Del Taco

Quick delivery and little waiting line compared to similar fast food drive thrus. coming from norway, i realized quickly that this wasnt the mexican cuisine socal is so famous for. meh! Pick somewhere else!

This is a last decision on our way home and starving stop late at night place for us. EVERY TIME, it never fails, we get home and something we paid for is missing. This night takes the cake: quesadilla was as if someone intentionally dumped a tablespoon of salt all over it. Missing a taco. Which is weird because we got very little food. When I’m driving away I’m like dang the bags heavy… You know why? The most hot sauce packages I’ve ever seen at once outside of a restaurant. Half the dang bag. For such little food? It just shows that you literally have no care. My chicken quesadilla is not edible it’s so salty, my wife’s taco is missing, so that leaves us to split one bean and cheese burrito. But wait, thank god I got 2 small fries and a drink. How could you screw that up? Low and behold, half way down the bag I grab 3 fries. I take one ketchup packet and evenly distribute some across the fries because I am not a dipper. Somewhere a long the line I realize that there is a string of hair in my mouth. I grab the 3 fries out of my mouth and see not one strand, but kinked up weird looking multiple short strands accompanied by an extremely long strand of hair. I look at my wife horrified and very crazily yell at her saying please to sweet baby Jesus tell me if this is your hair before I have a stroke. She inspected the 3 half chomped fries in my hand with ketchup residual intertwined with hair, and as she did, a look of disgust blanketed her face. She waited some time and very hesitantly said, «yes it’s mine Hun, look». I knew better though, I knew she was lying. I’m instantly violated and want to drive back over to the place with all the trash I can find in my house and throw it through the drive thru window. I want to get my hair cut and take a bag of my hair over there and make every worker eat a burrito that they make and stuff it full of my bagged hair. But I don’t… I calm myself. I remind myself I have children. Now there are some great story tellers out there, but who could make this up. To the people working at del taco 1.23.16 at 9:30 — I hope you all get food poisoning.

they have such terrible service that each time i go they mess up my order which is literally in fact a plain cheeseburger its sad to think that the management there is so poor that they cant get a plain cheese burger right, if you want to get ripped off and have your order messed up every time you go this is the place to go the employees are nice yet mediocre the food is good but service is terrible i will not be coming back soon…

I Hate Restaurants & Fast Food Places that ARE CHEAP!!!
Also…I hate to ding a Fast Food Place for small stuff but this got both of us steamed. A few weeks back we were in Moorpark (CA) and stopped at the Del Taco there… we ordered a couple Double Del Cheese Burgers & a few tacos. The burgers were kind of dry looking so we asked for extra dressing… they charged us 40 cents each for a thimble sized plastic container of dressing.
Today we were in our local Newbury Park Del Taco which we patronize regularly… I ordered a Taco on a Bun (the Taco Burger) it arrived with no dressing at all on either side of the bun… my wife went back to get some dressing for it…40 cents again for the thimble.
Now you can go to In-​N-​Out and order as many dressing packets as you want for free…
This is just Stupid & Cheap on their part… it’s dressing not extra meat or tomatoes???
That’s enough to make our family going to Del Taco!

This is the worst fast food place I’ve been to in years! The food is dry, the tacos break apart when you pick them up and they taste terrible. The staff is ignorant to any sense of customer service.
When asking for a cup for water they said they don’t have any. Huh?! When asked if we could just have a small drink or coffee cup they said they would have to charge $ 1.99! You’re kidding me! For water?!! What restaurant won’t give you a cup for water?! When I asked for the manager — they said he wasn’t there. No kidding.
And the music is loud Hip Hop which is not customer appropriate.
Most of the staff doesn’t speak English either. They just stair at you with stupid looks on their faces.
Avoid this place at all costs!!! Poorly managed and has bad food!

I’ve come here on and off many times in the past years and usually come in to see their specials. I like that they change the specials every month or two so there are always new things you could try. Though if you find a special you like, it might not be around long which can be a bummer. Ate here earlier in the week and it was okay. Nothing too special. My friend ordered a kid’s meal but only got the burger (no drink or fries). My burrito was okay but not great and I made the mistake of ordering the fried, caramel cheesecake bites again. They’re 2 – 3 bite sized and the cheesecake sits on one end and the caramel on the other. So you get a bite of fried caramel and then a bite of fried cheesecake. «Cheesecake» just tasted sort of like creamcheese and was very unappealing and a big bite of hot caramel with a bit of fried dough-​exterior wasn’t enjoyable either. I did like my churro and the place looks recently painted on the inside. It’s an older building but it works. Friendly staff. So so food. It’ll probably be a while before I come back.

There’s a reason this location only has 2 stars. Mediocre customer service and if you order a large fry you might as well order a small because they only filled it up half way. And they were cold. Oh and when you pay for a side, you expect it to be filled all the way. They gave me basically a spoonful of coagulated nacho cheese in a big container. I won’t be back. They should go train at the Simi Valley location on first street. They have superb service and food.

