Mark Costa, M.D. is a Partners Award winning physician from Mass General Hospital, Partners Healthcare. His concierge medical practice complements conventional medical care with integrative medicine. Dr. Costa specializes in heart disease, hypertension, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

History

Established in 2002.

Dr. Costa’s patients from Executive Health at Mass General followed him to his group practice at Mass General. Being the executive entrepreneurs they encouraged Dr. Costa to start a concierge practice in the late 1990’s. Their tenacity, and a fledgling insurance reimbursement system led Mark to concierge medical.

In 2007, Dr. Costa left Mass General to begin his concierge practice full time. In 2008, his wife, Marilyn Chown, RN, BSN, MPH, who practiced medical research Harvard, left her position to bring lifestyle education to their patients.

SInce 2008, Ms. Chown and Dr. Costa have studied functional medicine and integrate these principles in their practice. Marilyn’s medical and research background allows her to evaluate published science to determine it’s relevance.

Presenting conventional and progressive medical options to their patients, The patient can choose the treatment which resonate with their personal health care philosophy.
