This is my neighborhood HD and I have been very satisfied by their customer service every time. When I did home remodeling last year, I made a lot of visits to here and the associates patiently answered all my questions, gave me pointers & helped me to pick the right things.
What made me write this review is the outstanding customer service I received 2 days back. I went there to buy the artificial grass for my backyard. A girl named Ashley helped me to choose the right one with correct measurements. It was not an easy task to get that heavy bundle on to the roller & cut it but she did it herself with so much enthusiasm, without complaining. What impressed me most is her right attitude. After she got it on the roller for cutting, i ended up not buying it on the first day because of my uncertainty in measurement. But Ashley did not get mad at me and said its okay. When I went back next day, she recognized me from far, came with me, again did the same steps to cut it for me. She went above & beyond her duty to roll it in a special way so that it will fit in my car. 10 stars for her. Associates like her makes you go back to the same store, over & over! Thank you Ashley & all my helpers!

This location does not even deserve one star! My mom has been working on a remodel of our house for months and we went to Home Depot for all of our needs… BAD CHOICE. About 5 or so years ago I went to this location to order a basic door for our bathroom, I paid an extra $ 75.00 to have the door custom, measured where the hinges should be, and yet it came to me with incorrect hing placement. we fixed it ourselves and I let it go. This should have been a forewarning of how bad the employees and management are here. Here are the list of managers my mom has had to go through with no avail. Makiba (Store manager), Grace (assistant manager), Christal (operations manager), «G» (Manager), Chris, and Mike (some other form of management). My mom purchased thousands of dollars worth of material from this store… the main item that came broken is our front double doors (3K). We ordered two doors of wood with completely obscure glass in the center of both doors. First of all we placed our order on 4÷18÷2016, and were told the doors would be in on 5÷24÷16. So on 5÷23÷16 my mother called Home Depot to ask if the doors were in, she was told that «no, the doors are supposed to come in on 5÷26» which is complete BS because I was there with her when we ordered the doors and it was promised ⁵⁄₂₄. So my mom canceled her trip to see her grandchildren (she believed Home Depots lie and was hoping that things would be done with the house, and planned a much deserved vacation). My mom called again on ⁵⁄₂₅ and the rep that answered let us know that the doors are there they are just unable to find them. ⁵⁄₂₆ our contractors went to Home Depot to pick up the doors which were all wrapped up in cardboard (I saw the doors wrapped in cardboard myself in our garage). Contractors take out our front doors, and opened the new ones. come to find out THEY ARE BROKEN. We took the doors back on ⁵⁄₂₇ talked to Grace and Crystal, they took pictures to send it back to the vendor and since we did not have a door we asked if the door was going to be sent back. They said no they would not be sent back and its ok to install them temporarily, since our old doors were taken down in demolition. If you have ever had to do construction on your home you would understand, it is stressful! One of the windows was not «obscure» the other was supposed to be but had a huge crack on it and fell apart and the other side of the door also has a huge dent around the glass, there were no holes drilled in for the locks. We have been told that «our contractor is supposed to drill the hole» after the fact of course!!! Makiba came to our house to take pictures and is completely giving my mom the run around. I would like her to understand HOW WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR FAMILY TO LIVE IN A HOME WITH UNSECURED DOORS??? WOULD YOU SLEEP SOUNDLY AT NIGHT??? ITS BEEN A MONTH AND NO NEW DOORS! I would think that customer service would be cared for at this institution, but that is not the case. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. Let me also add that we custom ordered a 3 door closet, came with two rails… after the fact we were told that a triple rail would have to be custom ordered!!! WHERE IS YOUR CUSTOMER CARE I ASK YOU??? WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR OWN FAMILY TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS? TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!!!

Customer service in this store is zero. Every time I go there I say I will not go again — this time I think it will stick. Sent message to customer care regarding my last visit and did not hear squat. Shows how much they value their customers. I will patronize Lowe’s where I heard back from Manager within hours after sending a request.

I use this HD simply because it’s closest to my home — and I make a lot of trips here :-). For the past 7 years, they’ve had almost everything I’ve needed — and I’ve never had a problem getting help, returning items, or finding the odd widget I needed. Over the years they’ve had a few sour apples (employees) — but management seems to do a solid job of weeding them out — so they don’t last long.
They are one of the smaller HDs — but they have what I need (mostly) and the staff helps get you in and out quickly. Not much more you can ask for from a hardware store than that.

