We provide tree care including pruning, bracing, tree removal and stump removal. Our staff graduate Forester /​Licensed Arborist has over 24 years in the tree care industry and is able to write tree management programs for homeowners, business parks, churches, apartments and condominium properties. We are able to diagnose insect and disease problems in trees and shrubs. Our staff Forester /​Licensed Arborist is knowledgeable in pre-​construction tree management programs to help save specimen trees. Our staff uses the A300 pruning standards as adopted by «The Connecticut Tree Protection Association (CTPA) and «The International Society of Arboriculture».

History

Established in 2012.

With the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy people contacted Yacko and Sons Excavation and requested help removing storm damage. The work was quite successful and the owner Kevin Yacko decided to do full time tree removals. In March of 2014 Jeff Cowden Forester /​Licensed Arborist joined the team and we began offering full tree care pruning, removals and bracing.

Manager

Jeff Cowden holds a B.S. degree in Forest Timber Management from Mississippi State University. Jeff began his arboriculture career with a national tree company in Chicago, IL. where he climbed trees and worked on tree crews for 18 months to learn all aspects of the tree care industry. His sales career included training with «Dale Carnegie Sales Training» and «The Sandler Sales Institute» where he graduated top of his class. Job experiences have taken him to several parts of the country including Washington D.C. where he developed tree management programs for several large golf courses. Jeff also worked several years as a Utility Forester in Nashville, TN and Indianapolis, IN. Jeff comes to Yacko and Sons Tree Service with exceptional experience in timber management, utility forestry and arboriculture.
