This my goto place to workout and play ball. Their basketball courts are almost always dusty but if you wipe your shoes, it should be fine. The place they are most known though, is their aquatic center. It’s a decent sized indoor pool with a jacuzzi and a lazy river. Good for families. They also have a teen center which has activities such as pool, air hockey, PS3, etc. Their lifting/​cardio room is quite small but big enough to feature various machines. Has daily drop-​in for $ 7 but reservations are quite often. Memberships are reasonable for only $ 111 for a year (resident). I highly recommend this facility.

The place is dirty. I’m talking about showers, dressing rooms and restrooms.
The slides that you see in a picture are broken and will be fixed in 8!!! weeks. Entire winter!!!
There is no place to swim.
Maybe it’s good for very small kids (there is one slide in separate pool and water just gets to adult’s knees)
It was quit fun for our child (there are 2 attractions inside a pool), but I won’t go there next time.

Great place to bring the kids and set them free. Sat by the pool and took a nap while they ran around and swam. 12 year old was bit bored though. 10 year old had a blast.

We purchased a family pass on groupon (never been disappointed). We live an hour away from this indoor water park, but it is the closest one to us… and my family absolutely love water parks! So I went online a few times to check the place out starting weeks before we came to just a few days… the website isn’t the easiest to navigate but it works. So I thought it would be best to call & talk to a person?! I asked the woman who answered the phone if the indoor water park was going to be open the following day? She replied yes & answered a couple other questions.
We showed up the following day only to see caution tape surrounding the main part of an indoor water park… which was the lazy river & slides. An employee approached us shortly after we walked in to tell us why it was broken & asked if we knew? I told her we saw the caution tape… she then told us it has been posted on their website for a week or so?! I then told her I called the day before & spoke to someone and that she did not inform me… the employee then said that it is on their recording & walked away?! I was very disappointed in both the woman I talked to on the phone the day before for not telling me half their facility was down & the woman who approached us like it was our fault for not looking at their website… which I did many times?! I didn’t want to argue or continue with the conversation?! Felt it wasn’t worth it!
I would have totally waited to come out another weekend when everything was up & running had I known, but we drove an hour with our 4 excited children and 2 other family members! Not only that… it was also a surprise for my husbands birthday! He never gets to enjoy anything like this on his birthday due to it being in January & all. He, the kids & his brothers made the best of it! We were planning on staying until it closed, but think we may cut it a little short due to the bigger kids being limited on what they can do!

Really cool place for kids! They just run around and around all day! The life guards are very attentive and will make sure your kids are safe. There’s a lot of chlorine in the water so be prepared for your eyes to burn like fire! Just be careful not to slip the tile is very slick! Went on the water slides over and over again! Felt like a kid again! Have them buzz you into the family changing rooms they are perfect for families. Will take my niece back here!

I love this place a lot. My son always has a blast here. Staff is friendly, it just tends to get a bit crowded though so make sure to arrive early!

Man I’m so jealous of Newark residents. I wish San Francisco can have a indoor water park like this that is built by our city government! It is really packed during weekends (and I really mean… super super crowded) so if you don’t like crowded indoor swimming pool and a bit «not-​so-​good» water quality (due to the crowd) then you probably won’t enjoy this place. But I know kids loves it as they don’t really care about the water quality, etc. Anyway, again, Mayor Lee (of San Francisco), when can we have a heated all-​season indoor water park like this in San Francisco so that we don’t have to travel all the way to Newark just to use their aquatic center??? :)

An indoor water park?! Where have you been all my life? I think the citizens of Newark and Fremont have been keeping this place a secret from the rest of us. Tisk, tisk.
Kids love this aquatic center because it’s super fun (duh). Parents love it because we don’t have to slather sunscreen on unwilling children.
If you love diversity and people watching then you’ll adore Silliman. I’m talking huge white guy in a Speedo standing next to a lady in a burka. Kicking myself for not getting a picture of that.
Make sure to get in line early so you can snag a much-​coveted lounge chair!