Just wanted to share my good experience of Nya in the Online Services department. Since Friday is my Home Depot day and I had placed an online order of mulch, I wanted to call in to make sure my order was ready for pickup and it was the correct color, brown. (Earlier in the week I was told that only red was left and I would have to wait for brown later in the week.) Nya picked up the call and she was very pleasant. She told me the order was ready and she even went over to double check to make sure the mulch was brown.
Then half and hour later I arrived at the store at Online Services and Nya walks me over to the online orders area (which is essentially on the other side of building) to help me put mulch on my cart. At that point, we walk back over to Online Services to get my receipt and I’m out the door. This took a total of maybe 5 minutes! I have to thank Nya for her speed and service for this order!

I ordered online for in-​store pick up. Order was not ready for more than 3 hours. I chat with customer support and they said store is pulling my order from shelf. I went to the store for pick up and customer representative at the store told me my order will be ready next day. Ridiculous service. I had to go and pick up order myself.

I wouldn’t give them any stars… Waited 45 mins for someone to get sheet rock down because it was too high… Got the run around from 9 different people and I got their names and no one knows what’s going on… LOWES IS WAY BETTER! And they know their stuff. Not having a bad day their attitude has been consistent. I live 1 mile away and would rather drive to Lowes for a better experience. It starts with management who hire these people

I have never seen a warehouse store in such bad shape. I came in Sunday morning at 8 am to get a couple items to finish a job and I couldn’t get to what I needed because the isles were blocked with product on carts. This is the messiest Home Depot I’ve ever been too.

Joe in Building Materials was tremendously helpful. He took extra care in getting us what we needed. He had to rope off the aisle and use a forklift to get our product down. He was very diligent and speedy, all while being safe. However, while at the store, I saw a customer attempt to ask another employee for help. The employee (I think named Mike, long hair, older, unkempt) just threw his hand up in the air and kept walking passed the customer as if the customer was bothering him. I was offended by how he treated that customer. It makes me appreciative that Joe was the one we got to help us. Their customer service was on two totally different sides of the customer service spectrum.

So I had to call the store manager and then make a second trip back to get basic customer service. I would avoid this location.

Terrible terrible service! Employees just standing around. Waited 30mins and still no one came after my dad asked several times for a staff to come assist us.

I don’t get how you can employ people that don’t know how to do there jobs. I called this place asking if they sell scales, the lady on the phone said no. So I thought, ok I’ll try somewhere else.
But I go to check there website online and see they sell a range of scales. Way to get customers idiot.

First, Ayanna is fantastic! She is going to do great things in life and I’m sure it won’t be Home Depot, unless she changes them around … B/​C this place has horrible customer service. Myself along with 5 people minimum needed assistance in lumber. No help. They called at least 5x’s and that’s when I asked for a manager.
The manager ‘G’ or ‘LG’ was the same person that saw me waiting for help. He said he was helping someone, but I was watching everyone… He did nothing! During my wait, Ayanna tried to help me, she called managers, she looked up options.
But she couldn’t solve it. Not her fault.
This is exactly why I go to DALE’S. You pay a little extra, but you get help, knowledge, directions, etc.

Purchased a $ 270.00 dollar carpet cleaner on line for in store pickup, the worst customer service ever, the person working that counter needs to be fired, she walked off for a half hour, leaving us to wait just too pick the prepaid item up, they can care less about you once they have your money, vote with your dollar spend it else where…
We finally had to threaten to return the item before we even had it in our possession to get someone to just hand it to us, totally ridiculous.

