Dick’s Cut & Style

Literally the WORST experience I’ve had at a haircut place in ALL of the 805. The rude, ignorant lady cutting hair completely disregarded what I wanted done to my eight year olds head. I said, verbatim, «Please do NOT cut his curls off, only take an inch», the idiot then looks at me as she’s finishing and says, again verbatim, «His curls will grow back» Like it was her effing decision to make. She cut FOUR inches off. Just because you cut hair doesn’t mean you decide what haircuts to give. Then even tho I expressed how she did EXACTLY what I asked her not to do, she trys to argue with me, telling me the salon down the road, Great Clips, is bad, not her, and others just are afraid to cut as much as needs to come off. WTF??? And 22 bucks. Never once did she offer me my money back, jesus, she didn’t even apologize. The most expensive joke of a haircut in the 805. The chick should be fired. And if she’s an owner, she should sell her business. I can’t say it enough, DO NOT GIVE THIS RIP OFF PLACE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. YOU’RE BETTER OFF CUTTING YOUR OWN HAIR!

I got a sloppy cut here, tried to get her to clean it up, and she got a tude. Save your money and go to a real barber shop.

I have been getting my hair cut at this shop for almost 20 years — first by Dick, the original owner, and for the past few years by Veronica who purchased the business from Dick upon his retirement. Overall, I was been satisfied with the quality of service: the cuts were not great but fair priced and Veronica knew how to cut my hair.
Lately, her son seems to have taken over the business and it’s just terrible. I received the worst haircut I have ever received from this guy, and that says a lot (I once let an intoxicated girlfriend cut my hair. What can I say, I was in love…) Anyway, it was a BAD haircut. To make matters worse, this guy has a bad attitude. Sullen and acts like he resents being there. Dude, if you hate your profession of your customers so much just stay home. Please!
Veronica always kept the shop pretty clean and the gear was in good shape. Not now — the shop is a mess, the utensils were filthy and dull. I’m done.
Unfortunately there are not a lot of places to get your hair cut in Newbury Park. So go into T.O. or Agoura if you must, but I suggest that you avoid Dick’s Cut and Style.

The staff gives a great quality haircut and conversation. I have been pleased EVERY time I go in for a cut and I can’t say that for some of the surrounding chain stores.

I came here after getting a lousey cut at one of those chain cut stores. She fixed my hair cut with out shaving my head. I was so happy and will be coming back again.