Right now is the best time to came here in have fun because everyone come back to school, and you have the pool for yourself

This indoor swimming facility is great for my kids learn to swim. I wish Union City has something like this. The facility is clean and the water is warm for swimming. Recommend kids take early classes avoid the crowd.

I have been coming here with my 2 kids for a few years. This place is fun but definitely crowded. If you want to go on a busy weekend, I suggest you come with LOTS of patience or you come later in the day like 4 pm when people are starting to leave.
Pros:
1. Inexpensive
2. You can take a shower afterwards
3. Lots of lifeguards
4. There are places to sit though not too much, it’s people who put their stuff onto the chairs and not using them that’s annoying
5. You can stay as long as your wish
6. It is indoors, no need sunscreen
7. You can bring your own food
Cons:
1. The toilet/​bathroom area can be very nasty as times, and can be slippery so be careful
2. They charge even if you don’t swim, but you can also stay outside of the swimming pool area and you will not have to pay. However, as mentioned the price is inexpensive
3. Lines can be long, I usually go 15 mins early before start time to line up

I came here with my family since my family enjoyed their experience the first time. There was a line out the door when I arrived! Everyone eager to go inside. Once inside, there are plenty of lifeguards around & a lot of workers here to regulate the flow.
There is a kids area, a «lazy river», 2 «big kid» slides, a pool area & a jacuzzi. The kids area my niece & nephew definitely enjoyed & had a lot of fun on the slides. The lazy river just goes around the big kid slides & not enough tubes to go around. It’s interactive though! You have to watch out for the buckets on top either wise it will dump on you! The big kid slide was an open water slide & a tube water slide. The open water slide is what I went on & it was a smooth sailing ride! The pool area & jacuzzi are typical.
The changing area was clean & complete with shower, toilet, sink, baby changing area. It was pretty spacious.
For most, It’s an ultimate Aqua fun adventure! However, my experience wasn’t as great as my family’s first time. The place was pretty crowded. Kept bumping into everyone! Every area was filled with a lot of people so every move you make, you gotta be aware of your surroundings because you’ll bump into someone. It felt like everyone was within 2 – 3 ft of each other. The lazy river didn’t have enough tubes to go around so if you don’t go in the beginning, you’ll miss out on the tubes & have to walk (if you choose). I was fortunate enough to get a tube in the beginning but when I left & came back, I was walking! While walking, you can totally feel the vents in the lazy river. There’s a lot of vents too, so be careful! The pool area had sand at the bottom… Which is weird since it’s an indoor pool. The thing that bothered me the most was the overwhelming smell of chlorine! I understand that it’s a closed space, but it was overwhelming for me. Indoor pools probably aren’t for me after this experience.

My son and I have been going here for several years, probably a couple dozen times. Usually we visited during the off-​season — that is when the weather is not conducive to going outside. Of course you would think that is when the center would be MORE popular, but I digress. So during these times, 4 – 5 stars easy. It is not too crowded. very well-​managed and the lifeguards are all over it — super fun for my son 3 – 6 year old.
HOWEVER, we went this last July 4^th weekend (Sunday, but yeah I’m an idiot) and holy cr*p. It was absolute MADNESS, like the scene in Caddyshack before the Baby Ruth shows up. Of course tt was way too crowded, and it took a half-​hour just to get into the locker room. There’s NO way we were within the capacity of the facility. Kids got away with whatever and wearing whatever. Crazy jumping in and out of the lazy river? Sure. Wearing t-​shirts and cutoff jeans shorts? Why not. Mobs of 6+ people wandered around and gumming up the whole place. So I give it maybe 2 stars when it is massively crowded like this.
So average it out to 3 stars but let me warn you: go to the website to track special events and do NOT go when everyone else goes.

