I came in to have some repair work done, and Doug was very helpful, and enjoyable to deal with. He always called when he said he would, even if there were no updates to give. It is nice to be waited on in a relaxed, professional atmosphere and to talk with someone who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his industry. In planning a wedding there are lots of vendors and different companies you need to deal with. With each one we had to argue and go back and forth to get a fair price, never mind the curveballs that came our way. The one exception to that was getting out wedding bands from Doug. He was very transparent, honest, and educated us throughout the process. He also has a wide variety of other jewelry in his store which is something I will remember next time I am looking to buy any jewelry again.

Doug is great. He is relaxed, honest, knowledgable and straightforward. At no point did I feel he was trying to rip me off, and I came out of the appointment knowing I am going to get exactly what I need and for a fair price. Working with Doug you know the quality of the product you’re getting, and you know you’re getting a fair price.

His advice was very knowledgeable and he had my earrings repaired in a timely manner for a decent price.

My fiancé’ went to Boston Jewelry Company to purchase my engagement ring. He had a picture of a ring that I liked and Doug created the ring to fit my style and personality through a custom design. Not only was my fiancé’ thrilled with the process of creating an engagement ring but was impressed by Doug’s knowledge and eye for the perfect diamond. Needless, to say we also purchased a custom-​made wedding band for my me and a wedding band for my future husband. We also too a few heirloom items to Doug in hopes of giving them to a new person to love and Doug came through in revamping/​restoring the pieces for new use! Doug was patient, kind, and very accommodating through the entire process. He made us feel welcome and respected in the store and happy and confident with our purchases! We will definitely be making future purchases from Doug!

When I searched for Boston’s jewelry repair shop with the best ratings — the internet didn’t lie. I now see why Boston Jewelry Company shows up with five stars — because it truly is!
I needed a watch repair, for a watch that I didn’t even buy there, and they offered to fix it for me for free! They ended up having to make a specific new part, charging me a small fee, but not without double-​checking and calling me first very promptly.
They did a fantastic and quick job with the watch, and customer service was top-​knotch. Doug is truly fantastic, personable, and professional.

Doug is fantastic. I had him fix a necklace for me and basically reset it onto a new chain, however I needed it in quick turnaround… he made it happen, even though it took some shuffling and it was truly appreciated. So, in short, excellent customer service.
The store isn’t too large but has a good selection of some high end pieces and they seem to be able to order anything/​customize.
The work I got back looks quality and beautiful… Looking forward to testing it in time :) I will return.
