Horrible service. Staff who are either incompetent or are liars. You be the judge. One night, we bought a gas range to be picked up the next day. When we got there, the manual and the bag with all of the other necessary parts was missing. The store employee wouldn’t give it to us and wouldn’t offer us another one, even though it was there the night before. Where did it go? Did the staff remove it? or did another customer? It’s clear that it couldn’t have moved on its own.
Next, he insisted that the unit was fine anyways and that we could download the manual and that the burners would definitely be ok to use with natural gas. Again, we asked just to make sure that he was sure he was right, and cockily he answered that for sure that the unit was configured for natural gas.
Turns out that it wasn’t, and the items used to convert it from propane to natural gas were not included in the bag. So this employee was either incompetent and can’t tell when a range is configured for natural gas vs propane, or he was a liar and made it up just to make his life easier, or he was lazy and didn’t check in the first place. You be the judge. My guess is he’s all three, and most of the employees here are similar.
Anyways, beware of what you’re getting into, so you don’t get screwed over like we did.

We bought our washer and will likely buy our dryer (provided they get 1 in soon) from Ben, who was just awesome. For a young college kid, he is knowledgeable and friendly. He gave great advice and had a lot of excellent pointers that we hadn’t even thought of (this being our first washer/​dryer purchase ever). The kitchen reno is in our 5-​year-​plan, and we will definitely be getting those appliances from Ben as well! They’re holding our washer for us until a dryer comes in (up to 2 weeks) AND I got a 5% discount for using my Sears card. Did I mention the cost of the washer and dryer are half of what we’d pay retail? I love it!

I had the worst customer service experience of my life buying an appliance (French door fridge) from this store.
Buying Experience:
I ordered a French door fridge from the Sears outlet website. It was listed at a significantly reduced price and the condition stated that there was small dent on the side only. That was no big deal for me. When the item arrived, the delivery guys asked me to inspect it outside before they brought it in. What I saw was that, in addition to a «small dent on the side», the fridge also has significant additional damage: multiple dents and deep scratches on the front! I refused delivery of the item and called Sears outlet services (not the store) to report this issue. They were very apologetic and told me that I will be issued a full refund (including shipping) as soon as the appliance is back at the store.
Service Experience:
After two weeks, I didn’t see the refund in my credit card. So I called Sears outlet services again to get a status update. They assured me that I will be refunded soon. Then, I get an email that this is a «store fulfillment» and that I should contact the store directly?! WTF!!! This is the summary of my calls to the store: called 5 times in total over two weeks — put on hold indefinitely thrice and told twice that I will get a call back from the manager Barbara… which never happened! I had enough by this point. I emailed Sears outlet services detailing my experience and that I am going to dispute the charge on my credit card.
The charges on card have been removed and I will have to fight this matter through this route. Dealing with these irresponsible clowns has been very stressful and frustrating and I will never by buying anything from Sears outlet… ever!!!

I just had a great experience purchasing a warranty for a recent washer and dryer that we bought from this location. Although it was not his sale, Ben Whiteside from this location was very helpful in helping me complete this while giving credit to the person who we originally bought it from. Very honest, great customer service from this gentleman. I will ask for him during our next purchase. Thanks Ben!

I use this place often for the residential programs I manage. I usually have a good experience with the sales persons. I find them friendly and somewhat knowledgeable about the products. Caution!!! If you choose delivery, MAKE sure you understand that the delivery persons are not Sears employees. I often find them difficult to work with. They will only do the MINIMUM ‘installation’, based on what’s on their manifest. I would strongly recommend you be sure what assistance you might need regarding installation support BEFORE they get to your house, so you don’t have a problem.

I originally thought wow what a great store. That changed within 24 hours. The people in the store do not care. I purchased a $ 1700 stove + 5 year warranty also the $ 350 microwave with 5 year warranty. These items were discounted 50 percent but I expect them to work. Installed microwave unit was completely dead. Now I must wait another two weeks for the parts to come in and be installed. Also on my stove there is a scratch that I believe was hidden by the salesperson by placing this sold sticker on top of it.

TOTALLY DISSATISFIED with this store. Especially the General Manager, who thought it was necessary & beneficial to try and make me feel bad about buying an «inexpensive» washer and dryer for a rental unit and then repeatedly argue with me. Even the salesman was looking at him like «Really, dude?» Great customer service (please read the sarcasm between my fonts). In addition to their prices bring NO WHERE CLOSE TO OUTLET PRICES, their warranty (which they felt the need to correct me about being called «added coverage») being ridiculously high and their EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I would NEVER buy a thing from them. *The GM was really an unnecessary a**. Perhaps he can purchase some «added coverage» for his rude behavior and poor customer service skills. What a way to lead your team and show by example. TERRIBLE, SIMPLY TERRIBLE. I’m heading to Lowes!

The fridge was fine, but someone behind the counter stole my credit card information and used it widely.
How do I know: I used a backup card unused for about one year and not used after the visit to sears. Further, the purchases where in the metro area.
Sears, when contacted, hung up on me. Law enforcement was not interested. The card company did the right thing.

My wife and I were looking to buy our first appliance for our new home and we decided to stop into the Sears outlet near the Christiana Mall. On our first visit, on or around September 29^th, we were met by a salesman named Shaikh who was extremely helpful and informative. My wife fell in love with a refrigerator and we knew that’s the one we wanted, and based on the sales available to us we were willing to buy all major appliances at this location for next day, or 2 day delivery. Shaikh did not promise this to us, but said it was the most likely outcome based on his recent sales. Unfortunately, we were not able to purchase the equipment that day due to imminent house closing.
On September 30^th we returned to this location with exactly which appliances we wanted, and an expectation of delivery within the next 2 – 3 days. There was only one employee working and he was helping other members when we walked in. So we waited the better part of an hour just to be seen by a sales associate. Once we did see the sales associate, Bob, we were told that we could have the appliances delivered by next friday, the 11^th of October. This was longer than we expected, but my wife and I agreed that this was an acceptable delivery date. The sales representitive then informed us that to get the 15% off of the order I would have to sign up for a credit card. I obliged, signed up and was given a card almost immediately. During the review, I caught that the sales associate had actually ordered an electric dryer vice the gas dryer that I had requested. After the entire order was complete, during the final review the sales associate informed us that the delivery date would in fact now be the 18^th of October adding a whole week to the delivery time.
At this point, I was tired, thirsty, frustrated at multiple errors made by the sales associate and requested that my entire order be cancelled. Later in the evening, I got a phone call from the sales associate informing us that he would give us a «loaner» refrigerator and deliver all other items on a shorter time line and then when the refrigerator came in Sears would come take the «loaner» and install our new one free of charge. This was an insult at this point, there was no open and honest communication throughout the process. Had either of the sales associates been honest with us regarding the delivery time frame **PRIOR TO ISSUING A CREDIT CARD AND SELLING ME APPLIANCES** I would not have ordered a single thing from this location. I have since purchased all said equipment for a similar price, without gimmicks or new credit applications with a much closer delivery date.
In summary, if you are willing to wait, deal with gimmicks, and order your appliances from sales associates who don’t have the time (ability?) to complete a sale accurately and efficiently than feel free to shop here. If not, I reccommend ordering your equipment online or from a store that values their customers.

I ordered a dryer from the Sears Outlet on a Wednesday night. I spoke to a salesman who said it was available. It was supposed to be delivered Friday, it wasn’t. I didn’t find our that I wasn’t going to get it until the shipping company called me. The store didn’t call me back when they said they would. Overall a bad experience.
