Nubian Flavor Restaurant

I will never attempt to eat at this restaurant again. I went in and ordered some breakfast food. As I’m ordering, I see a roach walking across the counter. I quickly say never mind and as I’m leaving I see 2 more roaches. Never in all my life have I been more disgusted than I’ve been seeing this. And this is a black owned business. I always support and back black owned businesses but when you aren’t up to par on keeping your establishment clean, bright and fresh instead of dark, dull and dingy, then to top it off you have roahces?!? I cannot in good faith or good conscience recommend to eat here.

I was really enjoying their food then all of a sudden they stopped trying so hard. The flies are a slight problem and they always mix up the order. They always mess up the order. I asked for cheese on my grits and no cheese on my eggs –they put the cheese on my eggs then give me naked grits. Aaargh!
The next time I ordered from them via delivery and all the food was in the bag… I guess that’s what they call Instant grits in a bag. Ahhh man!

Went today to grab a few breakfast sandwiches walked in and sat at the counter this place has a serious fly problem I was constantly swatting flies then got nervous that a fly was gonna land on the sandwiches that we’re being prepared after the guy walked away he came back in the nick of time. As he’s cutting sandwiches a roach walks across the counter right by the sandwiches I was done!!! This place is dirty all the trash cans were running over infested with flies I would guarantee roaches and rats. Obviously the health department doesn’t visit or they are paid off. This place needs to be shut down!!!’

The food is okay, but their delivery service is AWFUL.

I waited patiently for our food to arrive. … first of all the total was $ 41 (& some change) had to pay $ 3 delivery fee on top of that TIP
the food arrives and we noticed there isn’t any syrup in the bag for my «BANANA WALNUT» Pancakes so I call them and I wait for a hour!!!
I really don’t know why it doesn’t come with ANY condiments in the first place ESPECIALLY if I’m paying $ 41 for BREAKFAST
I also ordered salmon cake platter I expected at least 3 and it came with 2 and they were pretty small and A LOT of grits!
Bottom Line: WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN!

Very disappointing food and service from Nubian Flavor restaurant. Ordered through Grubhub, on which the restaurant offers delivery service. After placing an order (and paying a delivery fee) we received a call from Grubhub informing us that the restaurant does not deliver on Sundays as they are just, «too busy.» We decided to go and get the food ourselves.
On Grubhub, the restaurant lists that grits, hash browns and toast come with a breakfast platter, but when arrived I was informed that I had to choose between hash browns OR grits.
Once we arrived home and checked our bags we realized that we should have cancelled the order entirely. The food was prepared carelessly and parts of our order were left out.
There were hard, gritty pieces in the eggs over easy which I can only hope were eggshell and not something worse. I’d ordered the corned beef hash that comes with the dish well done — it was not. My hash browns were missing — never included with my order. The hash browns that my girlfriend received with her platter were bland and flavorless. Very disappointing.
We contacted Grubhub about the missing hash browns, and the ‘restaurant’ refused to make it right, insisting that they were already included in our order.
This is not our first time ordering from this establishment and we noticed a lack in consistency with food preparation and delivery time, but we wanted to support a local business and give them another chance. They blew it.
The kicker — we purchased drinks that we later discovered to be EXPIRED — as of APRIL of this year! Terrible!
Steer clear!
