I’ve been coming to this costume store ever since they used to be in Hawthorne. Last time I checked they’re only opened Fri-Sun(I believe) I usually get great service here, they DO try to help. I’ve purchased wigs and body-make-up from the =)

I went to this tiny warehouse with a hanging banner excuse for a costume shop because google said it was the closest thing to my work in Manhattan beach. I checked online first and looked up a top hat, frock coat/vest combination and it said it would be $ 65 to rent and $ 220 to purchase. I went in and the two assistants were extremely helpful, the selections that were out on the floor were old and faded generic costumes. When I settled on a top hat, only one of the 3 they brought out looked decent, the others looked like someone had sat on them. The coat was slightly torn in places and poorly repaired in others… I asked them how much it would be to buy and the owners wife said she had to check and almost immediately she said $ 500.00 for just the coat and she kept going up from there. I wound up not wearing the costume even though I rented it, when I put it on later that evening, my friend said I smelled like mold and mildew. I had to rush out to party city to get something quick for the party that night. Needless to say, I took it back the next day, the assistants were apologetic and even wrote a note for the owner to call me about issuing me a credit and they laughed about how much she tried to charge me for purchasing the costume. I never got that call. I won’t be going back to this place. Ever.

First off it is in like a factory district looking place so you may not see it right off. We were looking for mask for the Masquerade party we went to last weekend. The nicest one they had was for rent only, who rents a mask… It was a grand masks though. Feathers and glitter… really girly for my lady. The funniest thing a cop walks in looking for an Elvis costume… WTF right… Sunset Junction sing a long I think… lol. The prices were not bad for a costume shop I found a cheap all black Zorro looking masks. They had cool stuff there but I still prefer Hollywood.
