I was in a very bad accident in January of 2010. You can see what my car looked like if you visit their Facebook Page, it’s the cover photo. I was hit by a City of Huntington Beach ambulance that ran a red light with NO light or sirens heading on a non-​medical emergency call. I sustained sever neck and back injuries and was taken to Hoag Hospital. I was referred to Roger and Ryan Tomalas and they realized that they were going to have a fight on their hands when they heard it was a city vehicle. And it was a fight, of almost 2 years. Every step of the way I was informed of what was going on and the steps that were being taken to help me. The length of the case was NOT due to the Tomalas Law Firm, it was push back from the City of Huntington Beach.
When my case did finally settle, the Tomalas Law Firm not only got me a great settlement, they also negotiated with my doctors to get my bills reduced so I could get the maximum from my settlement.

From my initial contact with Roger Tomalas, right up until the completion of my case, I was the recipient of proficient and courteous legal services. I was updated with each step of the process and his firm made a difficult situation bearable.

My 4 year old son and i had the misfortune to get front ended while sitting at a red light in my pick up truck. My son went to the hospital and i was injured, which over time got worse. My insurance agent had an adjustor call me who was asking alot of questions that seemed to protect their interests, which spooked me. Did a google search and YP on line and called several accident attorneys. Left messages with staff or on machines. No call backs. did second search, found the Tomalas law firm. The office person told me i would get a call in 20 minutes, and Ryan Tomalas called me back. He spent about 30 minutes on the phone and accommodated my schedule and had me come in the next day.
Long story short, the guy who hit me didn’t have very much insurance, my insurance company was fighting me every step of the way, and my medical insurance was hounding me because they didn’t want to pay.
I don’t know how i got so lucky to find Ryan on a internet search, but i’m glad i did. Ryan and his father worked on my case and were on top of it every step of the way. They were able to fix the issues with my medical insurance, settle with the other insurance carrier and successfully negotiate a excellent settlement with my insurance company. (i had uninsured/​underinsured motorist coverage.) Thank god!

I really enjoyed working with the legal team on my case. They did a phenomenal job in getting me medical assistance and getting my case settled in a timely fashion. Mr. Ryan Tomalas has done an excellent job representing me in a serious car accident. My car was deemed destroyed in the collision, which was not my fault. The police report confirmed this.
Mr. Tomalas, whom I’d spent a decent amount of time with chatting prior to proceeding with his representation, works with his father, who specializes in the same area of law. Together, they’ve had decades of experience practicing law in and around Newport Beach, California.
If I’m not mistaken, personal injury (including auto collision) is the Tomalas Law Firm specialty. I found Ryan to be extremely well-​informed on all matters concerning collisions, including but not limited to, health insurance, car insurance, medicine, physical therapy, property damage, etc.
Throughout the reconciliation process with the opposing insurance company, Ryan and his coworkers have proven themselves to be intelligent, prompt, informed, courteous and thorough.
Incidentally, I have had family members who have had similar car accidents (unfortunately), and their attorneys, who had experience covering similar areas, didn’t perform nearly as well.

This guy is possibly the worst attorney I have ever encountered.
When my wife and my stepson (then 10) were rear ended in his school zone, they both had whiplash like injuries. Roger was referred by my wife’s then manager. It was clear throughout the case that Roger was attempting to settle this without having to put in a lot of work — he was busy planning a family wedding and didn’t really want to dedicate the time to my wife’s case. He apparently doesn’t understand filing motions as instead of filing a motion for a continuance he just showed up in court and asked the judge for a continuance because he had «family matters» to attend to. Of course the judge chastised him for his lack of protocol. I knew right then we were in trouble and sure enough as Mercury insurance continued to play hardball, Roger kept urging my wife to settle for less than her medical bills amounted to once his fee was deducted. Of course she refused and reluctantly he took the case to trial where he failed to convince a jury to award enough of a settlement to take care of all medical expenses.
We weren’t looking for Perry Mason here, but man this guy is a terrible attorney.

I have been lucky to work with the Tomalas firm during the last couple of years, and I can’t speak highly enough of them. They are a refreshing change from many personal injury attorneys that I have come into contact with. They are aggressive in pursuing claims and really go the extra mile for their clients.
