I usually get my lashes done through a Groupon or online deal but a girlfriend of mine got me a gift card here so I tried it out. I do like that you are in your own little room, I fall asleep every time and usually snore, so it’s nice that no one sees me. I also like that unlike other salons I have been to the glue here never seems to burn my eyes when I open them if it is not fully dried at the end.
On the downside this place is a bit pricier, although not by much, and the lashes don’t seem to last that long. I’d say I’m looking for a touch up every 3 weeks as opposed to every 5 – 6 at places with the intense glue.
All in all I recommend this place for a set of pretty lashes for any occasion.

Do not come here! It has only been 7 days and my lashes have all fallen off but 6. Immediately after I left, I returned five minutes later because there were gaps in between lashes and my lashes were uneven. I went back and they looked at it and I was told it was just the way lashes are. I have gotten lash extensions before and have never had issues. She also glued them a few mm away from my lash line. The staff including the esthecian were super sweet and friendly. However, for lashes, I would not recommend coming here. I am actually at a different lashes salon, my old one, to fix my lashes/​get a new set after just 7 days of getting an entire new set at Lashest. I was excited to try Lashest as it is near my new work. For a high reviewed place, I am so upset. She glued multiple lashes on one lash and the glue was gunky. She glued multiple lashes to on of my real lashes. My real lashes broke off. I would not recommend it to anyone. Also, I was early to my appointment… and they didn’t take me in till 20 minutes AFTER my appointment time. Waste of time and money. I really hope they fix this and no one has to go through what I went through– this was the worst lash experience ever. DO NOT come here! Save your lashes, time, and money!

I have been coming to Lashest Eyelash Extensions (formerly know as Raffine) since May of 2014. Since it has been over a year, I thought an update would be helpful. I come every 4 weeks for a touch-​up. Akiko has been doing my lashes since the beginning, and I look forward to each visit because my lashes look flawless, beautiful and natural each time. At Lashest, they are very thoughtful in regard to the health of your natural lashes, which is so important. They maintain a chart on your lash applications, and I think that shows how professional and detailed oriented they are. I am highly recommending Lashest because they have been consistently amazing.

Really bad experience here. I asked for dramatic lashes and I chose the highest level of every option she gave me, and then after she told me those options werent the most extreme and you can add more lashes.
I did not know and I assumed a eyelash place would be the exact place to tell me this information!
After an hour and getting the chemical in my eye and having weird red painful veins pop out, i look and i see nooo difference in my lashes. And i tell the girl at the front and instead of doing anything to make me feel better her suggestion is that they «tear off one side to compare with what I had before» and then she said I can come by in two hours and theyd add on more for $ 1 per lash. Thats crazy? Its 120 $ for 120 lashes. I left totally unhappy and feeling like i wasted my first eyelash experience at this annoying place. On the drive home i saw lash dollz and I went in hoping they can fix my horrible eyelashes. They said its 170 $ and they dont even count each lash they will just give me the look I want and put as many on as possible. And for dramatic theyd put 90 per eye. I was given 60 per eye here at raffine after saying I want dramatic several times. WHATEVER. annoying experience. I think the girl I spoke to at raffine was the owner. She really had no place in this business she was super rude too. She didnt seem like she cared about the customer at all she just wanted to get the most money out of you for the least amount of product from her and I know thats life but it really showed in her rude antics and just made for a really uneasy uncomfortable and sad vibe.
Stay away… Pay a little more, go to lash dollz. Youll get exactly what you want each time from much nicer ladies, there is music… Its fun… Nice… Lash dollz just kept saying theyd help me out and hook me up with what I want it felt nice. At raffine I just was given the exact opposite of what I wanted and basically kicked out. Rude.

I would give this place 0 stars. Their customer service is a HORRIBLE! I tried to make an appointment to get a lash touch up and they turned down my business over the phone. Don’t even bother calling if you have eyelashes from another place. I was going to give them my business and they told me to wait until all my lashes fell out or take them off and then go in for a full set.

I went to have my eyelash extension done today. I’m very satisfied with their service. Sasha did my eyelash, she is great. Their eyelash’s quality is good, really don’t feel anything on my eyes. I went to so many places before, they are the best.

Chic place, clean lines, and great customer service. The lashes do fall out fairly quickly —It’s a special-​occasion treat for me /​/​they do have the best & most natural lash treatments out there. Miss them hehe.