Go ANY other place but DO NOT go here.
Your health, your wealth and your stomach will thank you.
Why? In how many ways do I avoid thee, let me count the ways …
The place is DIRTY
The employees are RUDE (especially the «Manager» named John on Oct 5, 2015 at 7 pm)
The food really has a SMELL
I saw a RODENT like creature scurrying away against the wall
The food may also have UNSPECIFIED ingredients
No one gives you a STRAIGHT answer
You wonder who is working behind the counter — them or YOU
Parking is MISERABLE
Drive through can have ALL TYPES OF BUMPER and WINDOW MIRROR problems
No one CARES …
… and I have not even attempted to go into the RESTROOM yet !!
Do yourself a favor and STAY FAR AWAY!!!
ANY OTHER FAST FOOD JOINT WILL BE BETTER!!!

If you like establishment’s that you, go through drive through, order food, pay for food and then proceed to throw food directly into the trash… then this is the place for you.
If your definition of getting «hooked up» means receiving a quesadilla with completely un-​melted cheese inside… then this is the place for you. I grew up on this location and it has progressively gotten worst over time.
1.5 — I will not be returning to this Del Bell.

Every time i go to this joint, they screw up my order. Seriously every time!!! Long wait times in the drive thru. Cold fries tonight. Then they blame it on the headset, just stop. I love del taco, but this one is poorly run and the bathrooms are dirty.

This place is the worse ever. Not once has the food been prep aired properly. The hamburgers we had last night was the last time I’ll eat here! They were over cooked or over nucked, no sauce and way too much lettuce. Not sure why they have so many problems cooking simple foods. And these people want $ 15 hr to screw up our orders? Never.

Sketchy crew here. Usually indifferent. Don’t like the way they make the burritos with all that empty tortilla at the top. Their cheese though finely grated is just a fat clump in the food. Love the cheapy bean and cheese. Their hot sauces rule over taco bell’s. The taco Tuesday special is good. The soft chicken tacos have changed over the years. Need to bring the pork menu back.

Okay so it is the only Del Taco in this area– we didn’t want to drive far away from the freeway since we were just passing through. This location is kind of dirty inside, not the cleanest. Employees were friendly so that was good. But they seemed to struggle with getting our order correct. My food was mediocre. Cheese quesadilla, was okay. Macho French fries were super salty. Guacamole fish tacos, only one taco had guacamole and the other was smothered in sour cream. In our group someone ordered French fries and had to go back. Overall we probably would not hit this location ever again, if possible. But when you’re starving and there isn’t much options around I guess this location beats famine.

i’m a professional at eating del taco and the one i went to before i moved down here was great. I find this location dirty and old, and there’s always something wrong. They don’t cut the breakfast quesadillas enough, so they’re hard to eat. (They do add the green sauce perfectly which some locations seem to forget). The fries have been old every time i’ve gone (3x so far). When fresh, they have a 5 minute time limit anyway, but these always seem really old. I also found a hair in my breakfast burrito but i ate around it (i am sure we all digest stranger’s hairs from time to time — it won’t kill you).
Every time i come, i am bummed and regret it. I now go up to Camarillo for my Del Breakfast.
Employees seemed friendly enough. A lot of Del Tacos are getting remodeled. This one should be on that list. It’s dirty dirty dirty, which is strange because the neighborhood is kinda ri¢hy ri¢h.

The food is definitely not the best. It’s good, if you want to get a quick bite that is extremely cheap. You can get some super cheap tacos or burritos any day of the week, which are even cheaper with weekly deals. The service is good, besides from the fact that whenever I go through the drive though they usually forgot my food items. It’s good for a Del Taco.

we’ve been going to this place since the early 80s when it was a Naugles. It really rocked back then. And its the only Del Taco in our town. But its sooo bad… so dirty, so rude, so awful, and the food is sub-par…so much so that we drive out of our way and all the way down the hill to the one in Moorpark on L.A. Ave (Target Center) to get our Del Taco fix. So even tho’ this place is in our hometown and closer for us… we avoid it like the plague. Which is a shame, because its in a pretty nice neighborhood. Oh well…

Del Taco, the place to go when you want a decent Burger and Fries… or tacos and food poisoning and a woodsy aftertaste, apparently.
I wood give this Del Taco 1.5 stars as some of their more expensive food isn’t too bad, but still meh.
They have rather good burgers, and I love the huge amount of thick fries you get in a large cup, but as for the namesake being TACO, you would expect better of their TACOS!
I do not know if it is just this Del Taco… But I swear their cheap taco meat is made of ground up wood… I honestly woodn’t be surprised if it was, as Taco Bell pulled the same stunt.
My partner and I used to go to this Del Taco almost every night when the munchies hit and order a ton of $.39 tacos… Or when they still had shredded beef burritos, I wood give this place 5 stars for the shredded beef burritos alone, if they didn’t change or get rid of those as well.
Somewhere along the line, either this particular Del Taco or the entire company as a whole, decided to change the flavor or recipe of their cheap taco meat to WOOD and something that causes diarrhea and vomiting 85% of the time for multiple people I know. Hah! Take that, poor or frugal people!
Maybe my taste buds are more refined than the average customer but I think Taco Bell and Del Taco get their WOOD MEAT from the same wood meat forests.
So if you are craving some yummy and cheap tacos, and Del Taco is the ONLY place open at night… Order a burger and fries because this is not the place to go for tacos…
Unless you are a woodchuck then you can order the cheap tacos. Mmm… Wood meat!

Stay Away!!! I’ve been to this location often in the last 4 yrs and Im pretty sure there was a change of management or employees something is wrong. The employees are rude! I ordered chili fries and a big long piece of hair came with it! Sooo gross!!! I am NOT returning to this location