Bought a Living Social deal after I have been wanting to take my son here forever! I really wanted to like this place but I wont be returning unless my sons invited here for a birthday party. It was open today from 5pm — 8pm. We arrived about 4:55pm and there was a line already outside the building. Theres tons of parking but fills up quick. Where you enter there is two lines. Left line is for pass holders and Living Social and Groupon vouchers. Right line is for drop ins. There is a small snack counter to the left that sells hot dogs and pizza at an ok price if you dont want to leave the establishment. Theres two party rooms to the right that is connected to the water center. The employees here are young and they are respectful and nice. Center is kept pretty clean and the bathrooms/​showers are pretty kept up also. Theres actually a lot of showers and lockers. Just remember to bring a lock or you can borrow one for $ 2 or $ 3 dollars. Theres a couple things I just didnt like about the Aquatic Center. First is since its inside its stuffy and humid and all you smell is chlorine. The water temperature is different in all areas. Pool was cold, lazy river was too warm, Kiddie/​Toddler area was decent but I thought it was a little cold for little ones especially for my 22 month old son who was shivering even though I had him in a bodysuit. The water is murky and I am not sure why. There are a lot of lifeguards around so I do feel safe so there are more people monitoring the kids. I also thought it was too packed and I think there should be a capacity limit. There was an employee in the front with a clicker for capacity but I hope its up to fire code. I just felt it was way too pack to enjoy the place. Overall give it a try with a Living Social or Groupon deal but I wouldn’t pay full price.

Came here yesterday with the fam and friends for some water fun without being in the hot sun. I was very much looking forward to this but the experience was a major disappointment and never again… this place warrants such a poor rating for the following reasons:
–too freaking loud! This is an enclosed space so factor in hundreds of screaming people and you get the idea.
— plus the very strong pungent smell of chlorine made it a recipe for big headache. Literally.
–the people there were rude and uncaring. They bump into you, encroach into your personal space, and literally can kick you in the face (came close to this several times). The parents just let their kids run wild here.
–they charge a $ 3 diaper fee even if you brought your own? My friend brought one for her son but still was charge this. Just another way to get your money.
–the end less river is lame and overcrowded like the rest of the place. Not enough tubes and the whole thing is just too short to be called an endless river. It’s really a small circle of water.
I was there for about 2 hours and couldn’t wait to leave. I stuck around only to try to get my money’s worth but that was just punishing myself. When we finally decided to leave I asked the lady at the desk to see if she can give me a plastic bag for our wet swim suits and she said no in a curt tone like she was annoyed I asked such a question.
One star for the fact they accept credit cards for payment.

This place is great.
Come here on Sunday mornings to play basketball. There are 2 indoor regulation basketball courts here that are very nice. The floor is clean, grippy, and the rims are in good shape (single rimmed). The front desk is very friendly. The competition is at a good level and friendly. Call your own fouls. They play to 16 switch at 8 (1s and 2s). The three point line is the high school three point line.
There is also a huge water park at this place that I have yet to try lol.

This pool is killer! We came here with our two kids, aged 1.5 and 4.5. They loved the slides, lazy river, the water spray wheels, and the climbing structure. Given that it’s almost like a mini-​indoor water park, I thought the prices were very reasonable ($ 9 for adults, $ 7 for kids, $ 3 under 2). The family changing room (with shower) was also really useful, and it was not crowded so we did not have to wait to use it. You need to bring your own lock for the lockers.
The major downside for me was that the water felt too cold. It’s heated to 83 degrees, but if you stay in too long that feels quite chilly! But it’s the same in many indoor heated pools (like the OFJCC, for example). Our kids turned blue but had a blast anyway!

We came here with our 2 boys aged 2 and 4 because it is one of the very few swimming/​indoor water facilities in the area other than swimming lessons and lap swim.
The place would be perfect if it were warmer! Both the water and air temperature are too cold. Our two year old started shivering after less than half an hour. Our children would have been playing in and out of the water for the whole afternoon like they did in the waterparks we went to in summer.
So we left after less than 2 hours because it just wasn’t fun and neither the spa pool nor a hot shower helps if the air is cold too. That might be ok for lap swimming but not for little children. Outside it’s definitely warmer! If not for the temperature we would surely have become regulars here. So we have to continue our search for a good water play and swim location in the Bay Area :(
