review something, but here’s goes short and sweet, place is pretty good. I came here on a Sunday Evening with my family. The good. *prices *well cooked meat /variety *amount of food available *very kind staff *Place looks nice Cons. *Seems a bit understaffed, even though they try, there just wasn’t enough of them to keep up. Most definitely not the waiters their fault. And this doesn’t help with guest experience. *Even though the BBQ meat is good, the rest of the food is descent. Understaffed = bad service, BBQ meat doesn’t come around enough. and descent buffet food only allow me to give them a 3.

I went to Casa Nova on 9÷31÷13. I brought a friend and mentioned to her one time I went there I had a basic rodizio plate assorted and it wasnt bad. Anyway when I went here over Labor Day weekend I was not happy. I placed two orders for rodizio. I ordered and pitcher of sangria and they mentioned that the salad bar was with the rodizio. Here is where thing go down hill. We waited for the meat for about 20 min meat wasnt bad. The place was so cheap they wouldnt even give us rice and beans like any other rodizio in Newark. I think we both had about 3 or 4 pieces of meat and I asked the guy doing the cooking what was up and he told me nothing was cooked. Mind you we were in this place at 9 pm on a Sat nite. The salad bar sucked to be blunt. I told the waitress that I wanted the meat with the rice and beans and she copped an attitude. Tried to order another pitcher of sangria and was denied. I asked for the bill when I got it told them to shove thier meat you know where paid them and didnt give a tip. The place was lousy to be blunt. Walk another 100 feet in the plaza and there is Boi Na Braza go in there be treated like a king. Go to the one on Clover Street and that place has it going on. Come on Casa Nova are you people ready for restaurant nightmares? I will never go back not when there are hundreds of places in Newark to eat wanting your money. Just stay away and if you decide to go remember what I posted. Never play games with people that are in the same business as you. Im a manager at a restaurant and I wouldnt never treat my customers the way I was treated. I feel I got not only robbed but raped as well. For anyone who reads this Im italian not brasilian or portugeuse. The girl I dated lived there for 20 years so I do know many more places in Newark to go just decided to give them another shot. There is no grudge against this place just want people to know the way I was treated and to look out should you go. Thank you for reading my review.

Compared to the other Rodizio restaurants in the area. This one is very ehhh. The meats were over cooked and the salad bar was very bare. I would go elsewhere.
