It seems all the service stations in Newtown are owned by the same extended family. Makes one wonder if that is one of the reason the price of gas in town is higher than anywhere else outside of New York City. Maybe? Maybe not.
While I always attempt to fill up in Jersey where the prices are a good thirty cents a gallon cheaper, sometimes that is impossible. When the good option is out of the question, I visit Kerrigan’s to purchase enough fuel to get me around until I can cross the Delaware.
As Kimberly G. rightly notes, the cost here is the lowest in town. Too, Sunoco has the two grades of premium, and it is possible to go with the 90 Octane drink, rather than the 92, and save a few more shekels.
I can’t speak to the mechanic’s services. I use a cousin’s shop down on Sycamore for that, and find those folks totally reputable.

I have been a loyal customer here for over a decade, and I am not sure why I have been. I took my 2001 BMW here to see why my steering wheel shook when I braked. They came back with $ 1850 worth of stuff and it DID NOT even fix the problem. I drove it and told them it still was not fixed and they said it was not their problem. They are friendly but they ripped me off time and time again. Go to a real car specialist if you want work done on a european car.

I try not to get gas in Newtown due to the astronomical cost, but if I am forced to, this is my go to place. The have the best prices in town. They are cheaper than most places in town, but more expensive than the places outside of town.

I took my car there for inspection. they told me it passed and to come pick it up. they replaced 2 bulbs they said were bad for $ 18. i just checked the bulbs the day before! i am sure they were good! they didnt even call to let me know what i needed! they appear to be a dishonest shop! i recommend if you want honest work than you take your car somewhere else. this time it was just bulbs. next time it will be something much more expensive!!! i do not trust them at all!!! i am letting everyone i know not to go there. 2−7−12 BILL C.
