Hands down, the best Chinese food that you can get in Newbury Park!!! I’ll admit, it’s not authentic Chinese food,(I’m Asian and I traveled to Shanghai and Taiwan so I can say this) but I always come back to their Spicy Honey Shrimp dish! It’s super yummy! The space is small and it can get crowded, but they give you a lot of food so you leave full and happy! The prices for lunch are affordable. Dinner is a little pricey but it’s so worth it because of the big portions and there is huge selection on their menu. Definitely try this place out if you’re in the area and if you want to satisfy your Chinese food cravings!

Stopped by on Xmas and place was busy! Waited for a seat and hot sour soup was good. Chow mein was ok. Ordered additional food to go(orange chicken and beef and Broccoli). Was good but I’ve had better.

Tiny restaurant only 10 tables, so come early or take out. Orange chicken excellent, mongolian beef and imperial shrimps fresh, pretty good but not exquisite. Value lunch specials available at reasonable prices, or order dinner specialities with more authentic cuisine for discerning palates. Noodles not as good as fried rice. Worth exploring more dishes on menu!

This is our go-to place for Chinese food. I have not had better Chinese food in Los Angeles area(I’m from San Francisco which has awesome Chinese cuisine). My favorites are the won ton soup with mixed meats, beef noodle soup(has generous chunks of tender beef and broth is delicious) crispy orange chicken, broccoli beef, Kung pao chicken, and fried rice with mixed meats. We usually order for take out and pick up, we find delivery too slow. When we have dined in, the service is also great!

This is my absolute go to as far as chinese food here in Newbury Park. This place serves their food very fresh and they’re always very nice(not always the case for other chinese places. Im a big fan of the«soft noodle» with chicken mixed in.

Food arrived at a decent time but I was sad to see the price was so high for such minimal amounts of scrap which ended up causing food poisoning the very next day. Disappointed.

It’s better than normal Americanized Chinese food. The orange chicken is really the best — and this is coming from someone who lived in China! I would say that if you are sensitive to MSG, do ask them to not add it!

Another great spot for some warm delicious beef noodle soup. The ingredients are not only great for the eyes but plentiful for your hunger needs. They have a good variety of noodle dishes you can take advantage of as well as pricing to go with it. The portions are generous and will not leave you disappointed. The staff is great and will make sure your needs are met. Parking is in their lot and is a non issue.

Unfreaking believable!!! This place is the best Chinese food I have ever had. The happy family dish was like no other, I liked it so much that I’m keeping the left overs. Parking is easy, but then I’m here on a Tuesday night. The service is too notch, the staff is friendly, kind, helpful and respectful. This place should expand! I will return without a doubt

Previously I gave this restaurant a Four-star, but this time we went there again and it was quite disappointing. The place was so crowded and so noisy I felt so much stress eating there. And because they were so busy, the service sucked. And because they were so busy, the chef was going crazy, food was too spicy, too salty and so forth. I say DONOT go here on the weekends or holidays. If you really need to eat, do TAKEOUT. DONOT dine in because it’s so crowded you will not enjoy your dinner! You cannot even walk to your table from the door because they put so many tables there and blocked all the passages! I think it might be my last time going to Sesame Inn. I DONOT recommend this restaurant.

Good food, good service and simple and clean interiors. Everything one can ask for in a seemingly small hole in the wall place, it’s not though. I’ve had their food couple of times and really liked it both times. Had kungpao chicken first time and second time had chilly chicken — which is dry, spiced rubbed chicken dish and is not on the menu. I found about it when I asked for suggestions. Highly recommended asking for suggestions describing what you like since they can do many modifications. If you care for vegetarian food, then also they have many options. The egg drop soup is a good start to the meal along with spring rolls. Hot and sour was bit too salty for me and my friends. But overall everything is great and people are friendly. Ask for suggestions and you will not be disappointed.

This place has the best Chinese food! I used to go to Imperial Garden here in Thousand Oaks until I found this place. Even though Imperial Garden is closer this place is well worth the drive. I can never get tired of this place because there are so many good options to choose from. For instance, I love their orange beef, the House Special crispy chicken, and the Sesame shrimp are all amazing! Their beef noodle soup and wonton soups are both excellent. I also recommend the chicken fried rice which is exceptional and also their Mongolian Beef! Overall exceptional food. They do get very busy especially during dinner so be prepared to wait or if you are ordering take out sometimes it can be hard to get through when it is really busy.
