Hot Yoga Haven

I was new to the area and found this place through Groupon and decided that I wanted try their version of hot yoga. I’ve done Bikram Yoga for the last 5 and a half years and I was open to trying some new yoga. I went to the Valencia location and found the entrance to be very cramped and crowded when checking in. I didn’t like that we have to leave our stuff up front during class, but they don’t lock the doors. There is also no lockers. There is also no showers. Which is perplexing since you’re doing hot yoga and you are a complete sweaty mess when you leave. I don’t really want to sit in my car dripping sweat all over my car seats. I’ve never been to a hot yoga studio that didn’t have showers.
I’ve done the Jval Hot Yoga class three times, with three different instructors. All three did the postures differently and the sequence is never the same. Sometimes they do full locus in the series, sometime not, sometimes half-​locus is in the series, sometimes it is not. It’s a crap shoot on what yoga you get. I’m not sure if that is intentional, but if you are promoting a system of yoga through a series of yoga postures, you should be consistent with that series. The instruction also leaves a lot to be desired. My husband (who took class with me and has done Bikram Yoga as well), has never done downward dog, so when it came up in class, he didn’t know what he was doing and there was no instruction on the correct way to do it or a teacher coming by to check and make sure he knew what he was doing. Most of the instructors are busy doing the postures rather than checking on their students that their form is correct. I saw a lot of unlocked arms and unlock legs on postures that require that that you lock your elbows and knees. There is not a lot of benefit to the postures if your not doing them correctly. It’s like lifting weights. If your not using the proper technique, then your just slinging weights around and not getting as much benefit as you should. Plus, there is potential to hurt yourself is you’re doing it wrong. You can hurt yourself in yoga by not doing a pose properly, or coming out of it incorrectly.
There are few other things, but I just don’t want to feel like I’m completely bagging on the place. I think the biggest thing was that the yoga felt very watered down. It was okay and the instructors were nice, but I just expected more.

I love Hot Yoga Haven. I’ve been going there off and on for about 5 years and was so happy when they opened the 2^nd location, however I go to both. I have to say every experience there has been great and I feel so cleansed and refreshed when I leave. It’s the best thing I do for myself. Such a great workout and Kevin is such a great instructor! You can’t go wrong taking a class here!

I love this yoga studio! One of my pet peeves with most yoga studios is that when you walk in you immediately feel out of place … But NOT here! It is such a welcoming place and I always feel amazing the minute I walk in. All the instructors are amazing. Annelie is so calming and so knowledgable! I just did a prenatal class with her and I can’t recommend it more! I also love Janine and the owner Catherine! Love this place!

I love this studio!!! So clean, and all the teachers are amazing!!! I started as a stranger three days ago, I feel like we’re all friends now! Such a positive, and special place!!!

So I’m totally a beginner when it comes to yoga and after one class with Catherine… I’m addicted.
My friend always recommended Hot Yoga Haven but I was never confident enough to try it… But now I’m just out of shape and always tired and I know I need a change. So the boyfriend and I decided to just take the plunge and we don’t regret it! Catherine is amazing and so kind and reassuring. I had so much anxiety over the fact that it was «hot» yoga, wondering if I’d be able to handle the heat. My first class was amazing, I had so much energy afterward and just felt at peace. I’m definitely in love with Jval Hot Yoga and hope to try the other classes in the future!

I love this studio. I have been to lots but never any that offered so many different classes. Jval with Catherine is awesome especially after my favorite Core class with Frank. Flow always makes me feel great on a weekend after a long work week. The instructors are all fantastic! Try them all! And you can with some class packages as low as $ 10/​class!

I am absolutely obsessed with Hot Yoga Haven! If anyone reading this is on the fence as to which hot yoga studio to go in Santa Clarita– HANDS DOWN THIS IS THE SPOT! I can honestly say that because I used to be a member of 105 and had a terrible experience when they changed owners. Not only that, but 105 didn’t offer a very wide array of classes and didn’t care about all the amazing little touches (like the cool lavender scented towels & great music to name a few) like HYH does!
Truly the best part of my day is coming here and seeing all the smiling faces of the instructors & the happy students, too! I am SO, SO grateful to have discovered this place! Thank you HYH for helping me find my zen again!!! :) :)

Me and friend tried this place for the first time a couple months ago. we were told to get there 15 mins early because it was our first time. We actually ended up being about 10 mins. late (because I got lost. Not hard to find though) and the Instructor still kindly took us in. We loved it and our instructor was so nice and sweet. Highly recommended

I tried Hot Yoga Haven in Valencia, and I am feeling great! This place is absolutely amazing the instructor is definitely a dedicated and passionate teacher! My body feels great and I have a new love for the ‘heat’. Thank you Hot Yoga Haven!!! I will be seeing you soon.