My experience with lash extension has been horrible until i found this place. They’re now called «Lashest» as the previous review stated.
I had extension twice before. Both times the technicians were untrained and did it incorrectly. They put too much glue and too close to my eyelids. They were so imprecise and clearly did not know what the proper techniques of lash extension. My eyelids were so irritated. Lash extension when done right should not touch your eyelids or make them itchy or irritated.
I did a little more research this time and stumbled upon my pretty friend’s (Trisha H) review of «Raffine». So i gave it a try. Very glad i did.
I called them on Friday around 12pm and the receptionist was able to squeeze me in at 530pm same day. She also asked to book me for the new customer package and ask some questions over the phone regarding my experiences with extension, or did i have any extension on. Etc. She then informed me to be there early or else you’ll be charged. She got my credit card info as well.
This place was easily found since you could see it right from the street. There were plenty of parking. I went in and the receptionist (Diane?) gave me a forms with some questions to fill out. Then she went over with me the techniques, how many lashes, different lash styles. You can visit their website for more details.
I went with the 100 lashes, sexy style but i think i’ll do either the standard or glamorous next time and goes with a more curl (D curl instead of CC). Sasha was the technician that did my lashes. We went into this nice and clean room. She gave me a blanket and started working on my lash once we situated. She put this cool and soft eye pads underneath my eyes. This is a plus since other places use tapes which is horrible to stick on sensitive areas around your eyes.
During our session, i learned that she has been a lash technician for over 4 years. She was very gentle. We were done in a little less than 1 hr. When i finally get to see the extension, i love them. Sasha did such an exceptional job. Her technique in such intricate work truly amazes me every time i look at the lashes. They were put in so precisely that they blended in with my natural lashes perfectly. The lashes are also so light that it feels like i have nothing on.
Highly recommend this place for someone who wants lash extensions done right. Sasha you go girl!

they are called «lashest» now and have changed their eyelash fill in policy, making it more expensive. of course i’m disappointed but I COMPLETELY understand. i used to wonder how they turned a decent profit if an hour long touch up appointment of 40 lashes was only 45 dollars? each technician can only do 7, maybe 8 clients a day. with an average cost of 75 a person times 7, do the math. that’s not a lot at all to keep a fancy salon in a high rent area in the black. they obviously figured out they weren’t charging enough. so yeah, it’s more expensive now, but i have to think of it as i was getting a bargain the past 3+ years. how some people call this poir customer service is beyond me. you definitely get what you pay for. due to illness recently my appt was cancelled and i HAD to get a fill in before a long trip. sooooo, i cheated on lashest (1^st and only time, i swear!) with another place and man, can you tell and never again!

Used to be my favorite place, but anymore.
I have been going this place over 3years. They changed system from this April.
Used to be each $ 1, now cost is $ 85 if you come over 28days.
So I asked her that «how many did you take extensions on my eyelash“After finished.
She just answerd to me about total number. But I knew how many extensions I left on my eyelash before I come here. I counted at my house.
She said to me it’s total 114 extensions. I was little bit confused at that time.
She should anser about how many took new extensions right?!
I realize after I back home,
Total 114 extensions, that mean she took only 58 new extensions. That’s it!!!
I paid $ 85 plus 20%tip for 58 eyelash extensions!
That’s such a Lip off!!!
I’m gonna find new place.

Worst customer service. I started going there since they opened, and it was a lovely, good quality salon.
Now, in order to get your touch ups done, you have to come exactly within 28 days or whatever their criteria is, otherwise have to do a full set.
Way to go with your customer service!

This place is clean, quiet and the ladies are courteous.
I always get the sexy style, initial $ 120 for both eyes and $ 75 touch ups every 2 – 3 weeks. My lashes look gorgeous right after the touch ups and they usually start to fall off like a week after the treatment. (I use non oil based make up remover)
Be aware that your original lashes will fall off WITH the fake lashes over the time. This happened to me and majority of my lashes were gone so I had to stop getting extension for about 3 months.
Also, pricepoint is higher compared to other places so if you’re on a tight budget, you might want to find a different place. There are few other places in costa mesa and Irvine area with Japanese technician ladies that are at a lower pricepoint.

–Soothing music/​nature sounds are played in the background while you get your lash application
–Clean facility
The lash techs here will never do too much to my lashes, they do everything in their power to give me what I want! This is especially helpful since I have tiny lashes and I don’t want to break them.

