Bay State Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Do NOT go to Baystate Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram under any circumstances. That is unless you want to be treated with respect until the second you sign the sales document, you want to pay extra car and insurance payments or you want your brand new car to come out of the service center with a huge yellow dent in the bumper.
I leased my first Jeep through them and the very first time I brought it in for a routine oil change and a recall, I noticed a huge yellow scrape and dent on my bumper. While moving my car in/​out of the garage, they managed to hit one of their yellow concrete polls, then had the nerve to deny it until I pressed for security footage and actually matched to the poll where the car was hit. They took it out back and after an hour, returned it buffered but still with a noticeable dent. I asked the manager to call me so I could have it documented for when I turned in the lease, no call back.
Fast forward two years, I turn in my Jeep for a new lease, I take full responsibility for this terrible decision. I’m a smart person, I should have known better. I went to pick up the car after an entire day of playing phone tag with both the insurance company and my sales contact. Apparently, the sales guy I dealt with was too busy securing new deals to return any of mine or the insurance company’s calls. I finally get the keys after waiting in the lobby for an hour and cross my fingers hoping I won’t have to go back until I turn in the keys on this lease and take my business elsewhere in a couple of years.
A week and a half goes by and my insurance calls to let me know that the plates on the original Jeep were never deactivated, although that was something that Rafael was supposed to do the DAY I dropped off the vehicle, so I was responsible for the coverage within those last 10 days. Not a big deal seeing as it amounted to a few extra dollars for the month, but annoying none the less that it was something he was supposed to do and did not.
Another week and a half goes by and I notice that my account has been charged for the car payment of the original vehicle and upon closer inspection of my account, has not been closed out, although AGAIN this was something that Rafael and the dealership were supposed to take care of on the DAY that I dropped off the vehicle. I left messages with the general manager all day, none of which were returned and I was eventually told at 3 PM that he was ‘out for the afternoon’.
Bottom line is, the receptionist is rude and unhelpful, the sales guys seem genuine but then couldn’t give a rats ass to you after you’ve given them their commission, and they do not follow through with necessary paperwork to ensure that you are not paying for a vehicle that you turned in to their hands.

Would not bring my car anywhere else for service. Have been coming for years. Mike, Ryan, and the rest of the team in service are very reasonable, as well as professional. In the body shop, Chris and Chuck are the best in the business…

Rob from Sales was wonderful to deal with. He’s young, knew his stuff about Jeeps and you can tell that he truly loves cars. He’s not the stereotypical car salesman and he made this experience enjoyable. I brought my 1 year old with me to test drive Jeeps and Rob was patient, great with the kid, and still was able to tell me every little detail about the cars we were driving. He was able to find the exact car I was looking to get for the right price.

I was there for a few hours they lied to me and my husband. They also have hidden cost and have very high doc fees compared to others in the area. I have never seen a horrible looking dealership in my life. You have to pay to park and go out back to the service center it might make you think twice about buying from them car after car lined up to be repaired. The sales manager is very rude if you dont buy from them and hates competitive and knowledgeable shoppers. Please think twice and go to Medford Dodge there still a dealer but you dont get the BS that you get at newton Baysteal jerk d — head ripoff gives.

A «20 min– quick» service appointment was really TWO HOURS. After an hour– I was told it would be another 20 min, then after an hour and a half, I was told «he is finishing up»…finally my jeep was ready after 2+hours. HORRIBLE service. I would never go back there.
The only helpful people were the receptionist and the manager in the sales area.

Awful. Unprofessional. Rude. Initially decided to go with Jeep Compass and changed my mind. Refused to refund the «refundable» deposit for 3 weeks. Salesperson was helpful and pleasant. Definitely would not go back.

If I had to sum up their service department in 3 words it would easily be «WAY TO SLOW!»

