If you’re every considering getting a cat, be sure to stop by this place a few times first. Sometimes, they can be really busy so be patient. Everyone here that I’ve spoken with has been kind and knowledgable. If we’re ever in a place to adopt another cat, we would probably come here (not anytime soon because we have two dogs and one cat at home presently).
They have tons of kittens that are fixed and ready to go, so you’ll be getting a companion and not contributing to the plethora of homeless kittens being constantly born into the world. The community of volunteers and fosters are so great because without them, there wouldn’t be anyone socializing and housing these cats and kittens prior to adoptions. After having rescued my second dog, I’ve become one of those people who want to rescue pets. It’s not for everyone, but they do have adult cats and even cats with special needs.
So whether you’re looking for a kitten, an adult cat, or a cat who’s had it a bit harder in life, look no further than this rescue! I love both cats and dogs but cats are definitely more independent so don’t be too worried when you’re on vacation or traveling. Make sure you have someone stopping by to clean out their litter boxes, refilling water and feeding them regularly.

They always have cute cats up for adoption. A friend of mine adopted a cat from here and had no problems. If you like cats and want to adopt one, this is a good place to go to.

I adopted my fur baby from here almost 2 years ago and I couldn’t be happier. My Fiona (aka Stella Bella) is the most loving cat in the world. This place is amazing and I encourage anyone wanting to adopt a cat to come here. Can’t wait to get another one: D

I went to the cat rescue on a Saturday when they were at the mall. They had a large selection of kitties. After looking around I found a cat that was the cutest kitty ever! I only planned on getting one, but her brother was obviously super attached to her, so I got both of them. They’re wonderfully raised, very good with people, and great cats. (one is laying on my chest as I write this). Great people at the purrfect cat rescue who obviously love kitties. I’m so happy I decided to get the kitties from there, I look forward to coming home every day to them.

We would call her with all our kitty questions and concern. We adore Layla and we could not imagine our lives without her. Since we adopted our Ares he made our family come closer. Growing up only having dogs I couldn’t believe how awesome cats could be. His disposition is out of this world! He is so gentle and is such a love bug. Once I learned that my 5 year old son wanted a cat not a dog, I spoke to my husband and we both thought it was time we get a furry friend. I googled «cat adoption» and came across Purrfect Rescue; I looked at all the available cats and came across two that we were interested in. They put up wonderful descriptions about all the cats making your decision easier. I then submitted my application and immediately got a response from Jean. She told me the next time they would be showing the cats which then we decided to check them out (they are located at the New Park Mall, upstairs near Burlington Coat Factory). When we got there Jean helped us out right away and she was such a sweetheart. We told her our first interest was Bonsai (because he was older) but then found out he was already adopted. So she took us to our second choice Ares and we got a chance to meet him. Immediately he showed love and affection, a great sign! Jean actually fostered him when he was a kitten and then he got fostered into daycare where he was use to children. We made the decision to adopt him; not only has he been potty trained, but they make sure the cats are spayed, neutered and have all their shots. They even gave us extra food and toys :) I even got a follow up call from Jean checking to see how Ares had been adapting to his new home. I would definitely recommend adopting your new cat from them. All the cats there seemed loving and you can tell they have all been fostered properly.

Of the various organizations around the Tri-​City area (Furry Friends, Tri-​city Animal Shelter), I would definitely recommend going to Purrfect Cat Rescue if you’re looking to adopt a cat. Their hours are great for working parent families (late at night or on weekends), they have so many cats/​kittens to choose from and their volunteers seems so caring and informative. In comparison, Furry Friends had very few cats for us to look at and the shelter volunteers and policies seemed so unwelcoming that we dreaded going back to visit with the cats. They also won’t give you disapproving looks (or worse, consider you unfit to adopt) if you have indoor/​outdoor cats or plan to allow your new cat to go outdoors. The volunteers genuinely seem to care about getting their cats adopted out to loving families. And they even have an online adoption application so you can fill out the paperwork in the comfort of your home before going to the showcases. If you’re planning to adopt a cat, go here first and save yourself a lot of time.

