History
Established in 1966.
Family-owned and operated, Better Kitchens has hundreds of satisfied customers in Chicago, Park Ridge, Glenview and the North Shore.
Better Kitchens is proud to be the oldest full-service Wood-Mode and Brookhaven dealer in the Chicago area, having brought the hand-finished custom cabinetry to the market over 50 years ago. Wood-Mode has earned a reputation for excellence in design, materials, construction and finishes and is renowned for both its full custom and semi-custom lines.
For over 60 years, Wood-Mode has made what we consider the finest cabinets available. Ed Zielinski, founder of Better Kitchens, was one of the first Wood Mode dealers in the country as he immediately recognized the superior material, design and hand-craftsmanship employed by the fledgling company back in the 1960’s.