This place is awesome, clean and affordable. They are also experienced enough to tell you what is best for your lashes. This place is not a gaudy lash place. If you want refined, elegant and classy lashes, this place is great. I get mine every 3 weeks for more than a year now. Relatively affordable for fills, usually $ 40 – 65 every 3 weeks. Saves so much time with makeup. I barely use makeup now. Everyone is good there but I like Akiko. She is honest and won’t charge you for more than you need. You can’t go wrong with anyone of them.

UPDATED REVIEW:
During my 2^nd visit (a touch up) and some additional consultation, I added more lashes for a total of 130. This time I was SUPER careful in how I washed my face, and how I took my eye makeup off (oil-​free remover and Q-​tips). I also used the lash brushes Raffine provided a bit more frequently to dust off any particles and keep my lash glue from getting clumped. The results were much much better this time! After 1 MONTH a majority of my lashes stayed on!
Only concern is price. My initial full set of 100 lashes cost $ 100.00 & my touch up cost $ 75.00. Raffine’s 1^st Time customer incentives are great and their Pre-​paid gift cards are even more amazing, but for those on a tight budget, this cosmetic luxury may not fit your financial plan. However, the value for dollar in comparison to other eyelash salons is extremely worth it. Perhaps some frequent customer coupons will be released soon which will make it even more worthwhile!
Hence, if you’re looking for a clean, well managed, serene, high-​quality, consultative, natural style, and overall luxurious experience… Raffine is hands down a wonderful retreat. I highly recommend Ms. Yuka who is fast, efficient, careful, friendly and sweet!
I’ll be making my 3^rd appointment soon and cannot wait!

I’ve never had eyelash extensions before, but upon reading reviews, I chose this salon called Raffine! I opted for 100 total lashes and took the advice of the front desk receptionist/​check-​in specialist regarding length & curl specs. She was very sweet and very informative. Then a technician by the name of Ms Yuka took me to a private room and applied my extensions with care and ease. It took about 1 hr and my eyelashes looked fabulously pretty and quite natural! A wonderfully painless visit and everyone I encountered was extremely kind and informative. I asked a lot of questions such as post application maintenance and again the ladies were very helpful. This was exactly 10 days ago.
I called the salon today to schedule a possible «touch up» appt, mainly due to the fact that — from what I can tell, (bc it’s really hard to count how many lashes u have remaining after 1^st application) it seems about 40/​40% of my original 100 lashes may have fallen off. As stated, I’m not sure if I counted correctly, whether this is normal, or if it’s due to my lash cycle being more frequent, but either case I made a 2^nd appt for touch up with the same technician, Ms Yuka for April 2^nd.

I first heard about Raffine through my good friend when I noticed how beautiful and long her lashes were. I had to ask and she told me she gets them done at Raffine. (Don’t you love when your pretty friends share their secrets?) I actually had gotten extensions before and was so dissatisfied with the results that I was turned off on the idea for a long time. My friend assured me that this place knows what they are doing.
I made my appointment (this is not a walk-​in type of place) with Ms. Yuka because of all her positive reviews. Unilocal never steers me wrong, I was completely satisfied with the service that was provided to me. I’ve been to Raffine about 6 times and every time I book with Ms.Yuka. She is the sweetest. She lets me relax and doesn’t talk my ear off. She is a perfectionist about her craft and I’ve been pleased with the result every single time.
To get started, you go through a consultation with the receptionist who explains all of your options. You customize everything to your liking (eyelash style, thickness, curl, length and amount of lashes) I personally get the sexy style, .15mm thickness, C curl, 11 mm 12mm 13 mm length and 100 lashes total for both eyes. The options are listed on the website so you can familiarize yourself with them before you go in. It’s awesome that they give you so many choices. They will also give you suggestions if you are completely lost on what you want. Over time, you will find your personal taste and see what works for you. At first I started with the classic style which I liked but now I go with the sexy style. It is so friggin pretty.
The overall experience is relaxing and everyone is pleasant. They offer refreshments (soda, tea and water bottles). They also have easy access parking lot and a very clean restroom. If you come here often like I do, it is worth it to get the pre-​paid card. You load the card with cash ahead of time and they deduct a certain amount depending on how much you put on there. Save money where you can especially since these services aint cheap!
Extensions do require maintenance. If you are an eye rubber like me, it can be very hard sometimes to refrain from rubbing your eyes when they become irritated. Also the eyelash comb they give you is very useful. You’re supposed to comb through your lashes after you get out of the shower. I also do a quick blow dry of them facing up for about 20 seconds. This helps them dry faster and prevents the glue from loosening. Also if you are using an oil based makeup remover, stop. LOL. This will for sure loosen the glue and the extensions will come out. I recommend trying the Koh Gen Do cleansing water. It’s gentle and effective at removing stubborn eye makeup without ruining your lashes. Overall, the money and maintenance is worth having beautiful lashes. I rarely wear eye makeup anymore unless I’m going out at night.

