Established in 1967.

Starting as print brokers in the 60’s, we decided we needed to be able to produce it ourselves. We started with offset printing, then added Letterpress (foil emboss, die-​cutting) All along we were offering typesetting & graphics as part of the services.

Originally from Cider Rapids, Iowa my family came to Orange County in 1959. It was a lot smaller then. It felt more open and free. I married my beautiful wife Betsy and have two wonderful boys Christopher and Nicholas. As a kid one of the greatest experiences I had was to be one of the first kids at the The Boys & Girls Club of the Harbor Area, Lou Yantorn Branch. They offered wood shop and other crafts back then. I found a love for creating with my hands. I think that is why I like the printing industry. I have been designing and printing for over forty years and still love the feeling of making something new every day.

Working with Lon from Heston Graphics was truly an outstanding experience. Lon is highly detail oriented, focused on excellence. He goes above and beyond what is expected. After an initial 5 minute phone conversation, it was clear that I was going to be in good hands. Lon walked me through what I was hoping to achieve and helped me clarify it into print terms. He worked with me to ensure that I was going to be very happy with the outcome of my project. Lon has a keen eye for design, and is able to take existing graphic specifications and tweak them to meet your final print need. When I had a project with a tight deadline, Lon ensured that he could deliver on time, and was true to his word. I would trust Lon and Heston Graphics with any project, whether it is a quick print job, or a detailed letterpress project that needs to adhere to a high quality and strict brand identity. Where do I start! I miss old-​school business with old-​school service! Lon was so amazing, patient, knowledgeable and fast! He really went above and beyond which you just don’t see these days. I had five days to print amazing cards for a business trip and of course I wanted the highest quality in the least amount of time. He got the job done with the most impressive business cards and workmanship. I got compliments on my cards to everyone I handed them out to. He is such a cool guy & great to work with I will never go anywhere else!

Lon is a pleasure to work with and will take the time to talk to you and ask you questions to ensure order accuracy. He is very efficient and provides over the top customer service. His knowledge and expertise shows his love of printing — he even gave me a tour of the printing shop so I could see the printing process!

I came across Heston Graphics through google to have some business cards designed for my new company. I decided to go to a local shop mainly because I was undecided on the type of paper that would go best with my unique design. Lon showed me some of his design work and took the time out to assist me in picking out the correct paper which best suits my company’s logo design. He is very skilled and knowledgeable about his work and took the time out to help me design my card.
Lon is a true professional and has earned my future business. I will definitely use his services again to order my stationery supplies.

Why didn’t I think of that? Lon at Heston Graphics just completed my letterpress wedding invitations and I’m happy to say that the second I saw them I knew I went to the right place. Did I mention he completed it in a week? Yes, I am the last minute type so I picked up Crane paper and envelopes and the rest is a sweet, sweet memory. I game him an idea of what I was looking to do and the next thing I know he had the whole thing typeset and ready for my approval. I didn’t make changes. They were perfect and I’m SUPER picky but he’s a perfectionist.
While there I was able to take a look at his current jobs and I have to say, next time I’m going for the foil printing. I thought letterpress was fancy, then he showed me the foil and oh là là, now that’s fancy.
I found him looking for business card to be printed for my boss. They were great and quick. Sure you could buy those cheap business cards online but that’s exactly what they are, cheap and not the best first or lasting impression one should be leaving. If you are giving out your card, the odds are you have a job or expect to get paid for something. Be old school, wear a tie/​skirt and have nice cards.
I hope to see Lon in the future with more stationary jobs.
