History

Established in 1924.

Sepers Nursery was founded in 1924 by Cornelius J. Sepers and his wife Gertrude. In 1945 their son, Leonard joined the business after he served his country in World War II. In 1949 the property on Columbia Avenue in Newfield, New Jersey was purchased and in 1960, Leonard was one of the first nurserymen to start container grown material. The business flourished and in 1976 Louis, Leonard’s son, joined in the family business. These three generations set a standard of honesty, integrity & trust in the industry. A fair price for a quality product has been the hallmark at Sepers Nursery.

Currently, Lou and his wife Janet’s three children, Andrea, Matthew and Daniel are all an integral part of the daily operations at Sepers. The 4^th generation has helped Sepers Nursery grow, while still maintaining the values and ethics that were taught by the previous generations.