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I would give 0 or negative stars if Unilocal allowed. The only positive experience was talking to the General Manager. Our car salesman was an incompetent fool. I feel bad saying that but time and time again he did not know what he was doing or talking about. I came from CT because they have the specific car that I wanted. We communicated through email and attempted to through the phone. I could never get him to respond. I had to call and ask to speak with the general manager to get the salesman to call back. I could not have explained myself more clearly. I wanted to come up and purchase the vehicle that weekend but he would not confirm back with me. When getting there he had no idea what he was doing. Had to redo the paper work because he messed up. We had a couple questions with the car. The driver side window was slow going down and up. Asked for that to be looked at and the back rotors needed to be changed. Rotors were changed. Window was never looked at. If I didn’t live 2 and half hours away and worked 80 hours a week I would drive it back to be fixed. When we were there he was trying to rush us out to talk to someone else. We had to set up plans for them to deliver the vehicle because MA will not give temp plates to allow me to drive it home and register. When we did set up plans he was 2 hours late and had not gone to the dmv already like planned. After all was said and done I got an email couple weeks later saying that they wanted more money for registration when I had already paid for the registration. I replied through email and asked for a response and never got one. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!

My spouse and I went to them with the car we wanted to see and were completely approved through our bank. When we sat down to purchase, they jerked us around saying there was a mistake with the advertised price, but they would guarantee the price we saw. Then later they said the price was only if we went through them with financing. Over all, they got us a little bit of a better rate, and we got the car we wanted, but at what cost? We spent the entire day, jumping through hoops, their story kept changing, and a few weeks later when I got all the notifications, turns out they ran our credit at 10 different places. THAT alone is enough to make me never want to deal with these people again. Especially when we basically walked in with cash, from their point of view. I feel they took advantage of our situation, and were not at all focused on our needs. Did I mention we are a military family? You’d think they would try to take care of us, considering how much we sacrifice every day. Take everything they say with a grain of salt, and just be prepared to walk away and look elsewhere. I wish we would have had the time to do the same.

Even one star is too much it took them 3 weeks to fix my car and I am still having issues bad customer service a bit sarcastic at times but when you pay over 2000 dollar, yes I said that right ! I do not expect them causing more electrical problems stay away from them

It has a great location, but interior and their computers, transaction machines are all outdated, aka slow process. My family’s main focus was to get a decent deal, which they were able to grant within a day. I was mostly content because I only cared about the price, but according to my family and colleagues’ opinions, smile and maybe a courtesy of free tea/​water would make experience much better for customers.

Michael and Braden were both extremely helpful in helping my wife and I purchase our new Jeep Patriot. Of all the places that our car search took us and of all the salespeople we met, Mike and Braden were, by far, the most helpful and most fair. They helped to make it easy to arrive at a fair price that we could both agree on and they went above and beyond to answer every question we had about our new car. Additionally, Kathy at the front desk was extremely informative, helpful, and patient when my wife called with multiple questions.
I would highly recommend Baystate if you’re in the search for a new car!

Michael has taken great care of me and my 2005 Jeep Liberty… he’s a pleasure to work with… the manager also had a crew member go out of there way to give me a lift home… BIG THANKS TO JIMMY!

If you need body shop work, ask for Chuck. He always takes good care of my Wrangler and never makes me feel like an idiot when explaining repairs. He is excellent at communicating the status of job & takes great care of his customers.

Just left Baystate Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, and I am not impressed in the least. I have owned 7 Dodge Ram vehicles in the past 6 years and was on my way to their dealership after making a deal over the phone with David Quigley. Mr. Quigley had given numbers over the phone for the two trucks that we I was going to do the deal on. When I arrived at the dealership, not only were the vehicle prices over $ 1500.00 higher than what was agreed upon, but one of the vehicles had scratches all over the hood. After asking about the scratches, I was told they were selling me the vehicle AS/​IS — Yes, on a brand new 2014 vehicle! I am supposed to buy this vehicle but still get delivered a scratched hood on a brand new truck! Come on!
Furthermore, to make this adventure even more comical, after they test drove my trade, they decided to park the vehicle in a no-​parking zone which landed me a 25 $ parking ticket! What kind of half-​wits work at this establishment?
In closing, I have contacted Ram customer care. Your practices are dishonest at best. I will be sure to let others know my experiences.

We had a great experience at Baystate. We were in town for our daughter’s college graduation, and the windshield wipers malfunctioned (at the same time that on-​and-​off rain moved into the area). With no time to spare, we arrived at Baystate at 9 a.m., and were on our way at 10 a.m., with the wiper assembly fixed. The entire staff could not have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We wish we lived in the area so we could be regular customers.

