Fields Dance Studio was founded in 1936 by Mary Morrissey Fields. She shared her love of dance not only with her students, but also with her son and daughter-​in-​law. They continued with the tradition, and passing on to thier daughters. This family owned studio is the longest running studio on the peninsula with students that have gone on to Broadway, Off-​Broadway, college for dance, touring companies, and more.

We cater to the recreational dancer, the pre-​professional dancer, and the competitive dancer.

Fields Dance Studio was founded in 1936 by Mary Morrissey Fields. She shared her love of dance not only with her students, but also with her son and daughter-​in-​law. Meet the Manager

Cindi F.

Manager

Cindi Fields has been teaching dance for over 25 years. Her parents, Judi and Ernie Fields, own the studio, where she grew up dancing.

After graduating from Furguson High School, she continued her dance eduction at Old Dominion University and Virginia Commonwealth University. After college, she came back to Newport News to continue the dance legacy that has been passed down from her grandmother.

With a passion for dance and a love of teaching, she enjoys seeing her students succeed and preps them for college and career. Dance is more than learning to move; it is enjoying life!
