Our service provides a way for commuters to use their mobile messaging devices to help each other by sharing real-time alerts & updates with fellow travelers.
In January of 2006, on the morning after a particularly tough evening commute home, I stood on the train platform and saw people I «knew» doing the same thing as me: waiting for the train… reading their Blackberries.
It dawned on me that we were a loosely-joined community… and that we could actually be of help to each other.
Clever Commute was born. It was a «handshake agreement» with a few of my fellow commuters. Now, we cover all train service to NYC… and more. We have over 5,600 people signed up!
