I made an appointment for sat at 11 am. No body showed up or called. I called several times, no one answered. I don’t know if there anything good I can say

Stayed home Friday for a quote. They never came or called. Came home early today for a quote they never came or called. I wouldn’t say they do a good or bad job because I wouldn’t know. They just never show up. Business must be pretty good for them to be throwing away jobs. If you value your time, do not stay home or miss work for an estimate.

They did a great job. Mike came to do the estimate and was not pushy at all. We had a 42 foot wooden fence. They were a little late for the estimate and on the day of the work but when they arrived they took care of business. I did most of my communication with Mike via emails. He offered better deals if you get more work done.
They were also flexible on scheduling since it rained on the original date we requested. We had 2 guys who took about 6 hours to demo our existing fence and replace it with a new one and a new gate. His warranty was for 2 years for parts and labor. I got the extended warranty for 5 years parts and labor. The only thing I wished was that they cleaned up a little more. I asked them to sweep an extra round to remove any dirt and debris which they were more than willing to do but I still found some loose nails from the demo hanging around.
They did a great job doing what I requested with the wooden gate and new hinge and latches. I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for quality work and material. Their prices are competitive.

My neighbor and I are very pleased with our fence. Sammy was great and got me a quote very fast. They had an opening and were able to install it that weekend. The guys got there on time and installed the fence in about 7 hours. They cleaned up their mess and the fence looks great. Great job guys!

We picked them from their reviews in Unilocal and were delighted with their work! They arrived at 8:00 this morning and were packed up and finished cleaning everything by 3:00 for a 120′ fence and gate. We were impressed by the quality and the «style» of the fence. Not just one where the boards are just slammed onto a frame. Would recommend them highly.

After reading all the great reviews I’m a little disappointed. Don’t get me wrong the fences look great but the crew was in such a hurry to get out of here they left garbage from their lunches in our yard and just poured the left over cement on the lawn. I also found a jacket lol. If you promise to have a job done in X amount of days you should hold to it and not skimp on details, then rush to get it all done.

Sammy is running a shady business, I was originally quoted a price from Deepak. I verbally agreed on the price and said I will come by the office to finish up the paper work and make a schedule. When I went to office to sign the quote. Sammy stated he can’t do the Job at that price, when asked why, he said he wasn’t making any money and started marking up the original quote, it was now $ 500.00 more, in his own words he said he owns the company and can change it if he doesn’t agree with it. WTF you have estimators (Deepak) providing quotes and then he changes them when the customer is ready to sign the contract. Not cool on running business that way. There are other fence companies that are honest and do good work.

These guys are great! Great price, workers are very nice, very fast and friendly. Quality work. Cleaned up the job site perfectly when done. What more could you ask for? Thanx again Dorothy!

Ok, few businesses are perfect.
I worked with Deepak who came out to give a bid back in May on three sections of two fences with two neighbors. We wanted to get competitive bids from other companies so contacted a few.
Two never called back.
One we used before sent out a horrible estimator… still waiting for a follow up call BTW…
We felt «stuck» with Newark Fence but as they say, things happen for a reason. After some back and forth with pricing and a fence build date we secured their services and am very happy things worked out the way they did.
When build day came, they arrived on time with all the material necessary. The crew that was onsite were great to work with and very professional. Cement bases were crowned nicely and any questions, concerns, or changes were addressed immediately.
I will use them again in the future — actually contacted them for another two sections one of my neighbors and I ‘thought’ were OK — and will review again when that job is completed.
Shout out to Derrick who said it correctly… Construction, one of the best Professional Unprofessional industries around. So true!

The owner didn’t follow up with me as he said, but Mike was nice enough to patch the complaints we made. It took a while to take care of things and three or more revisits by workers to solve the problems. This I appreciate. Nevertheless, we were satisfied with the customer service that Mike shown to us, but still unsatisfied of the fence. Even though they tried to fix the problems, a few of the pickets now have larger gaps in between due to different sizing and replacing, making it easier to see through and less privacy (see pic). I would feel bad again calling Mike to address this.

So I had the pleasure of reading all the reviews of this company to find that all the bad reviews to me where a bunch of maularky. First of all I do recall that we are all Humans still right and that this trade is of CONSTRUCTION and if anyone knows anything about it they know that it is full of surprises and issues that arise well after the job gets started. Heck you can find an issue as soon as it all starts. Someone once told me its the most Professional Unprofessional Business there can be.
That being said I got 3 quotes before I chose this company as anyone should, I can tell you they are not the cheapest nor the most expensive out there. But I did like the estimator and their ability to explain things to me and simply just take TIME with me and help me to better understand the process. Now I have alot of work to be done
and This hopefully will be the First of multiple reviews I give this company.
So here is the First experience as follows
Got the estimate from Mike and Sammy which by the way were cool and full of information that I liked. A week later I decided to call them as I felt most comfortable and I spoke with Dorothy to schedule the Job and she said they where a 2 weeks out.
2 WEEKS OUT dang man but I decided that I’m going to wait it out. Install date is here now and boy o boy these guys knocked it out and framed super fast, Some of the guys acted as if they didnt want to be bothered which doesnt upset me it at all. Quite frank it assured me they were focused on the job at hand. The job went as expected
And the fence looks great. Thanks Newark Fence Inc. Job Well Done and can’t wait to get started on the rest of the work going.

There was an Issue with some of the boards that I had in which I called Mike to the point that he insisted on coming to the site to better assist me. He also said that due to the fact of them being super busy that it could be a week or so before he could change them out. That was totally fine with me because I understand as a small company it is like you can drop everything and run.

