Tried the pierogi at that one fest & it was delicious. Plus the smoked salmon dinner was great too.

As Polish delis come, Bacik carries a reputable name, stemming from its main store in the old Polish neighborhood of Jackowo. However, this satellite store in Niles is too small to offer any significant variety. It is crammed in as part of a strip mall. They have some bakery items and some deli items and some shelves with assorted Polish imports, but this is one of those stores where I walked in and walked right out. The particular Polish multi-grain bread I was looking for wasn’t there. Took me about a minute to assess its offerings and I knew I was in the wrong place. For a better selection of Polish items, go a little farther north on Milwaukee to Niles Polish Deli. With comparable square footage as this place, Niles Polish Deli packs a lot more. While you’re in the area, why not go to Jerry’s too. Anything but here.

A First Choice Bacik Deli has the best pineapple cakes. Not only that, but all of their pateries are delicious. each one has a different taste that leaves you craving for more. Even if you do have more it’s okay, because the prices are so cheap.