After searching Jeep corporate site for the closest dealer (Baystate), I came in for a visit to check out a Grand Cherokee as Sandy decided my last car’s time had come. I spoke with Jim Goldberg and did a quick test drive. Mr Goldberg was the only sales consultant during my search that did not call/​email unless there was something good to say. I did not end up buying a car here as I went for a car that better suited my needs. However, if you are in a market for a jeep/​dodge/​chrysler, I’d say consider giving Mr Goldberg a call.

Boo, Baystate! What the heck happened on my second visit?
I got my car towed here after it died because I felt I was treated honestly during my first visit. My second time: not so much.
After about an hour of diagnostics, I was told that all my car needed was a new battery, and that I would be all set. I paid the $ 150 for the battery and drove home. This was Saturday.
Monday rolled around and I was getting ready to leave for work when my car wouldn’t start. Terrible timing! A bit perturbed, I got my car jumped and came back to Baystate. Additionally, now my speedometer wasn’t working, which wasn’t an issue before. I also told them to tack on a brake lightbulb replacement because my mom noticed it was out when she was following me to the shop.
After two days, they called to let me know that it was still just a battery issue, and that they didn’t see anything else wrong with the car. They told me that they would have to start charging me man hours in order to figure out what the problem was with the speedometer, however. I told them to forget the speedometer issue, and that I would bring my car elsewhere for the additional work.
I noticed a few days later that they totally scratched my car while putting in the new brake light bulb! They’re very noticeable squiggles, and it was clearly done with a screwdriver or something of the sorts.
So, now I need a new auto body shop… Any suggestions for where to bring my Jeep for honest service that is reasonably priced. AND WHERE THEY WON’T SCRATCH YOUR CAR?

I will definitely not be back and I do not recommend that anyone use their services. I had been here before when it was Clark and White and had a horrible experience. When they re-​branded into Baystate, I decided to give them a try again, what a bad idea. I dropped my Jeep off on a Wednesday and they promised me that it would be ready by Friday. Friday rolled around and I still had not heard from them, so I decided to give them a call. When I called I was informed that it would be ready tomorrow (Saturday). Saturday rolls around and I did not get a call, so I called them to see what was up. They told me that they were still waiting on parts and that it would be ready Monday. I told them that I was stuck and did not have a ride and ask for a loaner car. They said that they could not offer me one but could get me a discounted rental car at $ 35/​day. So I am supposed to pay even more money when they can’t get my car done when they had promised. Not to mention, I looked at rental car prices and found one for $ 18/​day. So, we get to Monday and I still don’t get a call. I had to call them and ask when it was going to be ready. They finally got the car to me on Monday but I almost had a heart attack when I saw the bill, $ 1,900! $ 600 for parts and $ 1,300 for labor. Their labor rates are $ 115 per hour. I did some investigating and found that the labor on the job I got done should have been around 5 hours. They charged me for 11!
Advice to Baystate:
1) Call your customers and let them know when they can expect their car, don’t drag them along.
2) Offer loaner cars, or rental cars actually at a discounted price
3) Follow the Chrysler time guides for labor and don’t rip off your customers.
4) People who come in for services with high miles will probably need to buy a new car in the future. If you treat them well, they most likely will return a buy a new car from you. I was planning on buying a new car, but now it will not be from you!
Advice to Customers:
1) Don’t go to Baystate
2) Do your research so you know when you are getting ripped off.

Just in for another service again, and I couldnt be happier!
I know a lot of dealers get bad reps, and a lot of people say you have to go to an independent versus a dealer so you dont get ripped off…
but the reality is, the dealer knows your car better than an independent that has to know 39 different brands!
But that aside, I needed an oil change. again. my 16K check up. I called yesterday, they said «come on in tomorrow morning’ no appointment needed
I went in, they did the oil change for me quick, they accepted my expired coupon, and they even swapped in new lug nuts for me (one had broken) for no charge, and i was out in 45 minutes
Good service, good price, cant beat it.
