Adrian is very professional and did a great job. We had trees that needed to be pruned, as well as some large dead branches that were hanging over our garage. He came and took care of both. He wasn’t just here to chop things down, he looked at the overall health of the trees and pruned to strengthen them and keep them looking beautiful. I can see why he calls the business An Artist’s Touch. They also left everything all cleaned up, even sweeping away the wood chips on the ground. At our request, he left us with a neat pile of wood to use for our fire pit. I highly recommend this business.

We recently hired An Artist’s Touch to do some major pruning at the house we purchased over the summer in Newton Centre. Adrian and his crew were extremely professional, responsive and helpful throughout the process. Adrian took the time to point out where they would be pruning and left our yard and patio cleaner than when they found it, even removing the large amount of acorns our tall oak trees had dropped. Communication was very good leading up to, during and after the job was completed. We would recommend An Artist’s Touch to anyone looking for quality work.

I cannot say enough about Adrian and his team at Artist’s Touch. They have done a fantastic job for me. First of all, Adrian couldn’t be nicer and goes out of his way to meet up with me, despite the very challenging work schedule I have. He is incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable and takes the time to explain exactly what he’s thinking about doing. I am embarking on a multi-​phased project on my home with him. So far, he and his team have cleared out by poorly planted and invasive species-​infested yard in preparation for fence placement and new planting and did an amazing job pruning the trees which were in terrible shape. The day I got home after they pruned, it was late afternoon and my house was filled with sunlight I’d never seen before inside my home. It was transformative as was how wonderful everything looked outside. It was one of the most dramatically impactful things I’ve done on my new home so far.
This spring, Adrian will be planting a whole new garden for me with trees, shrubs, and plants which I am very much looking forward to. The work he has done so far has truly been outstanding and his company has certainly lived up to the name «An Artist’s Touch.»

We have a a number of large trees, shrubs and hedges on our property. Called Adrian at Artistic Touch to assess the health and safety of the trees. He came by (twice!) to do walk throughs, discussed options with me and emailed a detailed quote. I organized this with him remotely as I live out of the area. All went well. They did a great job, emailed invoices (reasonable pricing). Will definitely use them in future.

They turned my overgrown yard into a place you really want to spend time in. Adrian is smart, competent, and has vision. If you simply want to rip trees down you could probably call any number of companies. If you want to transition what you have and plan a great looking space … Call Adrian. Adrian really knows his trees. He came out to our place this spring to prune a large plum tree that had been neglected for years before we bought our place. There were half-​broken branches from previous hurricanes, dead limbs, and otherwise unsightly sprouts that made the tree look like a mess.
In just a few hours, he had it looking great. He knew just where to prune to accentuate the tree’s natural form and reveal glimpses of the trunk. A week later, the tree blossomed and looked amazing. It was almost like an enormous bonsai.
He and his crew are also incredibly courteous, friendly, and tidy. They hardly left a trace – well, except for the now-​beautiful tree.

One of the reasons I fell in love with our backyard when we were buying our house was the presence of a lovely, old, old, old redbud tree. Unfortunately, our dear tree took the brunt of very cold winter temperatures, as well as compacted soil from heavy machinery –oh how I wish we had know this would hurt the tree!
When our tree showed signs of damage this spring (brittle branches, and leaves absent) I did a quick Unilocal search for an arborist in the Newton area and came upon An Artist’s Touch. Fortunately, just a week prior, I had noticed An Artist’s Touch truck and Adrian working on our neighbors trees. My confidence in reaching out to Adrian was further bolstered by the fact that our neighbor has absolutely gorgeous ornamental trees and a garden right out of a pinterest dream!
Within 24 hours of contacting him, Adrian came to our house, at a time which worked for our busy family life. He inspected the tree and provided his estimate of the time/​cost of the work. He worked with us to ensure we had a plan which would fit our budget. The following week, he arrived and took great care to ensure our beautiful red bud would have the best chance to survive! He assiduously pruned away branches which, had they been left in place would only serve to compete for the nutrients that the surviving branches needed. We also have a border of TALL (20 foot) upright yew bushes which also needed attention– they had grown scraggly, and unkempt because we do not have ladders to work at that height. Adrian’s partner, John worked, just as an artist would, to selectively prune away some of the overgrown, shaggy branches into a trim and importantly, very green privacy screen.
We couldn’t be happier with the service, care and attention that Adrian and John brought to our backyard.
I cannot complete this review without also pointing out how incredibly patient Adrian and John were with our enthusiastic 6 year old boy who wanted to help the grown-​ups with everything he could. Many people might brush off the interest of a young child, just to keep working, but instead, Adrian welcomed his efforts and let him contribute! Our little man filled a number of kid-​sized wheel-​barrows full of yew branches at a rate of $ 0.25 per load (parent set payrate). At the end of the day, Adrian handed our son a few dollars in cash to thank him for his contribution. How could we not just beam with pride and be so grateful for the kind attention that Adrian brought to our outdoor living space!

Adrian and John are professionals in every way. We cannot say enough about how thoughtfully they approached our needs and property. When they finished, our property looked so much better and they cleaned up everything in a blink! They are worth what they charge. Everyone on our street uses them — even those who have a hard time parting with their pennies! They are that good! My 5 ur old son loves to watch them too boot!

Adrian is an extraordinary arborist, knowledgable about the fine points of pruning, and dedicated to his work. He’s also a lovely human being. His prices are fair, and he will work with the customer to prioritize wisely to accommodate a budget. He has always responded right away to my inquiries, has done the work on schedule, and has meticulously cleaned up. Our trees and shrubs are much better off after several years in the care of An Artist’s Touch.
