This contractor is a slum lord. His wife and him own Grigsby Rentals… if you see anything from this company. RUN!!!He has over 120 + properties, which include land, rental properties, and houses they have built in the Newark Ohio area, and his rental properties are falling apart, and shoddily built, but he continues to buy more property that he wont take care of. We contacted them via phone, emails, and certified letter of a leaky roof in the garage not to far from an electrical outlet in early Feb. He told us to put a bucket under it and he would send somebody… as of sept 1^st. still not fixed :(:(.on setpt 27^th they came out to assess it, and on the 28^th attempted to fix it. .after we sent a letter out about rental escrow they came to repair it… only took em 7 months and a day.:(:(We also asked him to repair our central air… and after a month and a half he finally did, of repeated lies of someone coming out… or someone cancelled on him… the lies go on and on, then complained that it was «BREAKING THE BANK».we pay 650.00 a month. We asked him about some lawnwork, and found out one of his sons does lawn work for em… we were lucky to have our yard mowed every 3 weeks. Had to mow one time myself. When tenants contact him for repairs, his famous words are «I FORGOT», or «I will send someone out to look at it», and no one ever shows up. He doesnt return phone calls, or if he does he make it out that he is so busy, and to be patient… he will get to ya… The list goes on and on about this rental/​construction company. Do your research on this husband/​wife/​family company. Trust me. we wish we had. we would not have rented/​bought anything from him if we had known. Public record shows he has several lawsuits for failure to return security deposits, amongst other things we have found out about his rental company and his construction company. We have submitted our notice and will take him to court ourselves if he does not return our deposit. We hope posting this will help others from getting into the mess we found ourselves in.
