ARS Restoration Specialists

We are having the same experience as Jess. ARS was our insurance preferred contractor (nationwide-​another nightmare). Our initial contact person was Jason. He was terrible. The first «crew» in our home broke some of our belongings and generally were disrespectful and unprofessional. I couldn’t take it anymore and kicked them out of my home. The second crew was better but, we are still waiting for work to be completed. This was damage from winter 2015. Now we are dealing with Stan and he was a former owner. Months of email exchanges and ARS can not figure out how to collect money from the insurance company that hired them. This is important because they are issuing a check back to us– so we can replace the stuff that they broke. Good Luck.

We had a burst pipe in our finished basement causing a large flood and huge damage to the walls, ceilings, and contents. Our insurance adjuster recommended ARS to come in and do the remediation services. ARS was there the next day and worked for a week to remove all the wet plaster and chalkboards, as well as dry out the basement to the best of their ability. They did a nice job, managed the project well and delivered on time. Stan Piltch was our project manager and was very prompt in returning phone calls or emails even on weekends. Thank you ARS.
I should add that ARS did not do the re-​build of our basement, only the remedial work.

Most disorganized and dishonest contractors around!
As the preferred contractor of our insurance company, ARS took on the project to repair the damages in our house caused by an ice dam. Five months and numerous project managers (Justin is the latest) and «crews» later, only ¹⁄₃ of the work has been done. We called and called, waited and waited, no one shows up. Deposit paid, floors and walls have been ripped open and no completion of project is in sight. Now it’s October and getting cold again. We are completely disappointed and outraged!
It’s been a disaster and we will never use ARS again!!!

Super ethical company with a great work ethic. I’ve had a number of business to business dealings with the principles and I have absolutely no doubts about recommending them to my Boston friends. They pride them self on consistently good communication and quality service. Rich Pilch has been in the business for 28 years, knows what he’s talking about. Great company.

ARS has handled a number of insurance claims for my insurance agency’s clients. They’re always on the job and know what to do to make sure that our clients lives are put back in order as fast as possible.
They also go one step above cleaning up after a loss, they also do the rebuild which helps expedite claims immensely.

I was instructed by my insurance company to have ARS Services cover a hole in my roof and remove the tree that broke a hole in my roof. This is the only time I have ever conducted business with ARS, so that should be stated right up front.
The short story, they did not perform all the work that they were paid to perform and tried to get me to sign a form (without reading it) that would have obligated me to pay any and all costs with additional interest after 30-​days (regardless of what the insurance company would reimburse me for on my policy). I thought this was wrong and I think it’s an unfair business practice that many people that do not read contracts may have signed without knowing it. They were supposed to cut away and remove the tree limbs from my yard, but they simply dragged them off to the side and left them there and charged the insurance company $ 676.00 for removal.
the long story is ARS is a preferred service provider for the insurance company. A three person team arrived at my home to cover my the hole in my roof. Immediately the supervisor of the team tried to get me to sign a form that stated language to the effect, «You the home owner are responsible to pay all costs associated with the work performed on your home regardless of the amount reimbursed to you by the insurance company». The team did not have strong English skills, so perhaps they did not even understand what they were asking me to sign. I had not been given a detailed estimate therefore I was not going to sign any forms until I understood what teh cost would be and what the insurance company would cover. In the end I refused to sign the form and they did a good job covering the hole in the roof. They were supposed to cut the oak tree limbs up and remove them from the property according to the insurance company. This work was not performed and they left the cut away roofing material and gutter in my back yard and departed the site. I would not recommend ARS Services because they did invoice the insurance company for the cost of the tree removal but they never performed that work. My claims adjuster was made aware of the fact, but seemed more interested in closing the claim and paid them $ 676.00 for the work they did perform. ARS did cover the hole in the roof well enough so that no additional water entered my home, so that was my primary concern. That is why I gave them an «okay» (3-​Star) rating and not a «I’ve experienced better» (2-​Star) rating. The guys doing the work were hard workers and I do not want to harm them with the rating, they simply could not read and speak English well enough to proper answer questions.
ARS Services might be okay for some tasks, but I cannot recommend them based upon my experience with the company.
