Specialties
Music Together® classes foster your child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement. This program provides all elements children need to achieve basic musical skills to enjoy school and social musical activities, and to study an instrument.
Canta y Baila Conmigo classes, crafted by a local native speaker, build Spanish language, cultural, and musical competence in your child – and you! With three sections and a world-class CD, this curriculum has come into its own. More and more families are taking both classes, with a discount for the 2nd class. Ask us!
Ukulele for kids ages 4 – 7: ukulele is a wonderful stepping-stone to guitar or other instruments for young ones: only four strings, made of soft nylon, and tuned a lot like a guitar but sized more like a violin. This curriculum includes chording and strumming, singing, movement, and rhythm, the major scale and beginning notation. Adult participation, while welcome, is optional.

Meet the Business Owner
Julia P.
Business Owner
Julia Priest has been teaching Music Together and directing this organization in Newton for a dozen years. She came to early childhood music and movement teaching through her own son’s toddler years when she discovered that the Music Together curriculum was richer and more satisfying than any other mommy-and-me class she could find. She now holds the highest Music Together Certification for Teaching Mastery, Level II. In class she plays a beautiful red acoustic guitar and sometimes recorder or drum; voice is her primary instrument. For fun, Julia dances Lindy Hop, Blues, Argentine Tango, Salsa, or any other social dance that presents itself. Just ask, she’ll drag you out dancing too.
