It’s a bare bones basic Marriott. I stayed here for one night on Monday and it’s very basic. They are stingy on the room amenities. They didn’t even provide body lotion, just one bar of soap, one tube of shampoo and one tube of conditioner. For the rate that I paid, I would have expected more. I went on to stay at two other Marriott’s in NJ for the next two days, and they were much better!

Very clean and quiet room. Kayla at the receiving desk very helpful, friendly and charming. Hotel shuttle driver very nice and welcoming. Had to overnight in Newark to catch flight tomorrow at 7pm for Rome and the Marriott experience has made this truly a lovely beginning to our trip.

Comfortable hotel fairly conveniently located near Newark Airport. The rooms are clean and well designed. There is no restaurant but instead a «bistro.» The bistro is really a snack bar. The food looks good but we came to late to try it(we were bumped from another hotel). My point it is not a bistro but okay for a quick bite.

I can only blame myself for the noisy location that isn’t close to anything other than the airport. After all, I booked the room knowing that. But the roar of the trucks on the highway literally shake the building as does the planes. The boiler went into repair so we were without hot water for a big chunk of day 2 of the visit. The staff was decent, but certainly didn’t go out of their way to smile. The«bistro» has breakfast and dinner hours only. Prices for that and for the Starbucks Coffee on site are ridiculously high. Almost every other Marriot I stay at offers free lobby coffee which honestly taste better. Next time I will try some place further out.

Why do I keep staying at Marriott? This one had poor service and the rudest, most unsafe idiot of a shuttle driver I’ve ever encountered

It’s convenient to the airport, which is nice. However this place gets only two stars from me because the lack of restaurant or bar. Instead, there is a small, overpriced«bistro» that closes at 10pm, including alcohol sales. I have never been to a hotel with a bar that shuts down that early. As others noted, there is nothing within walking distance so good luck getting dinner or a cocktail should you take an evening flight to Newark after work like I did. I will never stay here again. Very disappointing for a courtyard Marriott.

Not bad for a short stay, close to the airport with shuttle running every 30 minutes. We arrived on 4th of July, tired, got room on the fist floor facing parking lot — not the best. The hotel was not sold out for sure, I should have asked for a room with at least some view and upstairs. But we were tired… No breakfast but little bistro that closes at 10PM. Wish they stayed open longer since getting there from the City takes about an hour and there is nothing else around. Staff seemed to be not that interested and pleasant but I just needed this for couple of nights before taking off from EWR.

There are other Marriotts nearby, go there. I am a Marriot rewards member and This hotel is by far the worst Marriot I have ever stayed at. It is old, dirty, poorly staffed with employees who seem bored with their job. It is close to the airport but there nothing within walking distance so you are stuck unless you want to take a cab. There is no restaurant, just a snack shack of sorts with mediocre food. I ordered tomato mozzarella flatbread. Where’s the cheese? I give it one star because the bed was soft and the pillow was comfy.

This is a nice simple hotel. It’s clean, friendly, and not far from Newark airport. There isn’t much around the hotel but this isn’t the hotel for a vacation really. The gym is small but they have one. For some reason I notice people like to hang out there but not exercise, odd. The rooms are big, roomy, there’s a fridge which is always good. Free internet, can’t beat that. My only complaint is room service isn’t 24 hours, or all day. It’s morning, then stops until 5 – 10. But they do have a good selection of snacks and microwaveable foods in the little shop. I probably won’t order there Starbucks coffee again. It isn’t terrible but definitely isn’t a white chocolate mocha, of which I’m an expert. I’d stay here again though, it’s a good value, and the staff are great.
