I come here(nearly) every morning. I use the mobile order option to make it quick & easy. I recommend utilizing that option, especially during the busy early morning hours.

Great service, hands down. The staff really goes out of their way to get your order done right and quickly, even when it’s busy. You can tell they really appreciate servicing you and enjoy their job.

This is one fun Starbucks. The atmosphere is upscale and relaxed and the customers and Baristas are engaging and full of personality. Grab a cup and hang with the beautiful people of Newport Beach. You’ll find everything from soccer moms catching a break to students studying to executives working megadeals. The people watching is second to none ;)

This is the best starbucks i have ever been too. The baristas are all invested and enthusiastic. They love their customers and many of them are super attractive. Definitely ask about their reserve coffees! They’re delicious

When you need a break from all the Starbucks away from school, this is the place to go. I mean, yeah you do have a Coffee Bean across the street, but sometimes you feel like Starbucks. The ones on campus are really long. The one on Campus in the Albertsons plaza? Don’t even think about it. You just want to get away from school, enjoy your time, enjoy life. This is the place to go. The parking here is pretty easy. When you’re walking in, there aren’t too many people, they have the same deals as well. I went in for BOGO Holiday Drinks for their peppermint mocha, and mhm :3 They are even quick to make drinks and they aren’t watered down yay :3 There’s a restroom on the side, nice music, smooth, relaxing, chill. This is a nice place to study if you just wanna get away from the school setting… and be oh so close to it as well.

This location can get crowded, and the seats are generally full, but the WiFi is great. The staff have their act together too. Lines move quickly, unlike some other area locations. Agree w/Jenn R.‘s review. Free Wifi and outdoor seating by the Baskin Robbins if there’s no seating available. The Wifi is not as good, but works.

I think I’m long overdue for a review of this Starbucks. I’ve been going on an almost daily basis since the day they opened. Anyone remember when this location was dreadful Tully’s? So Starbucks is Starbucks… Usual selection, good healthy-ish food at a premium price, chain coffee, etc. But this is one of the Clover brew locations. It’s not my job to tell you what clover brewed coffee is, it’s theirs, so go try a reserve for yourself! This and the few other Orange County locations with the clover have made me a bit of a Starbucks snob when I’m not in a drive-to-Keans/Portola kind of mood. I’ve worked in Newport Beach for years and know how the clientele is, ridiculously demanding duck faces and d-bags. And they only get more demanding when it comes to their money or their morning coffee. The baristas handle the DFs and DBs with a good attitude while powering through the line. Five stars for service here. And agave nectar packets. It does get insanely busy on weekends and is usually packed with students, lifestyle bloggers and the regulars camped out so seats aren’t usually available. Grab your coffee to go or take advantage of the outdoor seating in this plaza by the donut shop!

SOAPYTASTINGICEDCHAI — FILTHYCOUNTERTOPS — LAZYSTAFF — This is by far the most disgusting Starbucks I have ever been to. Chai tea tasted soapy, got it replaced, took 1 second and 2nd one tasted the same. Turns out they use a pre-mixed vat that they pour from all day long, which is unlike any other Starbucks I’ve frequented. I finally asked for a refund. Staff acted like this was no big deal and all in a day’s work. I did not want to hang around as every table and countertop was filthy, with used tea bags, spillage, dirty cups, straws and napkins all over. The staff apparently does no cleaning or wiping of the surfaces. The place was filthy dirty and obviously unsanitary. I clearly WILLNOTBEBACK.

It is Starbucks. I felt compelled to write a review for this location of Starbucks as it has become my defacto coffee spot thanks to its proximity to my old office and if I have a review up for Peet’s in Westpark, it is only right to have one up for this location of Starbucks in the Bluffs. Although this feels a lot like making a McDonald’s review. Well, I suppose I will start by saying the crowd is high on the douche bag spectrum. I would call it douche factor 5, which is a full blown case. Somehow the employees are able to stomach this daily and still provide exemplar service with a smile. Even when the line(or as I like to call it, the«DB Conga») is long they churn right through it effortlessly. I applaud that. Plus they make my Non Fat Skinny Vanilla Latte without fault or judgement. What I really love about this particular Starbucks is that I frequently stop in with a co-worker named Cindy and one of the Baristas is convinced her name is Sydney. Every time he writes«Sydney» on her cup I refer to her as Sydney throughout the rest of the workday which mildly irritates(if not completely annoys) her and confounds others. Without this Starbucks the game of «Frustrated Sydney» could never have existed. I love this location for that. Thank you Starbucks!