I’ve adopted two of my kitties from here when they were kittens; «Turtle» now called Vyxi, and «Gizmo» now called Gatito.
So every weekend, I like to visit different shelters and rescue organization showcases around the bay area. I’m such a cat lady already and this is literally the only thing that makes me happy.
In comparison to Furry Friends Rescue for example, I’d rather go to Purrfect Cat. Purrfect Cat has some wonderful volunteers and foster parents. I’ve never felt ignored or any negativity there whatsoever. However, at Furry Friends, I always feel like the volunteers or fosters don’t want to talk to me. I ask questions about their cats and I get one-​word answers as they start up full-​fledged conversations with their friends. Isn’t the point to get the cats adopted???
But I digress. Purrfect Cat Rescue is my favorite rescue organization and both my cats are the most socialized I’ve had. Lovely people and lovely kitties!

THANK YOU!!! to the great people at this organization. we found a very sweet cat who was discarded on the street. we think she wasn’t always a stray b/​c she’s very friendly and healthy (fat). i asked other organizations for help but purrfect cat rescue was the only organization who offered real help and not just websites or links or tried passing us off to other people. they gave us great information and assistance in getting our kitty checked out and vaccinated. thank you for the helping us add a new addition to our family.

These people helped my mom and i out by bringing us a trap for a stray that was hanging out around the house. Unfortunately this stray had already been fixed and we didnt know it so she was opened up for nothing but it eased out minds to know she was well taken care of and they brought her back to us with her ear clipped (we requested this so she wouldnt be mistaken as an unfixed stray again) very compassionate and helpful people!

I will highly recommend adopting cats from them. People there are nice, professional and all kittens are trained very well, at least my merlin. :) He already knew how to use kitty litter when we adopted him — 9 wks old and also only scratches on scratch post or carpet, not on our furniture or sofa. He is now 8 months old, and he plays fetches! We should really thank purrfect cat rescue for giving us such an adorable boy.

These are the best people to get your cat/​kitten from. They are experts and can suggest the best kitten/​cat for your home. If you are adopting, I strongly suggest to keep 2 cats/​kittens because they groom and play with each other quite a bit. My life has changed so much for the better since I have adopted my 2 kittens Saturn and Puckers! Thank you so much Purrfect Cat Rescue! Thank you Rose Morales for suggesting that I adopt Saturn! And yes Puckers is really a «plug and play» kitten!

I got two kittens from Purrfect Cat rescue for my 5 and 3 year old daughters. I was dealing with Jean and she is amazing. She helped me select the best match for my kids and our entire family. The kittens we got have been so gentle and great with the kids and have become part of the family. they even won my husband over :) One of the kittens got really sick with in two weeks and I did not know what to do, but Jean guided me through the process and made it so easy. It would have been difficult for us to keep the kittens if we needed to pay for the bills just in the first two weeks but Purrfect Cat stepped in and paid for all the medical bills. They even had the kitten admitted in a Los Altos clinic because their own vet did not handle such cases. Jean called and asked me how the kitten was doing and has been guiding me since then. I would reccomend every one to use Purrfect Cat rescue when they are ready to adopt a kitten. Big thanks to Jean. Please adopt from her if you can, she is amazing.

Our experience with Purrfect Cat Rescue was great. We adopted two kittens in December. We had a previous bad experience fostering kittens (pre-​adoption) who got sick, and then we were expected to care for them without any help. I felt much more comfortable with Purrfect Cat rescue. If your newly adopted cat gets sick in the first 30 days, they will send you to their vet and pay the vet bill. They also offer to care for the sick kitten themselves and give it back to you when it is better. In the end it hardly mattered because the kittens we adopted from Purrfect Cat Rescue were healthy except for a very minor case of ringworm which went away after a topical cream (which Purrfect Cat Rescue paid for — thanks!).
The people here are very nice as well. Easy to talk to, and you can tell all they want is to get their cats into loving homes. The adoption process was easy too, not too many hoops to jump through.

i got my little kitty hunter from here and they were great. my kitty had a bit of an eye infection when i got him and his foster mom offered to take care of him until he got better. i wanted to do it myself though so she gave me his medicine and his vets phone number. they pay for all vet bills for the first 30 days you have your cat, so even though mine had an infection, it didn’t cost me anything. and the vet they recommended was awesome. once my roommate and i split ways my kitty will be an only cat, i definitely plan on getting his new playmate from here.

Purrfect Cat Rescue is a non profit corporation dedicated to the rescue of stray and abandoned cats in the Tri-​City area of California. They operate solely on donations and adoption fees and are staffed by volunteers who foster cats in their homes until they are adopted out.
It’s a fantastic organization filled with volunteers who really go the extra mile, fostering at times 10+ kittens! They are a mobile adoption fair that operates primarily in the East Bay by visiting large Pet Stores. Check the calendar via the Purrfect website (
