Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt

Really nice people… really tasty froyo… the best I ever had you must try! They let you try anything you want which is awesome and they have tons of toppings to choose from! First time here will definitely be back!

Yogurt options are good. I’ve seen better topping selections though. Price is HIGH. :|

The flavors are nothing special but the bad part was how expensive it was! It was by no means worth 65 cents per ounce and the service was bad.

I don’t like to write reviews for chain restaurants, but this was an exception. There are many things I love froyo, the delicious tart flavors of the original froyo, the all you can sample machines, and the friendly services. Needless to say, this place had none of the above.
The server appeared to be very defensive, only offering 1 cup to each of us and then leaving before we could ask to try other flavors. The majority of my favorite flavors were half frozen and half melted, combining things I hate most about froyo. The cost, as always, is overpriced as usual, but worth it when you can feed it to someone you care about, but still expensive.

Although a good variety of flavors, employee told me I could not use the 20% off deal for checking in for the first time. She said I have to print it when the offer states right on the screen to show it to the owner or employee. Very disappointed, never had a problem at Beluga when I used the first check in deal.

Just went to Orange Leaf with my fiancé and we were helped by a young man named Maka (I asked his name, and how to spell it, I THINK this is what he told me) and he was SO helpful, kind and patient (we both felt the need to sample a few flavors). I could tell that he is young, and I think if he continues to work in this manner, he will be a very successful man! Thank you for making our experiance flawless!

Delicious and good service! We walked into this ORANGE store and were greeted by a lovely girl. I looked up the store on Unilocal and HOORAY! I got a 20% discount –Thanks Unilocal!They had I think 8 – 10 flavors from coconut to traditional vanilla. Tons of delicious toppings and the girl was very helpful. The store was really clean too. Sometimes those places get sticky. Not here!

I love this place. Best frozen yogurt I have ever had, and so many options! Less expensive than a lot of other frozen yogurt places I have been too. Friendly staff and it always seems to be open! You won’t be disappointed.

Nothing like delicious FroYo on a hot day or evening to cool you off. While it may be healthy, it never is for me (I’m always loading up on sweets to put in mine). A cool addition here is the rewards card and their military discount is excellent (definitely keeps me coming back). Make sure you check in when you are here for an extra discount!

My GF is the biggest froyo fan in the world, I just follow her from place to place. This is the first frozen yogurt place we have gone to which I want to return. The coffee and rootbeer float flavors were outstanding.
No bathroom is a big downer.

So yummy! Can sometimes have a line but hey it’s the middle of Newport. Always good, always fresh, great place to grab some yogurt and find a nice bench to enjoy it on.

Frozen yogurt is everywhere from where I’m from (Southern CA). But I found this place walking in downtown Newport and became very happy. It’s a bit pricey and is nothing compared to Pinkberry, Red Mango, or Yogurtland, but hey it’s frozen yogurt.

The only place opened for dessert after hours in the winter. The best surprise are the little things and this was it. They have the cutest little orange spoons that look like shovels.
The coffee and choc brownie with brownie topping was just right.
Their frequent card is based on dollars and not visits but who cares, still worth it.

If this is your first Orange Leaf, you will love it! 10 different froyo choices, a bunch of toppings, and all the whip cream you could ever want! However, if you have been to another Orange Leaf, say, the one in Warwick, this one will not be your favorite. The shop is clean, but small with limited seating. The girl working was very nice. There are not nearly as many choices as the other Orange Leaf’s, but you will not leave sad.

When the 85 degree sun is beating down on your neck, but your tourist mind is set on exploring the depths of Thame street, Orange leaf, is like a beacon in your view. For fourtysome cents an ounce, this DIY froyo place allows for a quick refreshment of your soul and taste buds without emptying your wallet and wasting too much minutes on your ticking parking meter. Why it is called Orange Leaf… I have no clue, maybe because their spoons look look like an orange leaf. :shrugs: all that really matters, is that the froyo is amazing.
here is a brief rundown of the flavors
SpoonBerry: Blue. Up until today, i have absolutely NO idea what spoonberry is. it tastes like a combination of Artificial Coloring and Leftover Gum. I do not recommend.
Peach: juicyyyyyyyy ju-​sayyyyyy. tastes like the froyo version of those japanese candies if ya know what i mean.
chocolate: Not too creamy, but what can you expect from yogurt? Better than Yogurtland’s Chocolate flavor
Tart: absolutely amazing. Hint Tart + any fruit will always be bomb.
Cheesecake: not too cheesy you are like ick. enough to signal the cheese neurons in your brain
Wedding cake: rich creamy cake batter… in yogurt texture? YOU GOT IT. My favorite flavor thus far.
Blueberry: ’nuff said.
now you must be wondering whether I got all of the above flavors together in one bowl? The answer is yes.
As it melted, my bowl turned into a soupy colorf*cuk.

Great customer service (even w/​its serve yourself machines) but the frozen yogurt here is not nearly as good, and verges on sickeningly sweet (esp. Wedding Cake, the Newport chain’s best seller). I’d pass this place up for Pinkberry or regular ice cream.

Orange Leaf stands out because it’s got a more colorful, welcoming (although very little) seating area and the staff is able to go outside and reel in some customers. Same flavors and options as many of the other froyo competitors but I did notice that it is CHEAPER than those places which is a giant plus in my book.
Plus the location is great because you’re right on Thames! As I stated before, there is little seating available but if you’re going to get some froyo and go Niagra-​Falls-​style on your toppings it’s probably best you walk it off on the street anyways.

Rhode Island has a zillion ice cream places, many of them excellent, but it definitely has a shortage of places to get good fro-​yo. So I was quite pleasantly surprised when I saw this Orange Leaf in Newport.
I am acquainted with Orange Leaf down in Florida so I was anxious to see how the one in Rhode Island compared. Turns out the places in Fl were larger and more organized but the one in Newport was still very nice.
I’m not sure what was here before Orange Leaf but you have to go down a few steps and then into a room that’s actually lower than the street. Ten different types of fro-​yo and the usually wet and dry toppings wait for you. Some tables and chairs inside and a few outside where you can sit and watch the Newport traffic go by while you eat your fro-​yo.
The place could still use a bit of tweaking because they were out of a few things but it definitely was the cool Orange Leaf fro-​yo that I was use to.
The young ladies working here were very perky, pleasant and acted like they loved selling fro-​yo more than anything in the world. I missed Orange Leaf when I left Florida, nice to see some really good fro-​yo in the city by the sea.
