I had a dress cleaned in January and they charged$ 20. I picked up the same dress today and they charged me $ 40. I questioned the difference in price and he said I didn’t appreciate his work. I said I did but wanted the same price. He said unless I could give home the date of the previous cleaning he couldn’t look it up. I had the previous ticket but not the receipt. He said this was disgusting — I think he is disgusting.

Last month (February 2016), I visited Newport North Cleaners to have a brand new Lyocell trench coat cleaned. Although this cleaners did a wonderful job at cleaning my coat, the amount that they charged for the cleaning was absolutely ridiculous. Newport North charged me $ 49 to clean 1 jacket!
Q: Would I go back to this cleaners or recommend it to my family/​friends?

It’s amazing how this guy does any business. My mother in law who has dementia and is 87 made the mistake of bringing here clothes there and we ended up paying her over priced bill. I couldn’t believe how much he charges. Personally, I take my laundry to Washington Cleaners in Costa Mesa on Baker Avenue near South Coast Plaza and their prices are considerably less. As much as half or two thirds the price of Newport North. In addition, my conversation with the owner leads me to believe he is a horrible boss and an unpleasant person to deal with. Unilocal should allow you to post zero stars because that’s what they would have earned.

All of these other reviews are on point. I was seriously traumatized when I went to pick up my 10 pieces for $ 120!!! I’m sorry… what??? I ended up walking out paying $ 90, due to the fact that they said I could get 20% off for living in the apartment complex behind the center where they are located. Their prices were not clearly posted, and I received attitude from the girl working the counter when I asked if the final bill was a mistake. I asked why it was so much and she said it was because of the «great quality they provide.» I just laughed. I wish I would have Unilocaled them before I went here. BEWARE!

Wish I would’ve read these reviews and saved myself the cash and frustration. The shop doesn’t foreclose they charge you a fortune for dry cleaning, 6 pieces for $ 60, you kidding me? DO NOT spend your hard earned money at this place, they took me for a ride, don’t let them take you. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Crooked shop, stay away. Demanded $ 87 when I came to pick up my THREE PIECES today!!! Their justification was that the small pleather trim on my inexpensive dress required professional leather cleaning! Complete BS. Would they not have called or alerted me when I dropped my clothes off that a special process was required for the 2 inch trim? And it wasn’t even leather! Had to pay $ 70 to rescue my clothes, which included my favorite suit or I would have left them there! Never never never never again. Irvine Company, get a reputable dry cleaner in this space.

Wow! $ 33 for my suit and dress to be dry cleaned… I should’ve done my homework and read reviews of this place first, but since I frequent this mall I thought it’d be easiest to come here. That was a bit pricey for what I wanted.

Please listen to these reviews and go somewhere else. I was in a pinch for time and this happened to be the closest dry cleaner to me so I went and I regret it.
$ 47 for 3 items: pants, short sleeve button up shirt and my wife’s blouse.

I dropped off two dress skirts and two shirts and it cost me $ 70! I thought they were kidding and asked if they meant $ 17. After paying the bill I asked (nicely) why it was so expensive and got a completely rude response. It wasn’t a rush order and even if it was how do you charge someone that much? Needless to say I have been going elsewhere for my dry cleaning. What a ripoff!

I’ve been through a dozen dry cleaners (easily) in Irvine and Newport. I used to live by this place but when I moved, I figured they wouldn’t pick up and deliver to my new area which is easily 15 miles for them.
I did the Al Philips (aka get your clothes back more smelly than when you dropped them off — 4 of the facilities in fact), the My Favorite Cleaners bla bla bla.
I finally went in here and asked (pleaded?) with them to please come to my house once a week and they agreed.
Yes they are expensive but every time they’ve called asking me something they’ve always been polite.
Yes I have high bills from them but when I leave items that have small tears or small damage they fix it and they don’t charge (case in point — my favorite skirt was left out a week ago with a small tear in the front — it was returned with the tear mended.)
These guys seem to really care about looking carefully at your garments before just tossing them into whatever chemicals go into the cleaning process. I gave them a white Chanel dress that Al Phillips turned light yellow and they fixed it to its original white.
Pros: meticulous, great service, clothes are in good hands

I just picked up 4 pairs of pants and a shirt and my bill was $ 85!!! Are they serious…$ 10.50 to dry clean a paid of pants? Maybe if their HANDWRITTEN sign «displaying» the prices was a little more clear I wouldn’t have gone there in the first place!
I will stick with my dry cleaner, who comes to my office twice a week and only charges $ 3.00 for ANY item.

I think the coupon I received in the mail for this dry cleaners actually raised my bill 20%… Yes, the reviews speak for themselves. I had only seem the Google reviews and recently moved just down the street so I was really hoping this place was ok because Celebrity Green Cleaners is astronomically priced as well. Could be a simply supply and demand for the demographic of this more affluent area or perhaps Celebrity Green and Newport North made a pact to rape and pillage the residents in need of dry cleaning.
Yes, it’s expensive. The service feels hostel and like I’m being taken advantage of. I actually felt like Dr. Indiana Jones trying to navigate my way through financial booby traps and get out of there as quickly as possible. I judged that book cover and it rang sour for me. I appreciated that they’re keeping their system low-​tech with no computers and ticket system from the 1960s.
I’ll drive out of my way to the cleaners in Eastside Costa Mesa off 17th St & Orange Ave from now on.