I’m not sure what’s up with the reviews saying the staff here are rude, but that has NEVER been my experience, and I’ve come at hours from 6am through close(including morning rush). Even if they’re slow or don’t realize there’s a drink up, they’re really good about making it up and getting it right. As we all know, the Starbucks app is buggy as hell these days, so when I owed additional money and couldn’t get the app to reload my card, these guys straight made up the difference out of their own tip jar. You know who wouldn’t have done that? Rude staff. Best believe I went to my car, grabbed cash and gave ‘em more than what they covered. Don’t listen to the people who say the staff are rude. I call bullshit on that. P. S. These guys have never burned the coffee — which is so rare at a Starbucks.

Came here on a Monday night to get some studying done and I’m very impressed by their customer service. Unlike other noisy Starbucks, this one has a calmer atmosphere with not too much chit chat. The supervisor on duty seems to know every customer by name and he puts in the effort to personally greet them goodbye when they leave. In terms of cleanliness, the workers are nonstop cleaning here, which is great. *Thumbs up*

Come here quite regularly to study. The tables are small and not a lot of space, but their coffee is fantastic. Baristas are friendly, refills are given with green/gold card. Place is well kept and clean. It can get pretty crowded during lunch hours with employers around the UCI area, but nevertheless drinks are delivered quickly. This place isn’t as crowded as the other 2 starbucks location near the UCI campus(the one near albertsons and the one on-campus). This is one of the 4 starbucks location(near Irvine) with the clover machine. Those 11,000 $ machines that pump out delicious, smooth coffee that match up to hipster cafes, they are also stocked with the starbucks reserve coffee beans that changes every so often, allowing you to try some unique beans/blends. Pros: * Clover machine is legit * Clean, well kept place * Condiments station well stocked. * Opens Mon-Sun 6 am — 9:30 pm, basically all day, everyday. * Not a lot of people use the wifi, hence their wifi is very fast.(Google wifi too!) Cons: * Small & few tables. Sometimes it’s hard to get tables to study.

Wow. Possibly the worst service I have ever received at a Starbucks. The entire staff was incredibly rude. We went in to get a few coffees and there were two people at the register and nobody making drinks. One customer was purchasing some miss and tumblers and the staff were clearly struggling with her order. The manager finally came out from the back, and instead of starting on our drinks, she decided to stock the shelves with the mugs and tumblers that the one customer decided she didn’t want. Unbelievable!!! I finally went up to the register after about 10 minutes and asked if anyone was going to start on our drinks. I was told that someone else would make them and«she’s really fast so don’t worry». We and 3 other customers waited roughly 10 minutes just for someone to start to work on making drinks. There was no «sorry for the wait» or anything. When I finally got my drink, it was literally 75% foam(I got a white mocha). I asked the manager who was at the bar to remake it and she just took the drink and said nothing. When she finished remaking my drink, she put it on he counter and said«here». I am astonished at how bad my experience was. I will be going out of my way just to avoid this location that is located just a few blocks away from where I live.

I found myself in Newport Beach yesterday(12-02-2013) for a business meeting. I had planned on traffic along the way and when that did not happen I had time to search out a local Starbucks. Lucky for me I found a Starbucks within a block of where my meeting was going to take place. This Starbucks is located in a large strip mall on the corner Bison Ave & MacArthur Blvd. I arrived shortly before the lunch crowd arrived and had no troubles finding parking. I will say be careful when driving in and out of the parking lot of this Starbucks, it is located right next to a Gas Station and I observed several accidents almost take place within a 5 minute timespan. I parked and walked inside and immediately you could tell you are in Newport Beach. This Starbucks is quite fancy. This Starbucks is pretty large inside and when I say this Starbucks was immaculate would be an understatement. This Starbucks at the time of my visit was almost empty. The staff working was on the ball. I ordered my ‘San OB’ and received my drink within maybe 30 seconds. I asked for my packets of organic ‘agave’ syrup and received them no problem. I walked over to the condiment section was pleased to see that the condiment section was stocked fully. I was surprised to see that this Starbucks had packets of ‘honey’ in the condiment section. I have visited quite a few Starbucks in my day and I have never seen that before. To me it is the little things that add up to big things. This Starbucks like others I have visited within the last few weeks is fully stocked with Christmas displays and prepackaged gifts. If it is a warm day this Starbucks does offer a large outdoor seating area which include benches, tables & chairs all of which is non-smoking. If and when I am back in the area I will without question come back here.

Such a beautiful store! Super close to my school, good place to study. It’s fairly new as well. They have a clover machine, which is an upside down French press that single brews by the cup, freshly grounding whichever beans! It’s such a cool machine!
