We are privileged to have one of the last fully trained horologists (watchmakers) and jeweler of 35 years, on the central coast, James Simons. He and his wife Mary a graphics designer, strive to provide expert services in design and fair trade to our clients. In being the only jewelry store in Nipomo, Carats to Karat has added a much needed service to the area with custom design skills, jewelry and watch repairs as well as the fairest gold buying around. We are able to accommodate a wide variety of services in the industry to our local community and our online clientele. History

Established in 2009.

We have been in business since 2012 but recently acquired the business as sole proprietors. James Simons has been a jeweler for 35 years as well as a watchmaker. He specializes in restoring antique timepieces and creating beautiful jewelry in the old European craftsman style, from scratch. Producing excellent work for our customers in a timely fashion is our number one goal. We look forward to serving our local and online clientele with respect and honesty.