I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I’ve been getting my eyelashes done from Yuka at Raffine Eyelash Extensions. She’s still the girl to go to. Yuka is always so gentle, I fall asleep regardless of what I’ve been doing the night before or earlier that day. I catch myself snoring sometimes and I try my best not to fall too deep into sleep but sheesh, it’s like getting a massage without the hurt (I’m really sensitive). I get mine done to look natural so 3 mm longer from my natural lash length with the C curve. I get compliments all the time still. It takes about 3 – 4 weeks for me to lose about ½ — ¾ of my lashes depending on what I’ve been doing those few weeks (going out and wearing fake eyelashes). I only have to refill about 40 – 50 lashes each time total meaning 20 – 25 lashes per eye. So you see why it’s worth it for me to come back each month to refill.
I also take care of my lashes by using an eye foam cleanser that I get where I use to work. It is a no tear foam cleanser that I get at the Optometry Office I use to work at. Knowing the purpose of eyelashes, I know how filthy they can get protecting your eyeballs from dirt and dust so I clean them gently with the foam cleanser. You can also use Johnson and Johnsons Baby Shampoo, which is also No Tears, but you have to lather it up first before applying.
I also don’t wear eye makeup so I’m not constantly rubbing my eyes to take off make up. But I do occasionally wear make up when I go out so I stick with oil-​free eye make up remover and wipe with a Q-​tip.
My mornings always just start with moisturizer and sunblock, ever since I started getting these done.
I don’t know what I’d do without Yuka, Raffine, and my eyelashes!

The service and attention to detail were both very impressive. They took the time to explain the various eyelash lengths and thicknesses. The technician took a long time to apply the 100 lashes that were part of the Unilocal deal (the only reason of 4 stars instead of 5). I had gotten my lashes done at a less expensive salon before, but it caused my eyes to burn during the application, and they felt heavy. These lashes felt very natural, and my eyes didn’t burn or feel irritated during or after the application.
The individual lashes looked so natural and were just perfect for my vacation. Next time, I will go for 150 lashes for more fullness, but I would definitely return — it’s a relaxing environment, professional service and a quality result.

I came across Raffine by using Unilocal.I decided to try this place out because although my experience and results from my trip to Beyond Beauty Lashes was good, I felt it could have been better. I called about a week ahead of my most recent Vegas trip in August. They were able to schedule me in at around 3 in the afternoon the Saturday before I was supposed to leave. They were even kind enough to give me a call the day before to remind me of my appointment!
Anyways, the day I got there, i got a bit lost, so I called the shop to let them know I was lost and trying to find it and if they could help me. The receptionist was kind enough to come out of the shop to try and find me while I was driving along the shopping center. Too kind.
Once I got in, she welcomed me and I filled out the necessary paperwork, and she introduced me to the technician who was going to be working with me. I totally forgot what her name was, but she was so nice! She went through all the kinds of different lashes that she could do and gave me her recommendation.
After the consultation, she lead me to the room, which was so clean and comfortable and she got started. She didn’t really talked to me, but I didn’t mind since I was pretty tired and falling asleep anyways.
They give you an estimate on how long it’ll take for the technician to put on the lashes ahead of time, so they said it would take about an hour to an hour and a half. Since I still had lashes on from a different lash shop, they had to take those off for me first. I ended up leaving the shop at like 5:15. I was super tired by the end, but completely happy with the results. The tech made my lashes look very natural and they didn’t criss-​cross at all, unlike the results from the other lash shop. Since I was a first time customer, I was able to get a $ 10 discount, but since I did have to pay an extra fee since they had to remove lashes from another shop. I didn’t mind though.
My lashes lasted well over a month — approximately six weeks! They were getting a bit clumpy towards the end and I simply started to just carefully pull them off. Haha, I shouldn’t have, but I did. Oh, well. They lasted a long time and they looked good til the end. The prices were expected, but the quality and service was awesome. I love how they keep in touch with you after, as in keeping you updated on what’s going on and sending out specials as well. I would definitely come back again to get my lashes done here.
