Forever Young Medical Day Spa

Horrible customer service… tried calling three times for an appointment and got answering machine and no call backs… went elsewhere… this was for the Garden Grove location.

I would give this place ZERO stars if it was available. Awful customer service, horrible service and their practices are non compliant to the standards for a licensed aesthetician. Nelly the aesthetician violated quite a few rules. My family including my husband, daughter and I have facial treatments regularly, minimum 3 treatments annually. We have a regular spa clinic we like but once in a while we avail of deals at other places to check out their services. In this case, Groupon advertised a 90 mins facial with Forever Young Spa, which I purchased for the 3 of us.
My husband went for services the day before our appt with my daughter and he complained of the quality of the service and that they cut short the 90 mins facial we paid for to 45 mins. When he arrived at the clinic 10 mins prior to his appt, there was no receptionist, he knocked and called out hello several times. 10 mins after his scheduled appt, he called me to complain that there was no one to check him in, so I told him to maybe go into the hallway of the back room, which he did and finally someone came out and told him to wait outside. His 90 mins treatment was cut short to 45 mins. When he complained, they accused him of being late. My husband is not confrontational, so he just left. he did warn us to make note of the total time they do the treatment or procedure.
My daughter and I both had appointments for the 90 minute facial services 2 days later. I was already appalled with Nelly’s unprofessionalism with a client ahead of us. When she processed my daughter for the treatment, she barely treated her for a total of 40 minutes max. She left her in the room at the midst of the procedure to make a 15 mins phone call in the waiting room while I was in the waiting room. The actual facial procedure and treatment itself was below standards. When we notified Nelly & her manager that the services were cut short from what was advertised in their Groupon ad, Nelly’s response was ‘it’s because it’s Groupon.’ No apologies nor any attempt to show good customer service or rectify the situation.
I would highly NOT recommend this place.
I would recommend you avail of Groupon deals for Kaloologie Spa instead, best in professional and quality service.

Great experience! I had Nelly and she was wonderful! I originally went to Nelly at the Garden Grove location and then went to the Newport location for a follow up! She really takes her time, even went over the normal 1 hour allotted spot and really cares about my face!

Nancy at the Garden Grove office was amazing. She was knowledgeable and professional. She answered all my questions and alleviated my concerns. I will definitely go back.

Nelly was great. Very professional and informative. She got right to work as is all business. Great prices and a very clean place. I had to wait a bit but that is because this place is very busy. Prices are good. I bought some gift cards too. Parking is tight because it’s right off the 73 frwy, but don’t let it stop you from visiting.

I bought a groupon for 4 «Customized 60 Minute Facials with Microdermabrasion» and what I received was a joke… This place is an embarrassment to the day spa industry.
This is how my experience went:
1) Arrived 30 min early (12:30pm) to fill out paperwork. Took me about 5 min. Then waited until my appointment at 1pm. The receptionist was busy making plans for her own treatments and other therapists/​the manager were just sitting around on their phones.
2) Nelly, my therapist, came out of her last client around 1:02pm. I expected a «hello» or «I’ll be with you shortly» but nothing. She disappeared into the back then came out again around 1:10pm. Again, I expected to be called back but no. She walked right past me and casually made herself a coffee then straight back behind the door.
3) I was finally brought back at 1:20. She stunk of coffee and was smacking gum in her mouth. I undressed and got ready for my service. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous service. It made me very uneasy.
4) She came back in the room then started a «skin analysis» at 1:25. It was horrible. She just asked «so, what do you want?» WHO THE HELL ASKS THAT? She was all over the place and even had the nerve to rest her folder on top of me while laying down. It was super uncomfortable and unprofessional. She tried to up sell me but I just wanted my facial and micro.
5) She started the cleanse and barely even rubbed my face. She was sloppy, rough and kinda just slapped my face with product. The towel wasn’t even positioned properly so half of my forehead never even got touched.
6) She then dabbed toner on my face by blotting it randomly all over including IN my mouth. Super uncomfortable.
7) she then started my micro when my face wasn’t even 100% dry yet. Big NO NO. It was rough and she didn’t use short strokes like you need to. I felt like she was vacuuming my face like she would vacuum a rug.
8) she applied a mask then left the room. I looked at the clock and it was 1:35!!! All those steps only took her 10min!!! I found out she left the room to sit on her phone in he lobby and drink coffee. I know this because my mom was waiting for me with my son in the lobby and watched her.
9) she returned and I could hear her texting on her buzzing phone. Again, SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Then she applies a bit of SPF (?) pinched my face 4 times and that was it.
I was dressed and out of the room by 1:51pm. The overall service was less than 20min. I complained to the «manager» and she said «service time includes intake, questionnaire, setting up, etc» SERIOUSLY? I told her I was early, the therapist was late. Then Nelly came out and said it was a «mini facial” — NOPE. It was advertised as a 60 minute customized facial with micro. They both sat there and argued with me for 20min. The manager was extremely rude and didn’t know what she was talking about.
I asked to see their license and they refused to cooperate. There’s NO WAY any trained professional would give such a shitty service like this. I can’t believe I wasted so much time coming here.
*my dad also got a service 2 days prior and had the same exact complaints. This place needs to be shut down.*
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. STAY AWAY!!!

They can’t figure out scheduling. Don’t bother rescheduling your day to go here. They will only turn you away.

I had a great experience at Forever Young by. Nelly gave me a complimentary neck and and hand mask and exfoliation. My face looked great when I left and I felt so much better!

