Chase Bank

I attempted to deposit cash to my husband’s’ account today and was told that it was against the law! I am like my husband deposits cash to my Citibank account all the time. I deposit cash to my son’s Bank of America account, all the time. But they were like, «no», we cannot accept cash from you unless you have an account with us! I have never heard of a bank not accepting cash! I can understand if I were attempting to withdraw cash or even deposit a check, but cash??? So, now I have to persuade my husband to get an account with Citibank, lol.

I don’t think I’ve realized how long its been since I’ve been to an actual bank until I stepped into this Chase. Usually I go to the Chase on Golf and Milwaukee, but that one is usually packed and this location is a lot less hectic. The whole place was revamped! They have two of their new ATM machines for easy transactions, but only one teller station with two bankers. There is also someone that greets you to guide to toward your needs. I was looking to change my type of bank account with them because the one I had, started to charge me a service fee.
The man told me and my father to wait in their little seating area and offered coffee while I waited. I was happily greeted by Zehra Jiwani – who turned out to be the woman who initially helped me set up my checking account several years ago and had worked with both of my parents. She even remembered my father! Talk about excellent customer service.
I had to be in Chase for only 15 minutes and Zehra had already taken care of my needs and answered my questions. It was a pleasure to have her as my banker because of the smile on her face and her willingness to help me out as a loyal Chase customer – I definitely recommend asking for Zehra the next time you stop in! (Psst, she even gave me a bunch of coin sleeves because I told her I had a bunch of change I needed to change into cash! So nice!).

Awful. They have ONE teller station. The rest of the space is used by a couple self-​service stations and then lots of personal banker cubicles. Why would you only have one teller station?! If I actually physically go into a bank, it’s because I need a teller. I can do self service stuff at home! Plus all the personal bankers are standing around and not helping customers while there’s a line of people. Get stuck behind just one person with a complicated issue (like I did), and you’ll be standing there all day. There was an elderly lady with a cane in front of me, and she just could not stand in line that long, so she had to go sit down. I tried to save her place, but I finally had to leave and go to another location because this place is total nonsense.

Stay away from this location, lack of customer service meets arrogance kind of deal. Constant long lines, bankers talking to each other (like 3 of them) and only one working as a teller, when asked to help they give lame excuses. Terrible !
Not first time awful experience there !