We got two quotes for getting a portion of our fence replaced and a patio cover and Newark Fence gave us the better price. The entire process was super efficient and professional. It took them half a day to do the fence including a new gate. Then it took two days to do the patio cover. We were very happy with the work that they did. We were also happy that when the patio cover started to leak after heavy rains (due to settling of the house/​wood, not due to poor workmanship) they came back and resealed the patio cover. They were very professional and we would not hesitate to call them again for future work on our home.

I needed fence and a gate in my house, I called around and had Mike from Newark fence come give me an estimate. He was very professional, called me when he was on his way to my house, and was on time. He gave me an estimate which was in my budget, and I signed the contract. On the day of the installation, 3 men came and had information about the project. Within 2 days the fence and the gate were installed. I was not able to meet Mike to pay him when the work was finished, he told me that is not an issue. He came by on the following saturday and picked up his check. I have been dealing with many contractors over the past year and a half, I found Newark Fence to be one of the most professional and great to work with. I have already recommended them to few of my friends.

I hesitated on letting the public know, about this company, for pure selfish reasons. I didn’t want them to change. What a great company! Fair prices, good service, with a quality that exceeded my expectations. Please don’t change, I shopped around for a couple of years before, I found a company that would build what I needed, for the price I could afford. As a woman, I worked in construction briefly, so I had a working knowledge of what things, should cost. I was shocked at what crazy prices, I was getting. Until I looked on Unilocal,and found their review! Thank you Newark Fence!

First fence installed basically had not much issue with Mike; quality was good, but needed adjustment due to some complication. It was really hard to get them come back to pay them to fix things. They want to wait until the installation of 2^nd fence.
2^nd fence installation was cancelled 3 times due to different reasons, and every cancellation was 2 weeks wait. First excuse was no inspector. Second was wood material shipment was bad. Third excuse, believe it or not, was their contractor license is expired and they are no longer in business until license is reinstated. I just checked the ca license board and their license is still valid.
This showed their carelessness, unprofessionalism, and downright don’t want my business. Wish they could just tell me earlier so I could find another contractor who can do it. It was quite a roller-​coaster ride to wait for things to happen. I don’t want to do business with them anymore and definitely not recommend you to.

I found this place from Unilocal. Called and spoke to Sammy to put up a good size of fence for my building, made an appointment. He shows up on time and gave me a reasonable estimate, He is very easy to deal with, not nickel and dime, the estimate cost less than 2 other places that my tenant got the quote from.
The job was done professionally, the workmanship is great, the fence looks nice and neat. The only thing is the wheels of the gates, we requested for the double wheel per each gate, but they put in a single wheel. I called back and spoke to Sammy about the issue, he agreed to come out and get it taken care of.
I will use them again for future need. Great job!

These guys are good and fast, and they do it at a great price!
Mike came out to do the estimate for me. He’s armed with a laser tape measure and spends the time to make sure you understand how fences are built and what kind you want. He’s really knowledgeable and nice. On the day of the fence build, May 13, 2014, the Newark Fence team sent over Elmer, O’Tabio, and Benjamin. They are incredibly fast and super precise. I was having 80ft of fence replaced with 2 gates for my neighbor and I. Elmer and team were very nice helping out the stump remover that I had come in to grind away stumps that were on the fence line. The stump remover machine had caught some re-​bar and Elmer was nice enough to help him out. The Newark Fence team is great even though it was a blazing 95 °F outside! Only after my neighbor and I looked at the finished product did they end up asking for payment. There was no funny business, it was exactly as quoted, no add ons or anything.
Newark Fence makes getting a new fence easy. Their company is another reason I’m so proud to live in this area! I’m definitely going to recommend Newark Fence to everyone I know!

Newark Fence did an amazing job providing free estimates, discussing wood and finish options for the gates and fencing on a job recently completed at our home in south Fremont. Newark Fence exceeded our expectations!
Newark Fence put up 96 feet of fence which had blown down in recent rains, we also added two self closing gates to the side yard to sequester pool equipment and garbage/​recycling bins for aesthetic and safety reasons.
When called the company rep came out within 24 hours for a free estimate. He not only gave us a fair price on the fence, he suggested upgrades to the fence posts and cement footers that I knew were required to keep the fence from collapsing again and made those upgrades for almost the same price as other estimates for a more basic product. The changes to the cement footers and posts are excellent (we had already thought changes needed to be made), and we are really pleased with the result.
Newark Fence also works with sustainable redwood forests to get their wood, and understands the requirements of people who grow veggies to supplement their food. This is not something I expected to find. Sammy of Newark Fence did not charge me more than other companies, but he met my needs, could not be happier!
The two gates they installed are good looking and work very well. They are going to stain them in the coming week. Newark Fence worked with me to customize the gate design, inviting me to their showroom to look at wood types, hardware and different designs — and to answer any questions or concerns I might have before starting the job.
The crew who installed the fence and gates did so quickly and efficiently, showing up on time, cleaning up well after themselves, making changes quickly and easily when requested and working with us to protect the landscaping and satisfy not just us, but our neighbor’s requirements. They protected my landscaping, and even tacked up my grape vines before they left. Well done! The product and craftsmanship exceeded our expectations.
I made a planning mistake on the job, but Newark Fence fixed it for me without charging me. They could have charged me their standard price especially since it was my fault, but they didn’t, they honored the other agreement with the savings. Thank you!
All in all, a great experience, and the fence and gates look amazing. My landscape and contractors working on the house were really pleased with the result as well.

Newark Fence replace my old ratty fence. It was a large job and they got it done very quickly and it looks great. I highly recommend these folks.
