Should have gone to the Tin Fish. Started at the bar to wait for a table outside. Hostess was great and time quoted was perfect. Bartender was sociable too. Our server on the patio at 8 pm on 06/18/2016 did not refill the one beer my husband asked for so we decided to refill our drink with him going back to the bartender. She walked passed him with our drinks in hand and showed zero remorse or care. This place has a lot of potential and seems to have been around a while. Too bad.

Great food! Great service! Great beer selection! This is my go to location in Newburgh. Take out, sit in the family area, sit on the deck, belly up to the bar, no mater where you land you will have a great experience.

Better than average pub grub. That pork tenderloin you remember from college — it’s here! Huge salads, and great pizza. The house special is still ‘fiddlers’ which is available filleted boneless if your not used to native style with head and fins. Reasonable priced cocktails, wines, and beers. Free parking and al fresco available in season or Al Aire Libra for the Hispanic community.

We can’t wait for the patio to open this year. We were there last fall and could have stayed all night. Compliments to the chef and staff. Next time when we are traveling it will be our first stop. Love it.

The Kraut Balls are so good… I would be willing to trade my children for three orders of them. The pizza is great. Just a solid place to be a regular.

mostly an older crowd in here. I had the fried chicken which was completely bland no seasoning in the batter at all. The place could also use a good scrubbing, and a new décor.

Place sucks. First it hard to find the entrance. It’s like a maze. 4 doors to choose from and none of them are marked entrance. I ordered the boneless fish and they gave me fish with bones. I hate eating fish with all the bones. Turns my stomach just thinking about it. The waitress didn’t even offer to replace or get me something different until the person I was with said something. Place is over priced and they have more flies then customers. Won’t go back.

Visited Knob Hill Tavern on July 4. Expected it to be busy given it was a holiday(and a Friday evening), but we were seated right away. Our family of 4 was seated at a small corner table in the restaurant area, right next to the swinging door that leads to the bar/tavern. It was a little annoying to keep a watchful eye on that door every time the servers would go in/out to ensure we didn’t get clobbered in the head. A few close calls, but my noggin’ managed not to get hit. And we were thankful we got a table right away on a holiday evening, so I really can’t complain.(But if we go back, we wouldn’t want to sit there… the swinging door is very distracting during meal time conversations.) We had entered through the tavern side and as we walked through to the restaurant, I took note of the beers on tap, including Bell’s Oberon. When our server took our drink order, I asked for a pint of Oberon. She had no idea what I was talking about and even told me «we don’t carry that.» When I mentioned that I saw they had it on tap when we were walking through the tavern, and she finally said«Oh, you mean Bell’s? A pint of Bell’s? OK.» Um… Bell’s is the name of the *brewery* and they make more than just Oberon, but whatever you want to call it as long as you bring me what I want. Food was good and service(other than the initial confusion over Oberon) was fine. Toward the end, we weren’t quite done with our food yet, and actually wanted refills on our drinks, but felt rushed when our server brought our bill out. Not sure if it’s because it was a Friday evening and the 4th of July and perhaps our server was just anxious to get out of work and go hang with family/friends? 3 stars.

Great place, atmosphere. Learned some local culture. Fidlers are catfish. Fishbowl is a beer mug. Got the fiddlers. Reluctantly it was over done to the point that getting thru the crust took a significant effort. I prefer the way catfish is done around Lake Cumberland. Overall 3⁄5.

Some of our food was pretty good but my dad’s pizza was hardly what you’d call a pizza. No cheese on a fourth of it. My dad asked about it and the waitress gave some bullshitty explanation that the cheese bubbled up and rolled off the top. Rolled off a flat surface. I don’t think that’s how cheese works. Anyway the waitress herself was one of the worst I’ve ever had. All frowns, never friendly. Would leave us before we could even ask her for ketchup and whatnot. Gave flat drink refills from a tepid pitcher sitting on the counter. There are plenty of other places to eat in Newburgh. As for this establishment, it’s a real Knob Job.

We had not been to Knob Hill for a while, so we tried it again. known for their«fiddlers» and that is what I ordered. The cole slaw was creamy and very good. wife ordered Mahi with mango salsa, with a baked potato. I was satisfied with my order, but wife said the Mahi was very dry. The amount of salsa was not enough, so she asked for an additional serving. Her baked potato had been cooked in foil, which makes for a «funky» taste, and it is served with margarine, not butter. We both hate taking short cuts when preparing baked potatoes. If you check the menu, sour cream is an additional 50 cents. Somewhat disappointed with her meal, the capper was the charge of ONE dollar more for a tablespoon of mango salsa! Our bill was for nearly $ 40.00, but the $ 1.00 for the salsa was really penny-pinching. We probably will not return

The food here is pretty good, I especially like the Greek salad and hot pizza bread. I would probably like it more if I weren’t a vegetarian, but as it is there aren’t a ton of entrée options for me to choose from. The pizza is good, and they usually have veggie burgers if you ask for them, but they’re not on the menu. I would give it more stars, but I’m not a fan of some of the employees, it seems most of the good ones have left or been driven off by the bartender(she’s also driven-off many of the regulars too).

If Knob Hill was nonsmoking all the time I would like it a lot more, but it’s so small and your entire experience can be ruined by some jerk with a cigar. Their pizza is really cheesy and good and the pizza bread is a yummy appetizer.