I did not find the programmable light bulb on the shelf that had been displayed in the website. The associate arranging the shelf didn’t give a rat’s posterior about telling me anything.
Next I looked around town for CR1632 battery cells since I figure the key on the Toyota will run out of battery soon. The Ice House Home Depot did not have any on the shelf, but this one did apparently have the stated quantity on its shelf. The price, however, is elevated: $ 4.98 for one little button cell battery.
So now I was intrigued by ads which flashed on my computer and I ordered a 5-​pack of Renata CR1632 batteries for the same price as for only two plus one penny. Since I found the traffic difficult unless I was simply stopping off en route through Newark on Thornton, I ordered it for free shipment to the other «Ice House» Home Depot.
The Home Depot website appears to have very attractive features!
Secondly, I went in looking for a gate latch which will be used for additional locking on a garage door. It found the correct section easily, but all but one of the packages had been opened by package robbers. There were big packages of another item blocking my view of the item. In order to ascertain the match between the shelf signs and the packages, I had to decipher both product codes and UPC code written in very small type on the shelf sign. Anyhow, I did buy the one complete – unopened plastic envelope – of a gate latch with associated hardware. I had to use a Visa card, although I know that others are getting some sort of 5% discount.
The condition of the shelf merchandise in hardware helped me to understand why in my earlier visit the associate in light bulbs had been exclusively focused on arranging the shelf to the exclusion of answering my desire to obtain a programmable light bulb.
At this particular store, it was quite difficult to exit the parking lot and to head in an easterly direction toward Fremont. I ended up using a difficult maneuver to go out onto Thornton and then to turn left into southbound Cherry Street. As it was, that left me in the wrong lane to further turn left into eastbound Central Avenue. Not an easy Home Depot to get in and out of.

Wow, I’m utterly appalled at what just happened. I called Home Depot with a question and after being transferred 3 times and being on hold for 10 minutes, I hear someone pick up and hang up right away!!!
How is this any way to treat a customer? What a waste of time and it’s really rude.
I was being transffered to Hardware around 11:20 AM on Wednesday, August 26, 2015.

Had to return a BBQ which I received from my Parents for Christmas (don’t ask…) any ways I had never opened the box, I already have a great Weber «Q» BBQ (again, like I said, don’t ask…)
So I finally decided that the new gifted BBQ was taking up too much garage space and it was time to get it back to Home Depot so someone else would be able to purchase it, and enjoy it for the remainder of the Summer.
My wife and I took it to our nearby HD in Newark, California…
Honestly the «hardest» part of the return was walking across the parking lot to find a «flat» cart to put the BBQ’s box on to. But, that was really my fault, as I wanted to park far out in the shade.
We took it inside to the returns counter, told the friendly lady that I received it as a gift, didn’t have a use for it, and wanted to get a store credit.
«No problem» and within a minute or two, I had my store credit issued on to a gift card, she even used a Sharpie to write the amount on the back of the card, which I really appreciated!
It was really that easy, we were actually stunned!!! Thanks for the EXCELLENT service and no-​hassle return policy. :-) We’re fans!
Later that Sunday afternoon, after finishing up cleaning out the Garage, we enjoyed a nice BBQ on my Weber Q!

I usually don’t write a review for Home Depot. Today, two ladies helped us to get 4 bags of sand and heavy stones. It was like a impassible mission to us until they showed up and saved us. We will always be grateful for all that they have done.
There is another lady, her name is Joceline. She is always kind and helpful to everyone. I went to home Depot about 7 times in two months for a barn door. The system didn’t allowed us to do the special order. No one knows why. Joceline tried to find out why and when can we order it. She called the vendor many times. Finally, we ordered it under her help. She is definitely the best employee in this Home Depot.

The 5 star is for this specific store, especially Makiba and Anthony. Home Depot customer service call center SUCKS! I will tell you why.
I bought Samsung washer&dryer from Home Depot online. The website says they have free installation service for this set. All I need to do is buy necessary parts and schedule delivery. So I bought the parts as per website instruction, and wait for them to come today.
When installation team came today, they installed the washer, but only dropped by the dryer w/​o hooking it up, saying I need a flexible duct, because the semi-​rigid duct I bought won’t work in my house. I asked what I should do. They say I can go to Home Depot local store to exchange the duct and reschedule the installation with HD. «I’ll come back after you buy the right duct. See you next week!» That’s their parting shot.
Then I visited this store and found the right duct. But when I called the customer service number to reschedule it, they first said I should call the local delivery agency they work with. I called the agency, only to be told I should call HD. I called HD again. This time, HD associate said they don’t install any dryer at all, «We only install washers.» I was so pissed. I said, «It is written in black and white on your website that for electric dryers, hookup is free!» The associate put me on hold. Minutes later, her manager began speaking to me, saying there is nothing they can do. I better contact the local HD store.
Their in-​store associate Anthony was with me the whole time. He heard my story and also found it ridiculous. He took me to Makiba, a nice lady in charge.
«Hooking up a dryer using flexible duct is pretty easy. I don’t know why they said they don’t do it. If they don’t help you, our store will help you. I am sorry for all this you’ve been through,» she said.
That’s the 5 star for this store and a middle finger for the call center.
