Sole Desire Footwear

I bought a pair of boots (uggs) a year ago for $ 200.0 and wore them for less than four months and I got a hole in them. I tried to reason with the sales person, who in turn called the owners, that a product expensive such as this had to last longer then a few months. The owners answer — was that the hole happened as a result of wear and tear and that it is time to get a new pair and that they are having sales now! Can you imagine this? I would not buy anything in this store because if the product turns out to be defective the owners will not help you to remedy the situation.

This store on one of Newport’s main shopping street was a crazy lifesaver … if, to save someone’s life, you need shoes for a wedding because you forgot to bring some. Then it’s a bonafied hero.
So to make a long story short, I needed shoes for a wedding and didn’t know where to go while I was in Newport waiting for said wedding. I was wandering this street before the rehearsal dinner when, low and behold, I found a shoe shop. A miracle!
This is a tiny store with a nice selection. Mostly women’s shoes, they do have a wall for guys as soon as you walk in. You’re going to find basically designer stuff here, but the prices aren’t as ridiculous as you think they might be in a shoe shop in Newport, RI. They even have great shoes on sale for half off with red dots on them, although these ones go quick and the amount they have in your size may be limited.
The staff was very friendly and got me my shoes quickly to try on. It’s a tiny store and there isn’t that much room to sit to test out your shoe, but just wait your turn and it will be fine.
All in all, a good store I was happy to check out … even if it was done out of last minute emergency.

I discovered this shop on a trip to Newport. There are so many stores, but the styles in the window were well chosen so I stopped in. The owner was very nice, just moved from NYC and brought a great sense of style with her. She carries a range of well priced stylish shoes– from Converse and Fit Flops to nice heels, boots, and fun wellies.
