The Beverage Source

You cannot beat the beer selection. That’s for sure. I love the small town feel and it’s always one of the first places suggested to go to on a Friday night. However; this place is very dirty and in very, very bad need of updating. Furniture is ripped and floors are sticky with layers of dust on the windows. I go because it’s close and cheap, but I definitely only order beer in bottles. I would not recommend drinking out of their glasses. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with the smell. I go for the beer, but I really hope they clean and do some updating soon.

While in town for a conference I checked out some options for a brew. This is clearly the source for craft beer, either to buy and take home or enjoy a glass on premises, even with a few tables outside. While I wasn’t able to stay to have something on tap, there were plenty of people there after 5pm on a Monday.
With at least four doors of cooler space dedicated to craft beer, the floor was divided up between beer and wine. Specifically on selection, you can be sure to find options from around Ohio and brands with more national distribution. I saw a variety of Mad Tree (Columbus) cans, a few 750 mL bottles from Rockmill Brewery (Lancaster) and since it was summer I got a six-​pack of Revolution’s (Chicago) rosa hibiscus ale.
The Beverage Source doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the convenient location off highway 16 makes this an obvious option if you are in the area, be it for a night or simply passing through.

Great selections of beers and friendly service. I personally love that they carry a large selection of Left Handed Brewing Company brews. Milk Stout is my favorite!

Excellent place to stop! Liquor Store and Bar. Choose what you want from the store and they’ll serve you it in the Bar. Great beer and wine selection.

Joel at the Beverage Source was so accommodating to my requests and went out of his way to make my experience with this store great! Excellent customer service and had exactly what I needed.

Great beer section! They will even chill your beer for you if you buy somthing on the store side and want to drink it at the bar.

We stop in every time we’re in town. There’s an incredible selection of beer and wine, all of which has been carefully selected. The staff is well-​versed, friendly and helpful. We’ve left every time with great Rhone reds (a favorite).
There’s a bar attached to the shop which always seems to be hoppin’.

Beer! The selection is FAR above anything else in Newark.