A friend and I found a month of hot yoga deal on Amazon local. Since it was a good deal we decided to try it out.
I had never taken a «hot» yoga class before and the first night kicked my butt! After a few classes I got used to the heat, my body needed to adjust.
We took the vinyasa flow classes with Annelie and she is amazing. There was usually a good mix of beginners in that class and she gives us the modified poses so I felt like I could follow along with the whole class.
She even helped me modify my downward dog and plank poses to help avoid irritating the carpal tunnel in both my wrists. Normally when I did a yoga class both my hands would be tingly for days after and Annelie has helped me avoid it.

No matter your age, weight, fitness level Hot Yoga Haven is for you, I PROMISE! It will transform your entire life. Try a class… or a dozen :) You will feel refreshed, stronger, powerful & will love yourself (as well as others) more than ever.

Almost don’t want to tell you about this place as it will make classes to full! But this place is amazing.
Been a member for 7 years and the new location is a nice opportunity depending on my schedule to have another option available, depending on where I am in Valencia. Mall the teachers are amazing and knowledgeable. The owner is the amazing and has such a beautiful light, if you are looking to get in shape, release stress, and overall improve your outlook on life, go try a class and see how you feel when you are done… You’ll be hooked…

I have been attending classes at Hot Yoga Haven for over four years now, and I cannot say enough good things about this place. Although it is not very close to where I live, I make the drive three or four times a week religiously because I love this place. I have always been a fairly active person as far as working out goes. However, now that I am doing hot yoga, not only has it completely transformed my body, but I no longer do any other exercises. I find it all in hot yoga. In addition to being good for the body, yoga is also good for the skin (all the sweating you do in the class releases toxins), and all the twisting motions are fantastic for cleaning out the internal organs. It improves posture, strength, balance and flexibility. There are too many benefits to mention, but it is truly a total body and mind strengthening experience from the inside out. There are all sizes, shapes, ages and different genders. You don’t have to worry about being perfect and fitting in because everyone is different and everyone can keep their own pace. The instructors are very good at offering modifications for people who have certain disadvantages or are unable to perform certain of the poses. For example, if you have bad knees, the teacher will give you an optional exercise if the one being demonstrated is not good for you. The instructors are all very kind, easy going and knowledgeable, and they are happy to help. The owner, Catherine is such a lovely, sweet, caring and kind lady and I feel like family every time I go there. Recently, I have had a few out-​of-​state guests and I have brought them to a class with me. They both loved it so much that when they returned home, they sought a similar place where they could take hot yoga classes. I will be going to Hot Yoga Haven for as long as I possibly can. I love it.

Never been a fan of hot yoga but the vinyasa flow with Annelie is awesome. She will not only help advance your practice but make sure your form avoids injury. Studio is always clean.

This place is great! I just wish yoga was less expensive! but I love how much I sweat!

Love this place. The instructors are super and the owner is great. Both studios are always clean and the instructors are great with all levels of students. The cold lavender towels at the end of practice are the best! The heat is great for your practice. I’ve been going 4x a week and I’m in the best tone, balance, and shape I’ve ever been in; I find I have to eat more or I’m going to be too thin. Enjoy the best of life!

When I feel stressed and tired I love going to Hot Yoga Haven. I feel more enegised and relaxed, the instructors are great, helpful and attentive. I love it and recommend it to anyone!

Love Hot Yoga Haven! The teachers are great and very knowledgable! You can go at your own pace. The service is always wonderful. Catherine and Julie are so accommodating! Truly a warm family environment.

Very disappointed! The instructor never showed up! Was waiting outside in the cold until one of the students called the business number that connects to the owner. She apologized through speaker phone how the teacher for that particular class was unreachable. There has to be a better way to communicate unexpected circumstances or have someone at the front desk taking calls & servicing the patrons. Having one person, the instructor, man the class & front desk falls short of customer service, hence the 1 star. Not a great first weekend of the New Year Hot Yoga Haven. SMH