I’m giving two stars on this review because I’llm beyond frustrated with this place. I’ve have now shown up two times for appointments only to be turned away. I decided not to write a review the first time thinking I’d give this business a chance to redeem itself. However — after today I just can’t recommend Forever Young. My first appointment was okay. A very bare minimum facial that only went 50 minutes instead of an hour because the esthetician was late. She also talked about her personal life a lot during the treatment which made it hard for me to relax. Didn’t ask preference or allergies/​sensitivities before applying product. Also no light — very dark room. How are you seeing my skin? However — The microdermabrasion itself was nice and I liked the result. I had bought a package of 4 so I scheduled my next appointment with a different esthetician. The day of my second appointment I received a call from the main office asking if I could move my facial 30 minutes later as appointments were running behind. No problem! I came in at the new appointment time and the esthetician balked at me as she thought she had no more appointments for the day and booked a personal appointment and had to leave. So she couldn’t accommodate me. What?! She was rude and complained about management and the people who schedule appointments. It was beyond unprofessional and made me feel like I did something wrong. So uncomfortable. I even voiced that I was uncomfortable. I rescheduled — as I bought a package! — and the girl ensured a better experience. When I actually DID have my second treatment the facial was MUCH better but completely different than the first. Microdermabrasion again was great. I reschedule an appointment for today — and showed up 15 minutes early. This time I was told that their esthetician quit today and they couldn’t take my appointment. AGAIN WTF!!! Why didn’t anyone call me?! Again I left work early as the latest appointment I can get on a weekday is 4:30 (ridiculous). The hours of operation say they are open until 7pm. The manager told me that the main office said they called me — um… no they didn’t. No missed call and no voicemail on my phone. She even checked my profile to see if my phone number was correct — which of course it is as they’ve called me before. I had to show her my phone that I didn’t miss a call! It’s just unacceptable. I don’t know how they stay in business. Not sure when my next treatment will be «as the other girl is completely booked». Unbelievable. I would go back but I spent money on a package and like the actual microdermabrasion procedure. Now I’m just waiting on a call to book another appointment. I’ll have to call to confirm myself so I don’t show up again for a treatment just to get turned away…
Lost a star as I still haven’t received a phone call one week later. No call to reschedule as the manager said she would.

It has been very frustrating to book an appointment for my procedure. Before I paid they did not tell me that the nurse would only be available on Tuesdays. If I’m doing a procedure that has 3 days downtime, i need to do it on a Friday so I’m not skipping work, but because Nancy the nurse is only there on Tuesdays scheduling has been nearly impossible. They should have more times available throughout the week or hire an additional nurse to accommodate people who work 9 to 5.
Update: in addition to the above, they set an expiration date on my package which they did not say they would when I bought it. This is a total scam.
If the service is only redeemable once a week AND it expires soon, how am I supposed to get what I paid for?

The girls at Forever Young Spa were friendly and attentive. I felt taken care of and well treated. The manager Dana is professional, helpful, and made sure that I had everything I needed post my treatment.

I was treated so well and got such a good deal at Forever young Medical Day Spa in Newport Beach! The office was nice and clean, and my wait was short.
I didn’t know exactly what I needed, so I went for a consult with Lisa Hoffman. She was very knowledgable about all options available to me. I decided to do Voluma in my cheeks, and was given a two for one deal! Nancy Nguyen Rn injected one syringe on each side which gave me a great result!
I recommend this Med Spa to anyone looking for a little lift!

DONT GO TO FOREVER YOUNG for botox or anything else for that matter. U won’t see a real doctor! I went to forever young medical Day Spa in Newport Beach about 5 months ago. I Had a video conference with the «real doctor» but he didn’t treat me. I’m pretty sure that a practicing student is who actually gave me my botox. she stuck me with the needle way too many times and right above each eyebrow & I got 2 big pimples. The pimples never really went away I’ve had really dry flaky skin around my eyebrows ever since and it has been 5 months already.

I’ve never been here before I am very excited about my upcoming appointment the young lady was very nice and welcoming and talked me into seeing the nurse and get treatments she reassured me that I will love it and the nurse is great!!!

Nancy is a very competent nurse and can answer all your questions about any facial procedures you are thinking about. Check out Unilocal and other online discounts websites. Be educated about the dangers of facial procedures and you’ll be a lot better off and not bitter like some of these comments. It’s worth the price if you get a discount but the service is not discounted.

Just do yourself a favor and don’t go. The massage therapist was 45 min late and when he got there he didn’t even apologize. They all acted like it was normal putting a customer in a quite room for that long with out any notice. 45mim late! What?! And the massage wasn’t even that great.

Clean environment. Elizabeth knew what she was talking about when it came to skincare. The facial itself was amazing! I wish she didn’t leave so quickly so I could have tipped her. Definitely recommend to other friends. Location is a little bit out of way but I’m not from around here.

The staff are so Friendly and helpful. This was my first time here and I was treated like a long lost friend. I felt special and appreciated. I would recommend this place due to the friendliness of the staff. Friendly people make all the difference. I can’t wait to come back again and get pampered!

Got the Botox GroupOn for this place as well. Sometimes when you do GroupOn deals like that you don’t know what you’re going to get.
Neat clean facility. Awesome friendly staff. Hot coco while filling out my forms, don’t mind if I do. Nancy is awesome! Seriously what can I say. She really makes you feel comfortable, she really listens to you and tries to be accommodating for what your going for. Everyone’s different, so some people are going to have various reactions to Botox regardless of how many times they’ve done it before. With that said I had to come back 3 weeks later for a small touch up. Nancy was again great and reassuring. I’m a month out now from my initial visit and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. Will absolutely be coming back! I totally look bright eyed and bushy tailed.

I purchased the 40 unit Botox Groupon special and went to have the injection not expecting that I will be assessed over the internet via Skype. The actual injection resulted in a droopy eye and brow. I am not going to go back there to have it fixed and promised myself not to go for cheap deals as you never know what the results would be. I had Botox 4 times before and never any problems.
Very disappointed and embarrassed.
