Green Point Landscape

Green Point Landscape (also known as Greenpoint Landscaping, Inc. owned by Martin) services our neighbor’s yards front and back each week and Greenpoint had done some hardscapting for them as well. We asked our neighbor their opinion about their service and for their contact info so we could get a quote too — but just for the front yard for our house (our lots are the same size and the back yards are much larger than the front). Our neighbors haven’t been thrilled with Green Point but said they were acceptable if you «keep on them» so we called for a quote — as they are already right next door every week. Martin came out. I explained I only wanted the front yard done for now. We received a quote of what our neighbors pay for less than half of the work!
When I emailed back and asked for clarification because I was a) in shock and b) incredulous that is wasn’t at least half of what our neighbors pay if not less than half (we have less yard than our neighbors in the front) and c) wanted to give him the opportunity to adjust his gouging since I knew what our neighbors paid, (which is not a cheap amount) or claim innocence and say he mistakenly bid on both front and back, he instead replied that is the quote.
Call us extremely dissatisfied that they would try and rip us off, and apparently not interested in taking on new business. Boo hiss. Probably for the best since I don’t have time to «keep on the men» like my neighbor does anyway. I’m going to lay bets that when I do find a good service, my neighbor might change too.
