My goto dry-​cleaners, for about eight years.
Primarily because I find the staff friendly, and they recognize that my other half and I both use the same place, so I can pick up for her and vice versa. Plus the 24-​hour machine means I can go there even if I’m coming home late after work. Plus the parking lot which is rarely full, unlike most of Newton Center.
The pricing on laundered shirts seems ok, actual dry cleaning gets steeper.

Horrible miserable people! Bought a Groupon for this place came in and they were like «oh well you used one last year so we are not going to honor it» what a JOKE! Businesses like this should lose all their customers. You obviously need Groupon to bring in business, then you treat your customers like garbage! REAL smart, thats why I am a Dependable Cleaners customer

I recently moved to the metro west area but work in Newton. Every dry cleaner i have gone to has always had hours that are difficult for me to make, since I tend to work late. When I passed by Zoots, and saw that they have a 24 hour machine, I inquired inside and found out that you could pick up your clothes 24 hours a day. I started using Zoots several months ago and have had great success and feel it is one thing I do not have to worry about because now I go when it is convenient for me.

I agree with the rest. Quite pricey for bad service.
I dropped off some pants and when I picked them up, they were still stained on the bottom (even though they’d gotten out one of the stained areas on the leg). I asked if they’d even tried to work on the bottom, and she said yeah, there was nothing they could do about it.
But I asked her to try again, and they were able to get it out. Now, it was free the second time, but it’s a hassle to go twice for something that cost 2x as much as everyone else that they could’ve done the first time.

Pros:
+it’s 5 minute walk from my house
+it’s much cheaper than that ridiculously overpriced place across from them
+they email you when your stuff is done
Cons:
–I gave a pair of pants to the tailor, to make them shorter. when i came in to pick them up, they only asked for half of the amount they quoted me … how nice, i thought, since i did half the work (ironed the correct length and a small ribbon was already attached on the bottom) … little did i know, that the reason they charged me half the price is because THEY ONLY DID ONE LEG!!! when my hysterical laughter stopped, i went back (thankfully it’s close to my house) and asked them (in a very nice manner) what the hell were they thinking!!! I mean, seriously … one leg!?? the lady there didn’t find it funny, strange or amusing at all … she even looked at me as if i was trying to get some free stuff out of this situation … anyways, they did my other leg a couple of days latter (for free), and it all worked out.
–I gave them my light beige jacket to clean, which had dark red stuff from my brand new leather purse all over one side … it didn’t all come out … but to give them credit, it definitely looks much better and at least wear-​able, and they did say that they cannot guarantee the stain will come out.
–tailor woman gave me looks when i brought my trench coat in to re-​attach the buttons
–they are located next to Pete’s Coffee Shop, so DO expect your clothes to smell like coffee … I don’t mind it, but it’s very unprofessional
in the end, I figured, it’s worth a drive to Baker St. cleaners, where it’s first of all cheaper, and much much much better (ttt)

«Horrible customer service. High tech place with convenient pick-​up ²⁴⁄₇ but that doesn’t begin to make up for the fact that they have twice lost items and then refused to do much of anything about it. Dry cleaning seems to be average. In one case, they lost a sash from my girlfriends $ 500 dress that was key to the look and they only offered a $ 20 credit. The second time, they lost a suit jacket and refused to do anything claiming that I had picked up the item. I refuse to ever go back to them again. Cheap and fast. They do the job– I get nervous because its so impersonal so I don’t know if I would trust them with stuff I really really adore. GOOD FOR: fast and cheap dry cleaning.
