I grew up in Orange County riding bikes along the beach bike paths and then later Pacific Coast Highway. Love the bike and beach culture. Worked as a bike mechanic at a couple pro shops in Orange County beach cities. Made extra money at night doing catering as well while in college. Bikes and Ice Cream is a great fit for me. Come by for the value and experienced, friendly service. We’d love to have you and share a special experience with you. Being a people person it’s a pleasure to share tasty ice cream and provide bike transportation locally to residents and visitors alike.

When Wayne was working here his politeness and just sincere customer service deserves 10 stars. But sadly he’s not there no more.
Yesterday me and my brother decided to get a bike from the corner and the spot was changed up a lot. Apparently he had sold the spot to this new rude guy. Wayne use to always let my brother ride a geared bike so it’s easier on my brothers bad knee new guy replied with why do you need a girls bike it’s all flat here. Rude a-​hole never doing business with this guy.
Wayne where did you go buddy, Newport trips won’t be the same.

It’s Thrifty Brand Ice Cream. It’s inexpensive and the servers seem very honest. I haven’t tried the other ice cream vendors on the peninsula, but this was the highest rated… so good luck!

YUM YUM YUM!
I came here for the ice cream and it was the best I’ve ever had. I just got an ice cream cone with animal cracker ice cream, but it was the best ice cream cone I’ve ever had! That’s some quality ice cream. I was on vacation and that place just made my vacation even better. Wish I had one where I live. I’d be there all the time. Next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I stopped here to rent bikes while in Newport Beach this past Thursday (10⁄22). The gentleman that helped us (?? maybe Wayne) was very friendly and helpful. The bike rentals were very inexpensive and he took good care of us to ensure we would have a good ride. .and that we did!

I stopped by here to get my bike tire fixed the other day. The young blond haired guy that helped me out, was fast and friendly. I think his name was Cole. He put a new tire on fast then offered me a new chain that I also bought. On our way out he also let us know that they had ice cream so my wife and I grabbed a few scoops. Great job Cole

Cheap and good ice cream. Eli the worker there was cool, I didn’t realize that you could get two different scoops when you order the regular ice cream and he offered to re do my order if I wanted it. I turned down the offer, but it was a nice notion and the kind of thing that is exemplary customer service

Best place ever out off all the beaches (And I go to the beach A LOT). Wayne is the best! Made the entire Memorial Day weekend of 2015 a blast. Nothing can go wrong with ice cream, snacks, and bikes. Went here every day for three days and it just got better every single time.

I’m a single mom with three children. We’ve been taking our bikes to the beach on Sunday afternoons to ride from the wedge to Newport Pier, stopping along the way for Ice Cream at Corner of Paradise. Always friendly, courteous service. This past weekend, I was with a friend and the tires were low on his bike, so we stopped in just to see if we could get some air… I got to meet Wayne, the owner, what a wonderful pleasant man! He not only helped us, but was sweet and personal… no charge for the air and I did not have cash on me to at least tip him… but plan to the next weekend we are there. I was VERY IMPRESSED with him and his service. I will continue to take my kids there each Sunday for ice cream. Thanks Wayne!

Excellent service! We had a couple bikes from our condo rental and just needed a trailer and he checked out our bikes for us making sure they were road ready. Best prices for bike rentals on the peninsula. Great selection and locks and helmets available. They have kid’s bikes with and without training wheels.

I recently rented a Cruiser bike from Corner of Paradise. I’m not one to write reviews, but this is place is a gem. The manager, Jane, was very helpful and patient with me when I finally decided on what bike I wanted to rent. They have a great assortment of bikes, and quite a few of them seem brand new! I rented a nice new bike for $ 10/​day which included a lock and basket for my stuff. The prices are fantastic. I love supporting small businesses, and with the personalized service I received, I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Newport Beach.

Corner of Paradise is located on the Corner of Palm Street and the Boardwalk (Oceanfront). They have an ice cream shop and a bike rental place next to each other.
I am very impressed with the Manager Jane. They got some new kid size beach cruiser bikes in, and she let my kids have fun and test ride them. Wayne is another gentlemen who works there, and he is one of the most polite men I have ever met.
My family and I are locals, so we frequent the Corner of Paradise ice cream store a lot. I always find the younger staff to be very friendly and always hook my kids up with LARGE scoops of ice cream.

If I could give zero stars I would.
The manager, Jane, is highly irritable when you’re not sure what you want to do. She’s pushy and even a little condescending. She’s very gruff and repeats herself a lot.
We weren’t sure what our dinner plans were going to be so my family and I were trying to time our bike rentals accordingly and Jane acted as if we weren’t worth her time. The employee there seemed to even apologize for her quite literally behind her back.
With so many good bike shops around, one of which we ended up renting from, she should treat customers better. And maybe not look so… Unprofessional on top of it.

Great new management and great customer service. Very accommodating and you can’t beat the prices. Employers always are very helpful and have a smile on their faces. I found a groupon deal for $ 28 on sight with no mention of exactly what it was for other than saying $ 28 for $ 50 worth. So I looked on web no mention of pricing, so I called and asked for hourly rates for beach cruisers the guy says he can’t give me a price over phone so I mention groupon and he says it was good for only 1 person so I asked how much time 1 person could have on 1 bike again he says no phone rates. Really I said I live 40 miles away and he says well I guess I don’t need your business … He felt I was getting annoyed … OMG was a dufess … Needless to say I contacted Groupon and reported his rudeness if u could give –10 this guy would get it! There are too many great bike rental places STAY AWAY

I came here first week of June. I was staying literally next door, but that wasn’t the reason I went. I went because of a Unilocal check in deal, $ 9/​day. When I went, the young man told me the deal is expired or something. I told him it doesn’t say it’s expired, but he still did not honor it. Anyway, we ended up still renting, I’m not picky, but I don’t like when people don’t honor deals.
Then when we were riding, although I missed the call, he called to tell us they are closing early because business was slow.
I ended up renting somewhere else the next days. He wasn’t very friendly either.

Everyone is always exclaiming the price $ 5/​hr for bike rental «can’t be beat». Well, I’m here to tell you it CAN!
$ 9 ALL DAY.
So you can take your five dollars (and four more) and spend them here for an incredible deal.
Hubby & I had actually planned to go to another rental place we found on Unilocal,but ran into this one next to the parking lot. We saw the deal & thought «why the heck not?!» BAsket, lock, & a signature is practically all you need (and the money of course!) We got two cruisers, basket & lock for $ 19 something total.
The guy was really friendly & helpful when we stopped by an hour later to get air refill. We will DEFINITELY be back. Great first experience!
