Nj Ez-Pass

For all of you that insist on being nasty about this place, just remember… a little pit of patience and kindness goes a long way. Everyone who works here has to deal with the entitled general public, so cut them some slack. The woman who was working by the application forms had a smile on her face and knew the answer to every single question I asked her about E-​Z Pass. The woman behind the counter was equally polite and knowledgeable. Sure, you’re going to have to wait on line and part with some money. Just be patient and nice. Is that really too much to ask?

The idea of EZ Pass… is for it to be easy. And when you have a functional device on your vehicle, and an account that is up to date with available balance for use, yet twice within definitely less than a 12-​month period, you receive a violation notice in the mail, and one of them that you called and resolved several weeks later receive a 2^nd notice anyway… it becomes less easy. And when you read that notice and it threatens a $ 50 administration fee as well as threatening to suspend your motor vehicle registration… over 50¢… not only does the rational individual wonder, «…how and why could that even be legal???», but even the most reasonable, non– litigious, balanced individual surely must wonder, «Doesn’t this scream for a class action lawsuit?» Then when on the phone, they ask if your car license plate is registered, and you ask, «Didn’t I have to do so to get EZ Pass in the first place?» and the response is, «But how are we supposed to know if you changed plates.» and you think, «Those are the plates that tracked me down for this bogus violation in the first place — same car, same plates, what is all this nonsense???»
I acknowledge that there will be mechanical errors, but the way their customers are harassed about them is unacceptable. EZ Pass, you work for me, not the other way around. If there’s a violation, you should damn well check your records and if you see the account is in good standing and has the available funds at that time, fix it yourself. One more hassle like this and I’m done, and the presented penalties if a 50¢ toll is unresolved are absolutely unacceptable and should be illegal, not legally enforced. Another shameful example of governmental crime against its people here in the «land of the free».

Wish I could give it a zero. Their website is always down. When it is up the login procedure is somewhat complicated. The portion where you can utilize just your tag # doesn’t state whether you use the full transponder # or just the numbers. When I finally reached customer service today in speaking with 2 representatives I was told 2 different things. One said you use just the #‘s and she also stated even after me answering 5 account questions she could not give me my acct # to use to login. The second representative gave me my account number to login but told me when using the tag number I had to use all the numbers and characters. 1 Rep knew the website was experiencing difficulties for 12 hours, the other Rep said she thought the website was fine. WHO’s ON FIRST HERE?
BTW, it takes at least 10 minutes to get to a human. After all of this is resolved I am cancelling and getting my ezpass out of Delaware.
