Most of this review is just copied from the previous Triana bakery. From what I can tell this place is the same I think it is just a name change. All the same people behind the counter and the baked goods are still as fantastic. While the Ironbound section of Newark has plenty of bakeries from the busy ones on Ferry street to smaller ones located a bit off the main street. This is one of the off main street types. The food here is good and the pasties, bread, and breakfast sandwiches are excellent. The people cheerful and friendly and don’t mind if you cannot speak portuguese, I haven’t had a problem getting anything that I would like. The real draw is that it is off Ferry street and not so crowded, plus they have a number of tables outside. On a nice day you can enjoy an espresso, pastry and read the paper and not have the constant foot and automobile traffic on Ferry street. So weather permitting it is my go to Ironbound bakery.
