Hansen Bros Moving & Storage

Our recent move was actually what we expected. Our estimate was lowered
because we did pack a few things ourselves. We noticed later a few things were not properly labeled but were found intact. The movers themselves were polite and careful with our belongings. They were able to maneuver our
steep terrain at our new home without incident.
Movers aren’t mind readers. Explain what you want and what you expect.
I would use them again.

If I could give them 0 stars or even negative, I would. I have moved over 20 times — even taken my precious glass/​crystal/​etc., items from here to Germany and back without one small thing being broken and in one move to California from Seattle, these untrained and clearly uncaring humans have managed to leave me with a long list of broken, trashed, unusable family treasures. They cannot be replaced.
They trashed my house — that I was putting on the market Thousands of dollars later, which they will be paying for, I was forced to hire contractors to manage fixing what their team couldn’t manage to protect. Scratched my wood floors, gashes in the walls and the list goes on. Now I’m dealing with opening boxes to broken, trashed and scratched things that can’t be fixed or replaced.
No padding on the floors or walls. No sense in how things were packed or where they were put into a box. I cannot believe anyone could care so little about someone else’s life or collections.
One guy busted into my alcohol and drank from a $ 250 bottle of imported liquor. Another guy wrapped my great grandmother’s irreplaceable jewelry box with packing tape and put it in the bottom of a box — no wrapping. Trashed it. And one of the guys was more interested in my personal life than doing his job.
I’m sick to my stomach about it. Sending me money is NOT going to make me feel better. Of course they don’t care about their service, they have a monopoly in Seattle. That they are using to buy a basketball team, by the way.
Disgusted with the whole lot of them. THis company does not deserve your money for such a horrific service experience.

Well thought I write an update as to WHY YOU MUST AVOID them!
They did such a poor packing job that we had numerous broken items. I forgot to mention it on the original post but they also broke few glasses during packing and stuffed them into garbage (we found out when we emptied it). Granted much of the damage may be due to Allied’s loading and unloading (Sirva Relocation who owns Allied paid $ 3k claims) but even their unload and unpack crews were shocked by Hansen’s carelessness like no box or packing paper over antique wooden box (just a sticker on it). About half of boxes packed by Hansen had NO description at all on the box! I had to undo the tape to tell local Allied agent where the box should go.
So in summary, petty thieves, carelessness packing and no box descriptions.
I urge you to read the FILTERED reviews as all of the negative reviews under filtered reviews echo my experiences.\
BTW — my last interstate move from southern CA to Seattle was thru United and only item broke/​damaged was a light fixture.
Allied and espeically Hansen SUCKS!

You pay for what you get for and with Hansens you pay for extra to really ensure a great move.
I had to knock off one star because they double charged me, and it was a process to try and get a hold of someone that could help me.
