Our mission is to provide the best possible service to our patients, enabling them to live the most comfortable and productive lives possible. History

Established in 1982.

VIPO was started by Barry Townsend, CPO (now owner of Bioquest Prosthetics). He and his brother Jeff Townsend (now owner of Townsend Designs) began in Bakersfield with a small family practice before branching out into their design careers. As VIPO grew to be the main facility in Kern County, offices were added to support the growing populations in the Santa Clarita Valley and the Antelope Valley. Now, all VIPO locations are ABC Accredited and transitioning to paperless offices in an effort to continue providing the most modern and quality care.
