History

Established in 1997.

It all began when a restless bookkeeper had a passion to open a bridal and formal wear boutique. With the help and support of her husband, daughters, and family, her dreams and her vision came to life.

The Elegant Bride Formal Wear & Tuxedo Central first opened for business November 29, 1997 in downtown Newton. As our business grew, we quickly outgrew our space, and moved just outside Newton. After 8 years, we found ourselves looking for a larger space, and in November 2014, we re-​located back to beautiful downtown Newton. Our new place is perfect and we are excited to be back where we belong.
