A-American Custom Flooring

We recently remodeled my parents 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Adrian Iluna and Larisa were so wonderful helping us pick tile and granite. Adrian made sure that all work done correctly and on time! Larisa just had an eye for design. We get so many compliments on the new renovation. We will definatelly recomand and use them again and again!

They have a great selection on hardwood flooring samples they also carry all you would need if you were up to refinishing your own hardwood floor

I remodeled the entire first floor of our home. We have an open floor plan so you see the tile and wood flooring and the kitchen in the focal point. A American was a large part of this renovation. I only have wonderful things to say about them. Larisa helped me with tile and wood flooring. She was so helpful and patient helping me find just the right ones. Ryan was so knowledgeable and helped with my counters and back splash. The installers were courteous and took their time. Everyone is enjoying their work !! THANK YOU A American. xo

The best selection in the northern burbs and great service.

Like most people we have driven by A-​American Custom Flooring @ 7777 N Caldwell Ave., in Niles, IL. My wife and I went there last night on the way back from the gym. The store has everything you need to finish the space from cabinets (if only we had known sooner), counter tops, flooring, backsplash, sinks… They also have a very large selection of different finishes to mix and match.
This time we stopped in because we have a reason to. We are in the process of gutting and remodeling our kitchen (Finally). We got there just before 7 pm not knowing that they closed @ 7. Obviously they weren’t too keen on helping us as they probably wanted to go home. Understandable.
So I went back today around 11:20 am today. Nobody to meet and/​or greet customers. Would it be so hard to at least acknowledge a person coming into the store. I wandered around for almost 25 minutes before someone came up and asked me if I needed any help. I guess the time alone was ok because it gave me time to look at Countertop colors and match tiles for the backsplash I was about to walk out when Ryan came up and assisted me. After listening to what I was looking for he was able to help me. He provided the pricing for the field measurements after the base cabinets are installed, fabrication of the counter, cutout for an under counter mount & a double bowl sink. Overall Ryan was knowledgeable about his area of expertise (counters) and did a good job with providing pricing for the Quartz counter w/​the sink cutout & installation.
The nice thing about A-​American Custom is they do a full service. By that I mean they not only provide the material, but they also come out and do the template and confirm the dimensions once the cabinets are installed. They then fabricate the counters, deliver the counters, cut the openings per your layout & do the installation. I like the one stop shopping and not having to find someone else to deliver and do the installation.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and baths and used A-​American for cabinets and countertops. We got a great price compared to the other places I had looked at. Peter Toader was so helpful thru the entire process! I love the kitchen layout he put together. he knew what worked and was up to date on the latest trends. The measuring was accruate and the installation was a smooth transaction.
For the countertops, we went on natural stone in the kitchen and quartz in the bathrooms. Peter was very knowledgable on the different countertops I was looking at and help me make the right decision that fit our family’s taste and needs.
Overall everything came together beautifully and couldn’t have done it without A-​American, Peter, and his team, thank you!

I used A-​American in 2004 for my Corian bathroom vanity, and again in 2014 for granite kitchen countertops. Their work is beautiful, their prices were lower than other quotes I received, and they were helpful and responsive throughout the process. I would recommend A-​American to anyone looking for countertops or vanities.

We selected a natural looking gray veining in white quartz counter and backsplash for our kitchen and adjacent powder room. Alex Salagean of A-​American Contractors & Supplies Inc did an excellent efficient job if helping us select our quartz slab, accurately measuring our cabinets, fabricating and installing the countertops and then measuring, fabricating, and installing our backsplash. Some seams were unavoidable, but they are almost invisible. Alex Salagean was helpful, but it took longer than expected to finish the job because our GE slide in dual fuel range has a most peculiar configuration at the rear. Overall, we are very pleased with the results. I’d recommend Alex Salagean of A-​American Contractors & Supplies inc, with the advice to be sure to have your general contractor follow up to ensure that all final details are handled appropriately. Our general contractor was invaluable in prodding appropriate remediation of a tiny detail in the behind the stovetop installation.

Overall, a great experience with buying and installing our quartz countertop.
With our kitchen model woefully behind schedule, a different countertop place told us our order would take 2 – 3 weeks to come in, and because of the shape of our kitchen, we’d have to pay for 2 slabs, which increased the cost per square foot considerably. As a last resort, we headed to A-​American to see what they could do for us.
I was pretty adamant that I wanted to buy our quartz at a dealer that both sold and installed countertops. If anything went wrong with the install, I knew we’d be covered because it would be the same company who sold it that installed it. With something so pricey, this is definitely the way to go.
We found the exact same quartz (same brand and color) that we liked at the other countertop store and A-​American came in with a lower price. I think this was partly because A-American’s prices are generally lower (we noticed some tile we had seen at another store was also cheaper here) and A-​American only makes you buy the amount of square feet you will actually use, not whole slabs.
We set up for our countertops to be measured the next day. Ryan came to our house and was in and out quickly. He took our new sink template with him, so he could be sure the sink hole would be cut out perfectly. He did notice that our walls weren’t at perfectly straight 90 degree angles, so he told me that the installers would need to cut into the wall a bit for the countertops to fit properly. I was glad he gave me the heads up on this, so there were no surprises come installation day.
Unfortunately, a day or so later we got a call that they were out of stock in the color we ordered, and in fact, every seller was. The color was not due to be shipped into the United States again for another 2 months. Waiting was not an option, so Ryan found us some alternatives. We headed in to view the samples in person, and picked a new kind of quartz in a similar color. Ryan honored the original quote he gave us, even though our new choice was a little more expensive.
A few days later, our countertops were installed and look amazing! Aside from the one hiccup, there were no bumps in the road. The sink hole and faucet cut outs fit great.
I know anything related to home improvement can be scary, especially when dealing with vendors, but A-​American was great to work with and I was impressed by their fast turnaround time. We have a bathroom remodel planned, and I know we’ll head to A-​American for the tiles and anything else they sell that we’ll need.

They have an outstanding selection at great prices. What else do you need? Service? The best. I have been there numerous times with additions, changes, reorders and Diana Blaga is so easy to work with, knowledgeable and accommodating. I highly recommend this merchant for tile, granite, flooring, etc. I’m a tough critic and they met all my needs and requests. Raz is great in the Granite department as well.

After much searching in the city of Chicago for a place where we could pick out granite for our countertops, that would also template, fabricate and install them, we found this place.
Raz was a total professional and a great sales person (not pushy, obviously knew what he was doing, etc.). The time between us going to their showroom to pick out the granite and having the finished product installed in our home was about a week, and the finished product is gorgeous. Highly highly recommended.
