The food was low quality and the price was unfair for what you get. I will never go back. And the three dollar soda is small.

Pretty sure the owner was drunk when we arrived to have breakfast at 10:00am. She was pretty chatty, which I don’t mind unless its complaining about the drug issues she has with her employees. The seafood omelet was good, but disappointing that she served it with imitation crab. The food was a bit oilier than it needed to be. Was accommodating with our request for real butter, which was nice.

Skip this place. I can’t tell you a thing about the food because we never even got to place an order. Their service on the other hand flat out sucks. I took my 3 kids here on a Sunday morning, we were the second table to be seated. A sweet young girl(maybe 10?) sat us, brought us menus, took drink orders and brought coloring books and crayons for my kids. She was awesome and deserves the only star this place got. After that, we watched the table seated before us order, then another table come in and be seated, get drinks from the kid just like us(an adult did take the food order) then nothing. 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15…20. Finally after 20 minutes we decided to leave. The table that had ordered hadn’t received their food, the table seated after us hadn’t had an order taken either. I’ve been a server in a restaurant and have always had a customer service mindset. With that, I know you can’t fix something if you don’t know what’s wrong. I also don’t believe in badmouthing or ditching a place without communicating with someone. I went and told the owner? manager? that we were leaving and had paid for the coffee my husband had, but that at a 20 minute wait time we had to go feed our kids. She whined at me that they were short handed. I told her I understood, and could have been more patient if anyone had ever come out to tell us what was going on but with no contact, we were leaving. She then got super pissy with me telling me she was sorry her staff didn’t feel like coming to work today. Super unprofessional. I admit, I took the bait and told her it wasn’t my problem and we left. My husband did give a tip to the girl who brought the crayons and coffee though, she was great. Sorry her family sucks.

Worst Food EVER!!! My girlfriend and I decided to give it a try since it wasn’t packed, now we know why! I ordered a Hamburger that had no flavor and my Girlfriend ordered Calm Chowder. Despite being across from the bay her chowder was made from a can and not fresh. The waitress looked pissed like she didn’t want to be there to work. It took her 15 minutes to serve us drinks before taking our lunch order. I STRONGLY recommend that you should skip this place. They won’t last long in the business.

FROZENFROZENFROZEN Don’t come here if you’re looking for fresh seafood! Keep Walking! Overpriced frozen seafood. Should have known NOT to order the shrimp when the waitress couldn’t tell me where the shrimp came from. But she said the chef was a fisherman and pointed to the bay. So we gave it a try. Wow, what a disappointment. The bay lined with fishing boats… a shrimp packing place DIRECTLY across the street — AND they serve FROZEN shrimp and clams. If I was in the mood for FROZEN«Van De Kamps» or «SeaPak» garb I would have bought a box from a convenience store for $ 6…I would NOT have paid $ 13 in a restaurant. What a shame! Ackkkk…I still have the taste of freezer burn in my mouth :-(

Rae Rae’s is a place to avoid. In the heart of Newport’s tourist trap bayside, RR looks like it might be a good food experience. That’s why my family stopped in for lunch during our tourist escapades. RR is overpriced with mediocre food quality and service. Ambience is dark north coast hippie wood cosmic zen. I had the clams and my wife had shrimp: both were deep fried Van de Camp style. Both tasted frozen, not fresh. Fries were alright, maybe frozen too? Our girls had BLTs, fries and lemonade Family of four lunch total for frozen seafoods and BLTs: $ 48! My wife was super disappointed, me too.

Good comfort food and selections for gluten free as well! The seafood chowder was great, lots of potato and spiced well. A nice change from endless seafood places along the marina. Nicely decorated and friendly folks.

We went here on Easter Sunday and tried the special: pork ribs, corn on the cob, beans, homemade biscuits, a huge salad, with carrot cake and pumpkin pie for dessert. Awesome, a lot of food, and a great price. This new place deserves many more diners. We will go back.

I think the waitress did great and earned her tip. However the portions of food were small and the prices were high. Our gang of six will not likely return, but we enjoyed trying it out.

We came in on a Friday afternoon, there was no one in there except us and one waitress, no music playing, very calm. So I’ll start there, the waitress didn’t really acknowledge us when we came in, but she came to our table promptly and asked us for our drink orders, she was super super shy — not really a great quality and she only checked in on us once when we were eating, but she was nice so there is definitely that! I was kind of nervous because they have a limited menu, just sandwiches, burgers, and a couple more items, but I ordered grilled ham and cheese on sourdough with French fries and it was freaking awesome. My other half ordered a cheeseburger with French fries and he said it was really great. I was incredibly impressed by the food. Since this is a new place all I would say for improvement is the customer service, play some background music, and get some more lighting in there! I’ll probably return next time I’m around.
