Henry is no longer owner. Henry, by the way, was a master old world tailor, a true craftsman. Sue is not personable, nor did she do a good job the 3 times I went to her. She charged double Henry’s prices, and truthfully, I could have done the same thing with my sewing machine at home. She is not a craftsman. Also, she lied to me that Henry was in Europe and was returning. I wish I would have caught on to her before my third visit.

This man is a true master craftsman! I take all my pants to him and after alterations they look as if they were made that way from the start. The service is always prompt and the price is more than reasonable, especially for the quality of service.

Henry, is probably the best tailor around. He can fix anything, and he does the best work ever from simple jobs to complex ones. I would recommend him to everyone. He also does dry cleaning, and has cleaned the most difficlult stains on the most delicate clothes. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I had a terrible experience at Henry’s Tailor and Cleaners. I came in to bring in my wedding dress based on the suggestion of my friend. So, I came in and he had me change into my dress in a changing room which was equivalent to the size of a large phonebooth. Talk about awkward in a white poofy wedding dress! So I come out and I tell him I need it shortened and need a bustle added. He works on the hemline and puts pins on the bottom. No problem. Then he spends about 20 minutes or so working on pinning the bustle. Never having done this or witnessed this before, I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to take this long. He would pin it and unpin it over and over again, not exactly sure how to handle it. Then, in horror, I see that he had poked himself and bled all over my dress. During this time, he’s trying to convince me that any tailor would have a difficult time trying to figure out a bustle… and that my dress was complicated… pretty much making excuses for not being able to figure it out. I left angry and irritated and did what I should have done in the first place — I went to Unilocal.I found Old Orchard Tailors, showed her my dress, and she pinned it perfectly the first time — in less than 5 minutes. Needless to say she did it without poking a ton of holes in my dress, and more importantly without any blood stains.
